Knowing how to beat Beech and actually doing it are 2 different things. If I'm not wrong I don't think Beech had a lost TO since losing to Gallatin in week 8. They really did a great job of playing as team. They never relied on just 1 or 2 players to get the job done. JOB WELL DONE BEECH. Congrats..Will have to teach you the secret state title team handshake and welcome you to the club. 4 teams from Sumner County with State titles..Beech, Portland, White House, and Gallatin's 3. Plus H-ville's 2 runner ups, Portland's 1, WH's 1 and Gallatin's 3. Sumner County may not have the flash of WilCo, and Rutherford but we still play good ball up here north of 40.
White House should have won it last year.

Beech finishes this game the same as the previous 2. Goes back to Columbia not putting them away in the 2nd quarter.

The Owls played an easy dist schedule. Not their fault but it cost them going into the playoffs. If it hadn't been FHS it would have been MHS.
So you need to get back into your little pond where you are a big fish I guess!
BTW-in 1995 I think Chatt Central was beating the Owls!

Your Doing a lot of splashing about Farragut however they have went as far as the Owls in the playoffs and won just as many State Championships. 0
I would think the
W-L record between FHS and the owls is close.
This isn't the first year Farragut has popped the Owls out of the run for state. May not be the last. YOU folks hoot louder than most about their program so be cool.

You have been one of the dumbest posters I have seen this year. Let the FHS folks talk about their program. You have called one right all season when it counted.
IMHO-This was the Admirals best shot this year. They have a good coaching staff but not great!
Lot's of College level coaching have said the same thing. Their coach is a good man but not a great Football Coach!
The Farragut Soccer program could not get to the next level until the brought in a new coach. IMHO- the same thing will be need for the football proram. However by the time that happens OR will be a powerhouse again and FHS will be 3rd best program behind Maryville and OR!

DB was the greatest football Atmosphere that I have seen in TN. We lived in KP for 2 years. My oldest son was a Freshman in 1999 when a great tribe team lost to Red Bank in the Semis on their way to the State Championship.
That team and fans made me a fan of the tribe!
Make a few adjustments and DB will be great again.
Maryville has the best coach in the state. If they loose him to a College Program Maryville will have an adjustment period. He has a great staff also. I sure DB matched up Athletic wise.
That 99 team made my sond decide to run Cross Country with his 125 frame.
He broke a Freshman Record there and finsihed 15th in the State with the Great DB coach there but I would have loved to see him play for the Tribe. He lettered in CC and wrestling so I guess we can be part of the Tribe Family.
Good Luck I still watch you guys and wear my tribe hat when I can.

I haven't seen the game yet, but even if I agreed with your assessment I can't imagine what in the world motivates an adult to get on a message board and make such direct comments about kids. It's even more unseemly when the team you supposedly support (those other kids you just called "overrated") was defeated by the kids you're taking shots at. Seriously, at some point in your past were you jilted by a gal from Lenoir City? Or, while in Loudon Co., maybe a rough night in the slammer?

Farragut won, fair and square ( it would have been different with Smith in ballgame)....
...BUT, FROM MY OBSERVATION... Admirals can't win it all.......why???
#15 qb is not much better than Owls' qback
if #15 is playing a good secondary (instead of Lenoir City), he struggles
#20 is a whinner and complainer and not a D1 player, he has had 1 good catch in three years playing the Owls (bad play on Owls' corner)
everytime #31 gets hit, he is out....even after long run, he's not gased, he limps
Farragut secondary is SLOW!!!!!! good qb beats them 9 out of 10 games
Admirals' line will get beat up if they have to play a Murfreesboro school (hint: Riverdale)
other than that...congrats Admirals....you beat a sinking Owls team...Owls peaked too early

Did you watch the Ads play Riverdale and Maryville. It was close games that the Ads could and should have won. I would say Farragut played most of the top programs and teams in the state.
Ooltewah was not one of them!

I don't recall saying they weren't great coaches.. or that they don't help the kids become men. Then again, this also isn't pee wee football. If you don't compete to win, then honestly why compete? It is that simple. If the coaches are more concerned with "teaching", rather than coaching a championship team, then honestly I don't want them coaching. They should be perfectly capable of doing both at the same time.. i.e. Coach Pharr with baseball and Culbreth with soccer. Footballl shouldn't be an exception. I suppose we see this completely different. I guess eventually we will all be demanding that everybody get a trophy at the end of the year as well? I mean, "we play to have fun! not to win!" "Winning isn't the point of playing".. Thats BS. The point is to win. If you can't win, then don't play/coach. These days people are too concerned with their children not winning something that there is almost no point in playing anymore. If you don't win then you are loser. It's that simple. I for one am tired of this whole "don't hurt the kids feelings" kind of crap. It's ridiculous. You play/coach to win. That's the point of competition.
Good Post. I agree. I have seen some great teachers of young men on the field. However all of them were fired when they could't bring home the gold.
Farraguts Soccer Program is a perfect example. The team was always one of the best in the state but could not win state. When they hired Coach Culbreth he took them to the next level, State and National Champions. I don't know which one is the better teacher of young men but I know which one put the State championships in the trophy case!

If you had this years record in the same district as Farragut and Maryville then folks might have thought the Owls were as good as your fans did.

Farragut played a real schedule this year. Played 2 former State Champs. Then DB, OR, Bearden and Riverdale.
Who did you play except Franklin?
YOu had an easy reg season sch and couldn't finish that.
Farragut was #1 about the same amount of time as the baby birds. Should be a great game. Just keep your boys out of North GA Go look at your Girl Softball State Champ Trophy because that's the only State Champ team the birds can build!
The screch Owls sound like Crying Owls. It's the same thing every year. As soon as your team loses a game or 2 then the attacks start on the players, Coach and parents.

I predicted this over a week ago. When the Owls played in Reg 2 they played a tough schedule and it helped get to the semi's. Now I think the OWL NATION had a false sense of how good they were.
While Farragut was playing the best teams in the State the owls kept puffing out their chest saying how great they were playing a weak dist.

Most people don't understand what kind of teams are playing each other friday.,.could easily be state championship game,if they were in seperate regions or pods.....or at least semi-final. 2 former #1s......all the recent history,awesome games,all thrillers except maybe one.This game and the 2 or so in middle tennessee...wow,it is what it is..........GO OWLS!!!!!!

Stop the complaining, and just play your games! It should not matter who you play, but how you play the next 5 weeks. I am excited to see that a wildcard could make a run. If seeding bothers you, then maybe we should make the TSSAA revert to the BCS system. Go out and win your week one game, and then work from there.
Gallatin vs. Northwest (can you believe the Gallatin power house is a wildcard?)
A power house does not get beat 31-0.

I could see the Owls facing OR and Farragut vs Mcminn then the teams facing each other.
Again who ever comes out of that top bracket will beone heck of a team.
