  1. One of my other favorite quotes from Baxter is something he said concerning his team and the upcoming game with Pickett: "I'm like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. If I'm not ready, the sled isn't going to go."
  2. Yeah man, I'd agree about JB from Temple. You can’t hesitate with Baxter, or you’ll end up on some poster in a gift shop someplace. The dude is just unbelievable!! I heard somone say about him: "I think he’s God disguised as Baxter."
  3. Muffin has to be from upper Tennessee. Temple by 7
  4. Isn't Clarkrange in Alabama? I didn't even know they had a school?
  5. I wouldn't say that "no one" on Temple could play at UTC. I believe Caleb could and there is the potential that others could (sophs).
  6. I wouldn't brag too big man. Hixson is not all that anyway.
  7. Temple should top the list in this one
  8. Temple will "run away" with this one by at least 15 or more. Temple 76 East Ridge 55
  9. Temple has some good ones in Josh Smith, Seth Skogen, and Dee Newsome. We'll probably hear a lot of noise about these guys for the next couple of years.
  10. Temple Grace McCallie Ooltewah Brainerd
  11. This award will either go to Caleb Skogen from Temple or Travis Sikes from CPA.
  12. I would agree with leeroy -- Temple does get a bad rap from others in the area. They have a great program and should be given more respect for what they do. Good luck Crusaders in getting your football program established and don't let others hold you back from being a dominant force in the years to come. You guys are great and you deserve to be recognized for your accomplishments. Temple Crusaders 38 Grace Eagles 7
  13. Kevin Smithson is one of the best QB's I've seen this year in the Chattanooga area. He has good size and can throw the pigskin like no one else around. He could play with anyone and has the potential to be a D1 college player. So, look out for this kid in the future -- he is a good one.
  14. Some of you guys are right about Temple's freshman. They are some good ballers. The Skogen kid is going to be a great player in the years to come and Newson is probably going to also become a player that will make a name for himself. I also like the Smith kid. He's very strong and will no doubt become a player that will surprise everyone in the years to come. I like his intensity on the defensive side of the ball. If he keeps working at his shot -- I'd say with more play time and good coaching he could become one of Temple's best players in the next couple of years. They also have a couple of other freshman that could have a bright future if they'll work hard. So, it appears that Temple has a bright future for the next few years. Good luck to you guys.
  15. I'd agree that Temple has some of the worst fans, although they seem to have a pretty good following -- mostly from the parents, families, and friends of the players. But I thought it was very disappointing to see the lack of support from the school administration (which appears to be usual) and the fans at State. Why in the world would you not want to support your team when they are at the 'Boro? I realize they were on spring break (another mistake by the administration in scheduling), but come on . . . sometimes you have to sacrifice a little to show your support for the ball team.
  16. I'd say that the teams to watch out for in 2004-2005 are Temple, CPA, Grace, and Halls. These teams are going to have another good year. I'm going to take Temple to win it all next year. They have everyone returning and I think they'll be the team to beat in the end.
  17. Temple will be ready to play at the state tourney and will definitely be in the final game. It's about time they get respect from the negative people on Coach T. Yo Temple!! You guys take it to them and show everyone the class act you are in the game of b-ball. Don't let these people on here get you down. Stay focused and play hard at the 'Boro!! See ya there!!
