Hands down, Willie Kemp from Bolivar Central is the best sophomore basketball player...He plays with a level of maturity and control that is unparalleled. When he wants the game to be at a faster pace, he pushes it, and is always successful...When he wants to slow down the game then he does so. Also, just because he doesn't put up the points each night like some of these other guys do, doesn't mean he isn't as good...anyone who has seen him play knows that he makes everyone around him better...he may up 30 one night and have 20 assists the next night...HE, not Lake, is the reason Bolivar has been so successful the past two years.

No one from Humboldt should stand out this year as far as freshmen go...it is a predominantly older team with their last chance at doing anything...great group of kids that has took home 2 summer league state championships the last 2 years...always been a problem w/ consistency though...but it looks much better this year with a new assistant coach who doesn't take anything less than perfection.

We have 5 consistent pitchers in our staff, 4 of which are seniors...I would think that you can get by with 4, depending on your schedule...with one like ours though, where we play all 3 state champs and 2 runners up, we will need all the help we can get
