  1. Caleb, I hope you read this or your dad reads this and passes it along to you. I know losing state and not winning Mr. Basketball may have you down. But I would just like to say that It's been a pleasure watching you play the last couple of years. I wasn't even a Temple fan until I saw you play. First of all you're just a good player and can make the whole team better. What really stuck with me is how much fun you seem to be having out there. It looks like you just play with so much love for the game. Jacob was a good player but I enjoyed watching you play so much more. With you playing I never knew what was coming next; awesome dribble moves, blowing by defenders, crazy passes and then those dunks. I hate to see you leave Temple. Good luck at Mercer.
  2. I had the same thought myself actually. I don't even read the AA and AAA threads.
  3. haha I like the rose and the music, that's a nice touch. It's not as cool as my website though.
  4. I wondered what people thought of Caleb's play in the boro. Just from the audio the announcers were really impressed and it seemed like he was dominating.
  5. oh, you were there? I wish I would have gone now. I knew I was taking a risk holding out going friday or saturday. ah well.
  6. There was a "spread" at the end of the game because Temple had to foul to get the ball back to try and tie it up. But Middleton knocked down their free throws and stretched the lead. It was a really good game and really close. Temple did pretty well considering the size advantage that Middleton had. And I don't think Temple fans doubted Middleton, we all heard it might be the best game in the state tournament. We didn't doubt Middleton, we just had faith in Temple. Congrats Middleton you deserved it.
  7. It surprised me as well. They were either tied, behind by two or had a two point lead (can't remember) and then Dee tried to shoot from the free throw line and it got blocked and turned into a fast break score. That seemed like the turning point from what I could hear. There was about 2 mins or so to go at this time. And I think Middleton may have had a 2 point lead before this play and that made it a 4 point lead and then when they got the ball back they started running some clock off and Temple had to foul. I'm not sure why the ball wasn't in Caleb's hands on that play, maybe he was doubled.
  8. I guess so, but why bring up Bolivar?
  9. Yeah tell me about it, and they still kept the game within 2 back and forth the whole game until the end when they had to foul. Those 3 steals right in a row for layups early in the game were the killer. Temple had to fight back to get the score close by halftime. You can't have that many turnovers and expect to win.
  10. eh...I don't know about that, but I was looking forward to a Temple- Pickett rematch. oh well, hopefully you guys will get in the championship game.
  11. Most Temple fans and even Coach Wadley knew this would be a close game. Temple and Middleton's coach were quoted in the paper as saying that this might be the best game in the State tournament and probably the championship game if the brackets were different. Congrats Middleton. Congrats on a great season Temple, too bad you couldn't pull this one out. I guess you Pickett fans are loving it that we're not moving on(since Temple beat you earlier in the year). I was hoping we would see a Temple/Pickett rematch in the final game. Maybe Pickett will get to meet Middleton in the final, that would be a good game.
  12. The steals were definately the factor in my opinion. The 3 in a row for layups early on(I think I heard that right) were hard to recover from. This is hard to figure out from listening to the audio, but to me it sounded like Mouw blew two layups. Were these wide open or tough shots?
  13. Well you were acting like there was no way Temple could hang with a team that Middleton got beat by 10 and 16. When Temple stayed with Middleton the whole game. That doesn't make much sense. But anyway Middleton played well and deserved the win. It was just that one girl from Lake Co(which Middelton beat and she can't get over it) that was saying it was going to be a blowout. And maybe a few other random people. But no one from Temple said it would. We all said it would be close.
  14. no I'm talking about you acting like it was a domination when it was back and forth between 2 points for most of the game.
  15. That's what it sounded like to me. Did I hear right that Hunt stole the ball 3 times in a row early in the game that led to Middleton layups? he was all over the ball.
  16. Did anyone watch the game or listen to it? It was almost 2 points back and forth the whole game. It was a great game.
  17. Are you kidding me? This was a great game that went back and forth between 2 points almost the whole game. Temple had to foul late and put Middleton on the line to get the ball back to shoot 3's and Middleton knocked them down which stretched the lead. All the credit goes to Middleton though, good win. It sounded like Hunt really went after the ball the whole game. How many steals did he have?
  18. It's over, Middleton wins. Congrats in the next round. I can't help but wonder if things would have been a little different if Temple hadn't gotten it stolen 3 times in a row for a layup early on in the game. They had to fight back to get it to even and played 2 points back and forth right until the end of the game. Then they had to foul and put Middleton on the line. It sounded like a great game though, wish I could have been there.
  19. 56-53 Middleton at the end of the 3rd Turnovers are killing Temple.
  20. I heard some CSAS parent call in to Sport Talk and complain about the coach's son being the point guard when there are 2 or 3 better point guards on the bench. I wasn't sure what to believe though considering the source.
