Were those Gregorian chants I heard coming from your office last night?

McMinnville radio reported something under 100 - like 96 or so on 12 carries. Of course some of his best running was after he caught passes and this would not be included in the above amount. Stats were very close I think with Warren Co slightly ahead in total yards and Warren Co having many more 1st downs. (White Co. covered more ground is fewer plays and had much better special teams stats.)

 

14 penalties on White co and 7 on Warren co. I thought it would have been a lot more. I think this must not include three or four offsetting penalties.

 

Somebody went back and got Kellraiser - didn't leave him after all. We want him to be at Cookeville next week with the rest of Warren Co..

We had Lewis with 95 rushing yards and 75 yards receiving. Not a bad night's work.

Congrats to the Warriors. I think everybody thought it would be closer. You guys have a lot of weapons and will have a fine season. Our Pioneers are improved over last year but obviously still have some work to do. Great crowd support from Warren County tonight. I hope it continues.

Yeah, I don't think the ton of fans decked out in red Friday night will be there to discuss the 1990 team. They'll be there to cheer on the 2005 Pioneers. They're the only thing that counts now. So let's all get with the program and follow in the huge caravan of vehicles that will head down hwy 70 to Sparta. Go Pioneers!!

No doubt it will be standing room only. Both teams have numerous weapons this year. This may be one of the best Pioneer-Warrior matchups ever. Sure is nice to be competitive again. Go Pioneers!

Warren Co 5 Lebanon 3 Final

Growing up in West Tennessee, I enjoyed listening to Jack Buck call the Cardinal games on KMOX. He was always my favorite among baseball announcers.

The game scheduled for today between WC and Coffee Co is being moved to 10am Fri if the field conditions allow. That was the only game set for today. The other games will be played as scheduled if there's no more rain.

Brandon Adcock is the guy you're thinking about. He's shown a lot of improvement recently and had his best game Tuesday night. Brooks Majors has also been reliable at the line these last two games.

#10 Majors had 18. #32 Harrell had 10. Both hit crucial free throws down the stretch.

Warren County is showing signs of life. This game could be interesting.

I only got to watch the teams work on 7 on 7, special teams and goal line. Had to leave when the real scrimmaging began. From what I saw, it looked like Grundy's best athlete is number 10. He was qb, punter, punt returner, and place kicker. Has good size and good moves. I thought both teams looked pretty even. Both have a lot of work to do before the season starts, but that's what scrimmages are for.

Final: Warren Co 6 Riverdale 0 Colby Killian pitched a 1-hitter, striking out 13.

I think the P-A announcer at Warren County does a fine job. And, contrary to what the poster from Manchester says, he does not talk during free throws.

The statman is right. Coach Thompson called off the dogs early and didn't run it up. You can't ask the reserves to lay down for three quarters. As a WC fan, I appreciate what Thompson tried to do. Good luck to LC the rest of the way.
