Yes, I know all the guys from my HS team in the late 70's had the highest respect for the TSB Grapplers. I was booed at one match for my TSB opponet flying into the stands. I didn't throw him he just knew how to use the "have to stay in contact rule" to his advantage. Smart Grappler!
I wish I saw their team more in duals and Tourneys. Great folks!

oh, i know, im a small school man myself (go wildcats), but it just seemed like no one was talking about them
Ohhhhhh sorry about the Stupid Remark

Farragut-Justin Knox for skill.
Biggest heart-Nick Reveiz which makes him the greatest wrestler in my book.
2 x State Champ.
Hendersonville-
Nick Bundy-
3 X State Finalist, 2 x State Champ

Where is the luv and consideration for the small schools??
ya really, its like no one cares about the little guys
Stupid remark. Anyone who loves wrestling. Some of the best Duals come out of this group. There are State Champs on those teams most years.
Watching Bradley Distroy all the teams in their Group in most years is not great unless your a BC Bear. However, plenty of Ind State Champs to watch
Watch the small schools and see.

The 103, 171 and Hvy wgt match were fun matches to watch and could have been best match.

Teams the Commandos beat-
Herrin (IL), Johnson City(IL), Marion(IL), MurphysBoro(IL), and Litchfield(IL).

Clarksville High 46 Dickson County 27
Clarksville High 56 Montgomery Central 16
Clarksville High 42 Hendersonville 22
I'm not sure of the scores between the other teams. Maybe someone else can help fill in the blanks.
With the scores being about the same for the losing teams. There should have been some good matches. Congrats to Clksville!

roberts beat trealor 13-5 earlier in season
Trealor is a very talented freshman who is getting better every day. Has some of the same skills his older brother had and is very aggressive. This weekend should be another test for him.

Did anyone give the MTJ Heavyweight a challange. That is one big bear!
Not even close. This guy is a animal. The only person in the tourny that would have been close was Mr. Croy and he was at 215. O by the way where were you this weekend ?
Had to work! Then wife snagged me for Honey Do's
-
Congrats to both teams. Anytime you go North and come home with a any win it's great. I'm glad Coach B of the Commandos had a good Homecoming!
I remember traveling through IN and watching HS Wrestling and hearing it on the radio. It's treated a bit diff up that way.

.Congratulations to Patrick on a fine performance. I'd say quite a few heavyweights around the state are taking notice of this newcomer.
A great athlete can pick up the sport very quickly. I watched Nick Reveiz go from losing matches his Soph yr to finsihng 2nd in the region and then becoming a 2 X State Champ. Sounds like this young man is the has the same type of heart. I wish him the best.
Is he ready for the Big Bear out of Mt Juliet?

Great young man!
I will never forget sitting at the HS Nationals in Clevland hearing folks ask "Who is this Red Headed Kid"
He been fun to watch since he was on the Mats as a Mocster at UTC!
-
FB please link the story about the young man living in the press box.

Character or whatever you want to call it of the year goes to Sullivan South. I'm pretty sure most people heard the story about them this year and the loss of one of their players during their season opener. They could have laid down, we all know that, yet they made it to the 4th round of the playoffs. Hats off to that group of boys, community, and coaches who had to deal with all that was involved with that.
That is one of the top stories for sure. The story about the young man living in the South Pitt pressbox for a couple of weeks and the way Beech came out of nowhere to win the district and state championship are my others.
Team Story has to be BEECH!
-
When I was watching the game it showed on TV that the Lions Coach had a losing record. Is that correct? Has there been a push to have a new coach in the past?
-
Is there a site to look at the brackets?

Greatest Wrestling Families in TN
in Wrestling Mat
Posted
Well we had Greatest Wrestler etc on the board so why not Family?
They don't become great wrestlers without their families love and support.
Middle TN has to go to the Simpson Family!
I was just looking at some Army Wrestling Pictures and thought wow what a family. Providing great young men for the sport of wrestling and support of our country.
Go ARMY!
