  1. This is all absolutely hilarious!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> TheLastWord talks about it being only a virus. Have you ever heard of the AIDS virus!! Thats more of an appropriate diagnosis for Unaka basketball. There will be no recovery. Snavely reminds me of old Ric Flair. People have forgotten what he did for the program years ago and why the gym was named after him. They now only see him for a piece of trash who's mangled this program into unrecognizable. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Now, I wonder if people understand why we the superior communities of Carter Co. want to see the Creek shut completely down. Do they wonder why the budget committee won't approve a bill for rennovations to the school? They know that people like the last word who tarnishes the kids in his own community will eventually lead these kids to being traumatized because know one on the creek is happy with anything. It doesn't matter who the kids are or who the coaches are. There will always be cut throating and when they get home its Pabst Blue Ribbon time. All these kids need to turn their jerseys in and come join the Blue and Proud. We will welcome every kid with open arms. I would love to see Unaka shut down and all the parents who spit in coaches faces banned from games for life. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm pretty happy living in the Creek. One person can't be the voice for an entire community. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Don't run off, Calvin Cline. Just because I got your goat doesn't mean you have to run and hide.

    Loser=Derek Cline

Go buy some more striped and pink shirts, Calvin Cline!

Ok I know I said I wouldn't come on here anymore but just one last one...

You call me a loser but you spell "since" like "sinse".. HAHAHAH I love it bro. Have a good day. But you can go edit it now.

  3. Well, I'm glad you got all kinds of cars. That makes no big deal to me. Paying for more cars than my father could buy me.. big deal. I'd put my own father up against you in building a car. That takes a little more skill than taking loans out from a bank to pay for whatever it is you drive. Next, I have an all access pass to the restroom anytime I want to go so you need not worry about that. And lastly, I don't care where you come from, Unaka has dominated Cloudland in all aspects until the last year or so. So my question to you is... Why do you take high school basketball so seriously? It's not like you play or have any ties with them at all. Did you even play basketball when you were in your prime (80's)? The only reason I even get on here right now is to see what fools like you write. I think I heard it best when it was said... "CoachT is nothing but a high-tech bathroom wall. Everybody gets on here to write the crap they want to say without it being said in person." I'm retiring this name so here's my goodbyes. Say what you want now because I just realized I'm doing the so-called MATURE thing and not even logging on anymore since you want to meet up with anybody that crosses you to fight them. I think cucry said it best. "Grow up and then maybe we'll talk."

    Over and out, Mr. Highlander.

  4. I wouldn't give you the time of day to make me winded. Why don't you displace your Roid Rage on somebody who actually gives 2 craps about anything you got to say. I'm out of high school... maybe you should consider telling yourself that too. By the way, I'm at about every Unaka game!!!

  5. I'm not on here crying about anything buddy. I give it to you. You all beat Unaka. Wow, are you wanting some kind of special award or congratulations? I suppose you have taken all your great smack talking from football to basketball because you all have had a decent year and football seems hopeless now. Please tell me what all this bullcrap has to do with Unaka tradition because all your posts say the same thing, somewhat like a broken record! Tradition takes longer than a year to build. When you guys win a few conference championships then you might consider speaking of tradition.

Question. Do you like apples? Try winning more than 5 straight conference titles in a row, how you like them apples?

  6. Well if you can't tell by my username, this is Derek Cline. I played for Unaka from 2001-2005. I started playing true varsity minutes my sophomore year at point guard under Donald Ensor. I hardly and rarely post on CoachT for a number of reasons... being I'm well out of high school, this seems to be nothing more than a place to poke-fun of kids, and I'm pretty heavy into school so that takes a lot of time. People question the tradition of Unaka on here more than ever now. I'm here to set that straight. Not with hurtful and stupid comments but with things that most people don't see when they're in the stands watching.

Unaka Basketball is all about pride, first and foremost. I've never been more proud to be able to walk onto a basketball court in a Unaka uniform. It didn't matter the team. It didn't matter the situation. I was always just happy to play for a program with such high prestige and great background. I played for Donald Ensor who taught me more about the game of basketball than I could have ever learned anywhere else. Yeah, I went to the summer camps and all that jazz but nothing taught me better than old fashioned, get-after-it practices. We never had the best equipment or anything but we got down to buisness with old school basic fundamentals. Sometimes before games, we would go into the gym and run through situations without a basketball. Not to get off the point, Coach Ensor, Coach Thomas, and Coach J taught me the game of basketball in such a perspective that I am currently in school to be a teacher and hopeful coach someday.

Tradition... what is tradition? I could hear a million definitions of what it is but what does it mean to you? Playing in front of sell-out crowds that were so loud to the point you couldn't hear yourself think. Being able to walk off the court knowing that I played my butt off gave me a sense of worth-while effort. Winning the state championship my junior year was nice. I mean it was actually great but by no means is that the reason that I loved Unaka tradition. I loved the fact that fans were dedicated and competition always top notch. Some say we are in the easiet conference in Tennessee but I beg that. Teams always brought everything to the table when we played them. You know why? I'll tell you why. Unaka had a reputation that teams wanted to put to shame. That's one of the biggest reasons I don't get on here anymore... I read a post that had some people from Cloudland running all over Unaka this year. Oh well, we aren't having a record-breaking year but that's neither here nor there. Our reputation was being the best and all the teams always wanted a piece to put us down. That's what tradition is to me. Being the most loved and hated program.

I hated to write a short novel but it needs to be said. Unaka Basketball will always be in my heart. I bleed maroon. Always will. But the fact that people question one of the most respected programs makes me sick. I played, I know. Ask anybody else that played for Unaka. They wouldn't want it any other way and some people wish they could play for a program this intrigued. If anybody says anything else, they're lying to you.

Thanks for your attention. I hope I've gave you a better understanding of what it means to be a Unaka Ranger.

  7. Different year, same talk. Everybody thought with Chambers, Jones and Collins gone they wouldn't have a shot last year but look what happened. Same thing could happen this year, who knows. With Hampton in the confernence now it should make for exciting 1A play. Goodluck as usual to Unaka  .

  8. Haha, I knew it was comin'. And now that I'm going to be gone from Unaka I can say this. I love it when people get on here and show just exactly how much class they have. Nobody has once doubted Hampton in 1A. I believe I read top to bottom and nobody has said that. But, low and behold here comes somebody that puts down a program that achieved just as much as when Hampton was in the conference. I mean, 8 straight conference titles.. you haven't been in 2A that long. But again, don't get me wrong, this ain't for the Hampton players because I go to church with Lance Harsh and have a pretty good friendship with Alex Ingram and Lucas Honeycutt. This comment is for the class-less people who feel they have to get their 2 cents in. As a player, its frustrating to hear people 'dog' your high school so I'm speaking for everybody at Unaka when I tell you this.

  9. First of all, good game on both ends. And now, Unaka fans need not get on here and run their mouths. We beat them at home but they killed us at home, so there is no need at all for this crap. We are in totally different conferences, districts, regionals, classifactions... and so on. Rangerbook, you know who I am so please take this seriously when I say stay off this topic.

    Goodluck to both teams.

  10. Yeah, I hear what everybodys saying but, blaming the refs is a poor excuse for losing a game. I was there, obviously. Cosby came out ready to beat us, no ifs or ands about it. They played a solid game all around. I know Big Timmy from this and last summer and he has done nothing but work hard, and nice to see its paying off and him not being cocky about it either. The only possible way we will ever get to repay them is substate. To that, I say goodluck to you guys. Hopefully, we will see you again sometime.
