  1. I was hoping to see you there tonight. Probably saw the rain and said forget it. Beech defeated Springfield by a pretty wide margin. I don't remember the final score. Hendersonville defeated Beech 45-27.

Yep, I was afraid they would call it off.

    Congrats to the Commandos!

Hope to make to Region at HHS.

  2. There are several big duals tonight.

    Beech vs Springfield

    winner vs hendersonville

    Ravenwood vs Franklin

    MtJuliet vs Siegel

Any other big duals across the state that we should be aware of?

What time is the match in S'field?

  3. Wrestling is not a real sport,ANY body can wrestle!

This isn't anything new. When I was in HS in the late 70's eam we had a BB and Wrestling teams that excelled. The BB players kept on saying crap like wrestling isn't a sport. So one day we met them on the BB floor and they one by a few points. That team had 2 D-1 players. When they went to the mats it was like lambs to the slaughter. They wanted to fight after their backs went on the mat. :roflol: They didn't win one match.

  4. 1st Bob Jones

    2nd Hendersonville

    3rd Wilson Central

    4th Beech

Matcontrol should have results up today... I hope soon anyway!!

Thanks sorry I didn't make it. It was cool seeeing the matches. You might as well said who was wrestling in each match. I could hear voices during the match. Looks like some exciting matches are still to be held between the Commandos and Bucs. Might have to miss some work to watch the match at HHS this year.

  5. 125-Richards(wilson central) over Siegel

    130 Garcia (McGavock) over Klienhart(Becch))

    135 Belcher(Wilson Central) over Sawyer(Harpeth)

    145 Brown(Hunters Lane) over ??????

    171 Roberts(Beech) over ???????

    285 Beech over Wilson Central

    Sorry thats all I remember.

The Beech Hvy is looking good for such a young guy. Good luck.

Who was the top 3 teams?

  6. Not everybody can compete nationally or they would. Thats why everybody doesn't get to wrestle in college. So tell your best JV wrestler to go to the beast of the east, ironman, or super 32 tell me how he does and if he competed with the competition or got ran over.

    Some don't care!

It's great to love wrestling but there are plenty of young men still in football, CC, Baseball and Soccer.

These young men don't have the time to go to the National Tourneys. Many have jobs earning their way in life.

However they are good enough athletes to excel in wrestling.

So your view is a little one side and arrogant.

  7. Field Goal Phil was notorious about letting backyard talent go on to other D1 Schools...

Don't forget Chad Pennington from Webb

If Nick Reveiz had not have walked on he would have been playing at Miss St or some other program. He was lucky enough to have the Money to walk on and earn his position.

  9. The East Lit and WM route makes sense to me, but they aren't exactly powerhouses.

East Lit has the kind of speed that SP had. You want a bigger program see if the Maplewood, Pearl, White House, Goodpasture, etc will give you a game. Maplewood has been going to Chattanooga for games.

Goodpasture plays a few 6A programs and wins. Your program could step up to 3A or $a to test your metal and get ready for a run to state.

    Good Luck

BTW-The TK Girls in Hendersonville were Cheering for you last Fri. LOL50513_337412950640_146401_n.jpg

  10. All those schools in Chattanooga and you can't find games. Come on.

Step up like Alcoa did a few years ago and play McCallie, Baylor, ND, Redbank etc. Alcoa played anyone any where. I think that is what made them so respected in the state. :thumb:

Your team looked great during the State Championship game. Heck invite Alcoa down! That will test your metal. :o

  11. Beech beat Hendersonville last night. I think the score was 41-34.

There were some really great matches. Some reason the Commandos scratched their 103. Beech had the match won with 3 matches left.

There have been close matches over the last 6 years but the Commandos all ways came out on top. I was told that this is the 1st lost in 10 years vs Beech.

The Beech wrestlers seamed stronger and had better endurance.

Good luck to both teams this weekend at Slamfest!

Beech Bucs, new Wrestlin rm= new results.
