  1. Well said brother I am a Bolivar fan and if we dont 3-peat I am pulling for Liberty

im right there with you man, if we cant do it i wanna see Liberty take home the gold ball...or even Lexington since we are all in the same district now so lets just stop all this hatin. back to the game though, Bolivar started out slow and Willie alone brought us back at the end and we was just a couple of inches away from beating the 10th best team in the country. no excuses though, i was happy with the game we played. Wayne sprained is ankle bad in the first quarter and still played through it and put up 25 points and 8 boards while COMPLETELY shuting down the 7'3 dude thats ranked in the top 25 in the country. Willie scored 7 points in 31 seconds at the end of the game to give us a shot to win and we just fell one shot short. i think he finished with 20 points, 6 boards, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Jeremy Rhodes had about 10 but he fouled out in the 4th quarter and that hurt us some down the stretch. great game none the less. congrats to Lexington on their win too.

by the way, we are still the AA king of TN until proven otherwise so deal with it haters.

  2. well i'll say this much, unless Lexington scheduled alot of garbage non-district games their streak of 20 win seasons will most likely come to an end. they are a solid team though, they could pull an upset in region but like i said, it would be a HUGE upset if they were to knock off one of the 2 big dogs. im not gonna hate on them this year though since Mack will be running the point up here at Martin next year.

  3. Thats pretty funny because at the Real Deal on the Hill last year...a very prestigous AAU tournament against the top players in the Nation. Kemp wowed the crowd not with his scoring but with his true PG skills. Willie Kemp was the talk of the tournament and that is pretty impressive considering Greg Oden Greg Conley, Javaris Crittenton, andThaddeus Young and others were at the tourney. Oh Yeah....did I mention that Kemp didn't score one single point in the semi-finals against one of the top teams in America yet his play was the reason they won that game.

"Kemp may have been held scoreless and just judging by that alone, it would be easy to assume he had a bad day at the office. Not so much. The guy wills his team to win. There aren't a lot of guys you can mention that go scoreless in a big game but makes it happen enough to win.

When the clock is under two minutes, he's the guy you want to have the ball in his hands. He makes things happen and makes sure guys like Young get the right touches at the right times. Kemp has had himself one heck of a tournament. "

Thats what one recruiting analysis said of his tournament there....it also shows as Kemp ranking soared after the tourney as a PG...not a SG

my point exactly....someone saying he isnt a true pg is crazy. he scores when he needs too but he rather see his teammates put up 30 points and him not have a single point if it wins them the game. thats a rarity these day, not to many kids care more about winning than stats. i didnt even mention his clutch ability earlier...correct me if im wrong but didnt Willie hit a 3 at the buzzer to send the game into OT and then hit another 3 at the end of OT to win that tournament in the Bahamas? thats clutch son!

point is the only the position he can play...the only knock on him is his athleticism and if your not athletic your not playing the 2 in college. if he was more athletic he would be right there alongside Thad and Wright as one of the top 10 players in the country. i've seen alot of talent come through west tn in recent years and i can honeslty say he's top 5 without a doubt, possible #3 behind only Penny and Delk. its absurd that recruiting services rank Chism ahead of him cause without Kemp Chism would be lucky to get Bolivar out of region. yall will see soon when him and Coach Cal are playing DEEP in March a couple of years from now.

  4. really willie kemp is more of a 2guard than a point because i think he would rather shoot than pass not saying that he cant pass but he would rather shoot. :)

WRONG! my god your wrong! and you've never seen him play obviously. Willie is completely a pass first pg. he said himself a thousand times he rather get his teammates involved than pile up points like some of our past TN players. all the scouts were thrilled about a game he had at an AAU tourney when he lead his team to victory without scoring a single point, and guess what, he went on to win MVP of that tournament. i havent seen the stat line from the games in the Bahamas yet but prior to that he was averaging 9.5 assists...how many other guys playin real competition are doin that? not many. let me give you something to chew on for a while....prior to the bahamas...22 points, 9.5 assists, 7.5 boards....can you say McDonalds? not saying he will be but he honestly has a strong chance to fill one of the 4 pg spots at that game since he is without a doubt one of the best 6 in the country.

  5. Didn't know Bolivar was in Nashville!?!

and i didnt know this post asked who is the best pg in Nashville. let me check again though....nope it says "best point gaurd" and that would be Willie Kemp. without a doubt Miller and Culpepper are 2 and 3....Culpepper may even be #2 for now but at the next level you gotta take Miller since Culpepper is only like 5'9.

  6. might be your opinion on Ramsey but ask the players that you say he will NEVER be better than and see what they think, you must not have seen Ramsey plan when he is fully healthy and playing at the top of his game, he will never be dominated by any of the players you mentioned and he will hold his own against any of them

i didnt say he wasnt good, i didnt say they would dominate him, im just saying we have 2 guys in the state that will be in the NBA the year after next so theres no way he will be number 2 like someone else said he could end up being. im not hatin or anything, he could end up just as good, if not better, than Kemp, Chism, or Vanardo...but Young and Wright are a rare bread, it will be a long time before we see 2 players of their caliber come through again so i just think the "possibly #2" was a stretch.

why cant you tell us where he's goin Hooligans? a high major school?

  7. He didnt say right now..he said in terms of productivity.

I would probably put him around #4 in terms of productivity at the next level. Niles wont do more than him at the next level. Doubt Vanardo will either.

Then again...Chism, Niles, and Ramsey all have to be eligible first and thats still up in the air.

i just dont see it. you gotta remember these other guys i mentioned are playing for national powerhouses, putting up better numbers because you play at UTM or Murray State doesnt quite quaify you as a better player(by the way, im not saying thats where he's goin to school at im just making an example, i honeslty have no clue where he's goin to). i just know that if you stick him at UNC, Georgia Tech, Miss St., or Memphis i seriously doubt he will be more productive. dont get me wrong now, im not taking anything away from the kid, but saying he could be #2 is a little crazy when you consider the fact that we have 2 of the 5 best players in the country right here in TN. im not being a hater or anything i hope he does go on to be a stud at the next level, i love seeing instate players make a serious impact in college. i just dont think he's on the same level as Young, Wright, Kemp, Chism, Vanardo, Powell, and Niles just yet...just my opinoin though.

btw, i think Chism is pretty dang close to being eligible next year.

  8. Raleigh-Egypt lost alot of talent last year. They still have the best junior in the state but i dont see them beating Liberty. They have the talent to control this game, i'd say Liberty by 8. They are still young though so they could have trouble against a RE team with lots of a big game experience.

  9. Morris and Sanders will stay with the cards. They have got the money to pick up the other outfielder without losing anybody. Larry Walker will retire at seasons end, so that provides the Cards with an extra $12.5 million a year to spend on somebody like.....Johnny Damon?......Hideki Matsui?........just to name a couple.

But for now, the Cards are still playing, so they aren't even thinking about the off-season.

why would the Cardinals wanna sign another center fielder when they already have one of the best in the game?

theres not really alot of big name superstars out there this year. i figure Konerko and Matsui, the 2 best power hitters available, will stay where they're at. Johnny Damon, AJ Burnett, and Rafael Furcal will probably be some of the biggest names switching teams. i bet alot of teams will be after Billy Wagner too(Theo Epstein, you better be one of them)

  10. Brandon Evans of Liberty Tech will choose between these 4 schools in no particular order, Libscomb, Murray State, Tennessee Tech, and UT-Chattanooga on Monday and I will let everyone know what he decides.

any word on who the favorite is? my guess would be UTC since he played AAU ball for the Ballerz.

  11. Now lets consider....are these teams truly worthy of their ranking OR is it because or the stars on their team. Bolivar I believe so...Mitchell I'm not so sure. I realize both of these teams are really that good but Mitchell didn't even make it to state last year and they are in the top 25 NATIONALLY

come on now you know my boys at Bolivar are deserving, dont even be asking that! ;)

Mitchell is worthy of it too. they are the most talented team in the state hands down, even better than Bolivar, but they got a little too confident last year and overlooked a very good Haywood team in substate. ive also heard their coaching aint to hot but i dont really know anything about that. its good to see some TN teams getting respect on the national scene, especially my school.

  12. nawh they svcked today i'll admit that. i'll still take that hall of fame plaque if you wanna buy me one :)

their bullpen wasnt this bad in the regular season though, they werent good but they were just flatout awful in this series with the Astros. i thought they would step there game up a notch for the playoffs but instead they took a step back. see...this is what the Braves and Redsox get for bringing in ex-Cub pitchers, Clement and Fransworth brought the dang curse with them.

they might have blown the lead but they still gave their offense 9 or 10 innings to score just 1 run and they couldnt do it so its not entirely their fault. they had plenty of opportunities to make up for the Kyle Farsworth meltdown.

  13. what??? did you look at what you just said, it doesnt get much better after next week? thats crazy. look at the 3 games goin into their bye week...the Cardinals are horrible(1-4, only win against the Niners), the Raiders are just the Rams with a worse defense and the Titans could have won the Rams game(1-3 so far), dont let the Browns 2-2 record fool you cause they arent good, Romeo has done a good job so far but unless he can work miracles they wont win more than 2 or 3 more games cause theres not much talent there. thats hilarious, you think the Cardinals, Browns, and Raiders are as tough as the Colts, Steelers, and Bengals??? then in the 4 game after the bye week they have 1 sure loss to the Colts, a beatable Jags team, and then the 49ers and Texans again. the Titans could win 5 of their next 7 games without pulling off any big upsets. now i dont think they will but they should win 3 or 4 for sure. aint no doubt about it, the worst part of their schedule is behind them after next week.

i get the feeling those people in your signature are close relatives arent they?

  14. Like I said you have your opinion and I have the correct, I mean my opinion.

such a funny guy....when ever i get down and out i just get on the CoachT Major League Baseball thread and look for a justdontno post, i can always count him for some good ole sarcastic humor!

you know how i declared myself a member of the BFL for the rest of the season? well i changed my mind, Lets Go Angels!!! if the Yanks go down too it will make me feel alot more comfortable about the Redsox postseason choke job.

  15. I figured that, this was for your benefit, just yanking your chain back.

How about this, something we can agree on, whos' going to win AA Tennessee Mens High School state Basketball championship this year.

yea i think we can agree on that one. i know something else we can agree on too, unfortunately, the Redsox wont be winning the World Series again this year. B)

the Red Sox got put out and the Titans are 1-3......come on basketball season! i dont know if i should be in such a hurry for that either after all the people the Grizzlies got rid of in the offseason. this just aint my year, well, i take that back...Nebraska is still 4-0 but they will probably get blown out by Texas Tech today, they put up 70 on the Huskers last year.

  16. The Red Sox didnt even look like a team that wanted to be in the playoffs, the whole series they just went through the motions and lost! They showed no desire and no emotion the whole series and now they are headed home for winter!

exactly....thats what i was trying to say with the chemistry thing. there was just something missing in this years team. last year everytime you seen the dugout everybody would be messing around and laughing and stuff...this year it was like they hated each other and just didnt give a crap. i knew it wasnt a good thing when they let Pedro go back in the summer, not only is he one of the best pitchers in baseball but he was also one of the main guys that set the mood in the clubhouse, you never seen Pedro when he wasnt smiling or joking about something...well, except when he faced the Yankees ;) . oh well, atleast we didnt lose to the Yankees again, i can live with the Whitesox beating us but when its the Yankees i just wanna rip my eye balls out. now little Theo just needs to buy us a real pitcher this offseason.

justdontno, you need to check that topic again Mr. Sarcasm. i thought we were finally clear on what i was saying...i didnt say that they had 3 good closers, i said that their bullpen wouldnt prevent them from winning in the playoffs and that if they did blow some games for them i would admit that i was wrong, and so far they have been a nonfactor. yes they got stroked in the first game but it was already over, its hard to get 5 runs off of the Astros pitching and thats what Hudson gave up.

anyway, i guess im gonna join the BFL for the rest of the season since my Redsox got put out. my entire family likes the Braves anyway so i'll just play along for the next few weeks.

  17. lol i was just playing with ya justdontno...i know you wouldnt ever svck up to the BFL.

man i almost forgot about something, we gotta check up on the Braves bullpen since its postseason time...i know you remember all our heated arguments about that dont you? i said they were good enough that they wont prevent them from winning and so far so good. last night Reitsma and Farnsworth combined for 2 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, and 1 K. the first game they got hit pretty hard but it didnt matter cause Hudson lost that game for them. so far so good for my prediction, i will be sure to keep you updated on it.

on another note, im changing my mind about the Redsox. i think they have a chance now. i thought the chemistry would be a problem but they seem to be back to where they were last year, i thought for sure Graffanino would get booed out of the stadium but he actually got the loudest ovation when the lineups were announced, thats a good sign that the Redsox nation isnt giving up yet. we've still got our backs against the wall but i'll give them a small chance now, maybe 90-10 in favor of the Whitesox instead of 99-1.

  18. How about Woolfolk making like a Christmas Tree and getting lite up!

come one fellas, its not like they let the Cleveland Browns pass all over them or anything. they've been torched by the Colts and the Rams, the 2 most potent passing offenses in the NFL....heck Bulger passed for almost 450 yards last week so it could have been worse. im gonna go out a limb here and say David Carr doesnt pass for 300 and 4 td's .
