  1. Here at Smyrna's field. Nice facilities....nice Smyrna fans.....14-7 BA. The DL for BA is killing Sonny Gray. He has gotten up slow a lot w/plenty of time to play. Smyrna has some good athletes. By the way it looks...Sonny Gray will be lucky to get out of the game win or lose without injury.

I guess you are happy now the kid got hurt. BA went there to do just that.

  2. I'm all for it also...I think it's a fair solution to all involved. PROVIDED that the public schools actually go through with scheduling the local privates. The usual "avoiders" in middle TN--Brentwood HS, Riverdale, etc.--should be forced to play some of their peer private schools (D2-aaa). In that way, we in DII can play a local regular season schedule and then travel for the post-season. And not have far-flung games all over the southeast just to fill out a regular season schedule.

The laughable thing about Riverdale is that, according to RRR's website, they have like a 12-4 record against the same privates they now refuse to play.

you can't force people to do anything.

  3. I think your suggestions are legitimate and within the rhelm of possibility. Personally, I would love to see all three things happen. Just think, starting with the 07-08 scheduling which is currently up for changes anyway, we could have everybody back together again...one big happy family...ok maybe not that last part.

i still don't understand why you dont want to go to school with people that goes

to public schools, but you want to play sports on friday. makes no sense to me.

this is going to get ugly.

  4. Don't bet the Carthage farm on it!!!!!!! I see no way that the TSSAA can pay the legal fees for both the TSSAA and Brentwood Academy in a timely manner, do you? Before anyone starts the talk of folding the TSSAA or filing chapter 13 or 11 they need to understand that the TSSAA is a state actor and the state would more than likely be responsible for the legal fees along with the schools that were members when the Supreme Court handed down their opinion.

If you feel for one minute that BA does not want the TSSAA (mostly Carter and the Board of Control) to feel some pain you are wrong. They will use this opportunity to try and show the world that they were not treated fairly and have had their good name and reputation tarnished by Mr. Carter and the board. Don't be shocked if some people loose their job over this case.

brentwood academy wants the tssaa to fold.

  5. ABSOLUTELY!! Man this is great! Way to go Riverdale! and McCallie! Glad to see that the new Riverdale coach is willing to put his team out there and schedule this type of game. Maybe this will change some attitudes around the state and we can see more of this for everyone in DII.

don't count on that. one game means nothing.
