  1. didn't mean to stir up a hornets nest on here. she is a GREAT player. super fast. good shooter. smart. shut down defense. as an unbiased fan watching her play yest. eubank caused her all kinds of problems. i think she stole like 3 of her passes trying to get it over her head.maybe that's not normal for her. idk. just saying i watched eubank in person and wasn't impressed. the teams that uconn plays will be much longer and better. good luck to her. definitly big time program. the biggest of bigs in womens college basketball.

I think you have to consider the fact that was the 4th time they had played this year and God knows how many times they have played against each other since elementary school. Familiarity could have played a part in that.

  2. After looking at the scores of Elizabethtown playing Happy Valley and Unicoi Co who were 3rd and 4th seeds in District 1-A, it does not appear either match up with Elizabethtown. All 4 games were blowouts. Riverdale was in both games with Blackman to the end and actually won 3 of 8 quarters played between the two games. This isn't even the same situation.

    So why avoid them?
  3. there really isnt a way to police this. You can't tell someone they can't move. You also can't prove that they were recruited.

Who is to say Suzy was recruited by someone in or affiliated with the program, but Jessica's mom and dad were tired of living in an apartment and decided to buy a house

  4. LET IT GO SIR.....YOU WOULDN'T GET PAST TYNER OR BRAINERD THIS SEASON.....THE OTHERS.....YES...AND I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT REGARDLESS OF WHAT A TROLLER THINKS.....BLACKMON AND siegel ARE RIVALS AND WOULD LOVE TO KNOCK EACH OTHER OFF TO ADCAVCE TO  THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND I DOUBT THEY WILL LET YOU STAND IN THE WAY OF THAT....IT'S A RIVAL LIKE NO OTHER....siegel WON THE REGULAR SEASON....AND BLACKMON WON THE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP....SEIGAL WON THE REGION...AND COULD BE A REMATCH FOR THE TITLE IF THEY CAN GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE WITH A WIN...THAT'S ALL I'M SAYN...GOOD LUCK :thumb:

I live in Murfreesboro and I can tell you Blackman and Siegel really aren't rivals. Blackman's has more of a rivalry with Riverdale and Siegel has more of a rivalry with Oakland.

  5. I dont havea dog in this fight but felt liek sharing this thought I understand the sentiment and concern but honestly if you look at last year's Riverdale team very few of the players on the team played together in Elementary and Middle School. If you look at the Starting 5 1 was from Chattanoog, 1 went to Christiana Middle, 1 went to Rockvale Middle, 1 went to MTCS in middle school and the 6th man(girl) went to Siegel Middle. Riverdale has 3 feeder middle schools. In reality most of Riverdale's players were playing against each other not with each other in middle school.

  6. Im not advocating for or against Jamborees I guess I just dont see how 2 quarters a of a jamboree is any more dangerous than a 1-2 hour scrimamge. I understand there are a lot of risks in football. I know Blackman had a player go down with an injury in last year's jamboree but If not mistaken one of Oakland's best players went down with an injury in a scrimmage recently so I dont see the difference.

  7. Just to clarify a few things the spring practice rules for football and basketball are the same. You have 15 days to get in 10 practices. As far as AAU goes TSSAA has absolutely no jurisdiction over what AAU does. Secondly the rule about not having more than 3 teammates on the same travel/summer/AAU team is only applicicable during the fall season wants schools starts. So on a summer AAU team you can have your whole school team on the roster but if you were to put a team together in some sort of fall league you could only have 3 kids from the same high school team.

  8. Does anyone know how many time Howard has been to the state? It seems like the go to the state almost every signel year and that's about it, they never do any damage as far as winning the whole thing. Is the district and region Howard belongs to so weak they just waltz to the state every year regardless. I don't mean that in a bad way, I just mean is it really that easy? Just asking.

I would bet the one thing more sure than anything in high school basketball before the seasons start every years is that Howard is going to state. Seems like that's about as close to a sure thing as anything.

I think Howard owns the record for most state tournament appearances without actually winning the title or something crazy like that
