  1. Farragut Science Hill McMinn Co. Cleveland Hendersonville Smyrna Houston Ridgeway Farragut vs. Hendersonville FINAL
  2. Brentwood is a great team. I was at the Brentwood/Hendersonville game actually. But like last year, BHS will choke in the districts or regions and not go to Memphis. I have seen HHS and BHS play more than Farragut, but the Admirals have caught my eye. Again, BHS is great and probably is the best team in the state, and I would love to see BHS and HHS both play Farragut. Maybe that will happen in Memphis. However, my gut feeling tells me that BHS will stumble. Still, great team!
  3. I will make the trip to be in town for this match. CAK has EVERYTHING to win, with Farragut everything to lose. If Farragut loses this one, their run at the state title might come to a crashing halt. Farragut and Hendersonville are still my picks to play in the state final, but Farragut's stock is dropping in my book because of some recent games. I hear one of their best players is out? Is that true, or just a rumor? Or was he just out for Science Hill? Wish I could have seen that one to make a better prediction, but according to shots on goal and eye-witness accounts, Farragut still dominated. Anyway, this one is hard to predict. If the game were at CAK, I would pick the home team. But at Farragut, I think their coach will have them ready to play on Senior night. Admirals will win a close, hard-fought game, but the score 4-1. (half time will be tied, or 2-1). Id love to hear more comments on this game. Anyone strongly favor CAK???
  4. If you want to know stats in Knoxville, go to www.prepxtra.com and you find everything you want to know. In the Knoxville area, it looks like a great race for the top for individual scoring. Doyle and Britcher of Farragut are right behind McMillin of Kingston. However, Farragut plays more difficult competition and these two have more assists than McMillin.
  5. Well I haven't neccessarily "picked" Farragut as my team to watch this year but I do seem to follow them every now and then. Since I travel with my job, I was in the area tonight and went over to see the game between Farragut and Maryville. Now I am a former player of TN soccer, and whenever we came over here from Mid-state, we always hated playing at Maryville. They always have tough fans and its not the best field condition. Anyway, I do want to state that Farragut absolutely DOMINATED PLAY all over the field. #22 for FHS is outstanding. I believe that is Britcher and he was unstoppable but just couldn't seem to score more than 2 GOALS!! Farragut's defense played great as well only allowing 6 shots by my account. Oh yeah, also according my count, Farragut connected on 25 or shots of their own. Maryville, you guys definitely came to play, but please don't make the mistake of claiming an even-played match. Farragut could have easily won 10-1, but because they missed some shots on goal, it was only 3. The 2nd half, although even in score, Farragut still dominated. My goodness, AFTER Farragut made a goalie change (was their starter hurt or something), Maryville only had TWO CHANCES to score. According to anyone who knows this great game, Maryville was dominated. Better luck next time Rebels, but you were trounced tonight. It was just obvious you caught Farragut on an off night. Now in my opinion, I believe Hendersonville is the team to beat, even with a couple losses. Im not sure if anyone over here in East TN can stay on the field an entire 80 mins. with Hendersonville.
  6. Well now that we are 1/2 through the season, I was hoping to get some conversation on the teams in TN. Has anyone seen enough Knoxville-area games to predict where Farragut, Bearden, Oak Ridge, Science Hill, and others will finish? Oh yeah, and McMinn Co. as well. (they are doing great; don't believe it? just ask them!!) I have seen a handfull of games, but would like some debates on other's opinions. And for those in Nashville and Memphis, please chime in and give some predictions and insight on teams across the state. Who are the 8 teams in AAA everyone sees going to state this year?? I see these going on: 1 Science Hill 2 Farragut 3 Hendersonville 4 Brentwood 5 Houston 6 McMinn 7 Cordova 8 ???
  7. Champ, you should identify yourself. You obviously cannot recognize a great soccer game, and last night was a great game. However, it should not have been. It was only a great game because Farragut and Bearden were playing. Farragut dominated the match, except when it was close to even in the first 15 minutes or so. After that, Bearden was just defending Farragut's "Blitz-Crieg" Bearden has a great stopper and solid midfield and defense. The forwards can't do anything, and their outside backs were pretty weak. I saw loads of skill on Farragut's side, but poor execution. Fortunately for Bearden, Farragut wasn't clicking on all cilinders, because had they been we would be looking at a 5+ goal victory. All in all, another great west-Knoxville rivalry matcup!
  8. Parady??? Where is there any parody? Whoever is saying that is either an IDIOT who doesn't know soccer, or he is from McMinn Co. Or wait just a minute... he must be from both. Only an IDIOT FROM McMinn Co would say such outlandish things. Look, I am not a fan of any school, but I am a fan of great soccer. I have read and heard all about the CBHS/Farragut game and I believe it was close. But after seeing Farragut play and CBHS play Bearden, there is no question Farragut is the better team. As for McMinn, congratulations on a great year so far. You beat a Bearden team that is reeling, a Catholic team that is overrated (which Farragut easily took care of), and then you struggled and were dominated against Farragut after scoring a quick goal. What did you REALLY do after the goal? LOOK AT THE STATS. Anyway, from my accounts (and talking to a friend who coaches at Dalton), McMinn is playing off emotion and adrenaline right now. You caught Farragut at a bad time coming off a incredible DOUBLE OT victory over a dominant Georgia team. McMinn just got finished beating an Alabama team that might win one or two games if playing in Tennessee. The point is McMinn, this might be your year to do BETTER than past seasons, but its a FAR CRY to say that it is YOUR YEAR state wide. The deal is, stop talking so big because you really haven't done anything yet. Go to the state tournament this year without getting blown away and THEN maybe you can talk. But don't come up 1 goal short against the defending champs being outshot so badly, AND after what they went through the night before, then declaring this is YOUR YEAR. NEWS FLASH: NOBODY CARES YET. And actually, most people are probably laughing. You only make yourself look bad when you get on here talking such game when you haven't done it on the field yet. Farragut, and other have earned the right to talk. They can back it up. Cn you? NO!!! You know what YOUR YEAR is right now?? This is "YOUR YEAR" to shut up, play soccer, and see what happens when its all over. Next year, after you accomplish "something" this season, we will all let you talk. Until then, we are all tired of hearing from McMinn Co. -GOOD DAY and by the way... is there any chance you all are kidding??? Is anyone ACTUALLY scared of McMinn Co???

  10. Does anyone have a good idea on how big a game this one will be this year? I was there year and I think around 4000 people were there but not sure how much hype it will get with both teams seemingly down this season. I heard Farragut dominated much of the Christian Brothers game but came away short. And Bearden appears very weak after all their recent success? So on paper, looks like Farragut should win this game, but how about some feedback from both schools or anyone else that has seen both teams.
  11. from what I hear and have seen, Farragut will again be the team to beat in AAA along with Oak Ridge. CBHS, also should be the team to beat in their division, thus making this a great match. I believe both coaches will be challenged to prepare their teams and this is one game where coaching might be the difference. Which coach is better? Anyone know? And can anyone testify to CBHS and how they are playing this year so far. I have seen Farragut in preseason and against SouthDoyle and they have a great team but seem sluggish at times. Farragut did dominate play, but Im not sure how much competition SouthDoyle really was for anyone. Anyone agree, or disagree??
