  1. Any of the leagues, Holston, Maryville? I have not seen any scores or results so far this fall for anyone. I was just curious.
  2. Does anyone have any scores from the first week of fall high school ball?
  3. Eagles won against a tough Knoxville Thunder team. Both teams have alot of talent. It was fun to watch! Go Thunder !!!!
  4. Top players from the Knoxville Area are playing for the Knoxville Thunder 18U A They are starting off their season in Chattanooga then Birmingham. The closest they are playing to home is Chattanooga! Gotta go where the competition is
  5. Good Job! Is the schedule posted anywhere for 3-AAA Districts? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Just want to keep up with the area teams.
  6. Does anyone have the schedule for the District 3A tournament being held at Powell high school?
  7. How are the teams doing as the season is coming to an end? I saw where Farragut beat Heritage. That must have been a really good game. Who will be the teams to beat in that district? Central is still unbeaten in district play and Powell is close behind. Who will go on?
  8. If there is bad weather again this year, will they play the tournament on Sunday? Just wondering. It is such a good tournament I hate to see it get rained out again like last year.
  9. Great post DoubleBdouble0! I know everyone is tired of talking about Halls, but it needed to be done. I see where Heritage and Maryville had a good game yesterday. Should be a good district to watch.
  10. There are things that alot of people on this thread don't know about. You hit the nail on the head with the hear-say comment. If you aren't involved and don't know the whole story you are just stirring the pot and causing drama! None of this is about playing time or the girls on the team now. It is about respect, honesty and intregity. Rules have been broken and if the kids were the ones breaking the rules then they would be punished. The problem is that some coaches are allowed to bend rules in order for them to suit their own needs with no consequences. Unfortunately it seems the girls have been pitted against each other for no reason other than to force them to take sides either with the coach ( who determines their fate on the high school team) or their parents( who are teaching them to stand up for what is right even when it gets tough!) The comment about the JV team did come from the coach's mouth. Perfect example of disrespect for the current players. Why doesn'st someone ask the peolple involved to meet and discuss it like adults? instead of bashing everyone on an internet board?
  11. I don't think people were forced to move, they chose to move so their kids could play, there is a difference. I am sure the girls who are not playing had fun too when they were on the team, they are just standing up for what is right. I think its speaks volumnes about the kids and what the are willing to not put up with. This problem has just now been brought to the attention of many people who knew about it a long time ago but were afraid to speak out. Afraid because the school and the administration turns a blind eye and just wants it to go away in its own time. I wish I had the guts to do what they are doing when my daughter played for Halls but I too was threatened and when I tried to speak out, my daughter was benched. If you feel this is the right way to handle all situations then go right ahead and let your daughter play and continue to support that program. I think alot of the parents of the players on the team now are just cowards and if that means shutting up because your child is getting to play I hope you can live with whatever comes. Just know it will not be so good down the road. Coach's should be role models for our kids and build them up not try to break them because it gives the coach power over the kids and their parents. I have learned that it takes all kinds and I know my daughter has learned some valuable life lessons that have made her stronger.
