  1. There's gotta be more guys than this. Regan? Gillespie? Cupo? Baucom? Where is everyone going?
  2. My only grievance is how year after year the big 3 shaft out the other teams. There were, in my UNBIASED opinon, better middes than the MBA 1st teamers. I think USN, CBHS, and Farragut all have legit arguments that they should get better recognition.
  3. Farragut/CBHS they would split 5 out of 10. USN is of course after them but not by much
  4. I'm gonna have to agree with the penatrator. Imright really doesn't do much whining. Most of his posts are legit and have good use. He is a little bias but hey we all are. And this argument, the Webb guys started this thing about Abernathy and then Imright voiced an opinion and you attacked him. And you're calling him a whiner and telling him to drop it?
  5. From the USN/Farragut game, Farragut's long pole middie was the best I've see all year on groundballs and one on one defense. If he isn't a first-teamer then he is definitely on second. Brittingham could get second team from USN. Farragut has #3 on attack who could get second team if he is as good as he was against USN. FHS also has a couple talented middies and USN had one but I can't remember any numbers.
  6. This is kind of hard to pick since there is so many to pick from. Who are your picks for all-state? There is usually 3 attack, 4 midfield, and 3-4 defensemen plus the goalie on first team. All I can say right now is Burns, Gillespie, and Gibson would be my first teamers on attack. Brakebill would be on midfield and I don't know of anyone else. Defense is the same story and goalie is between Regan and Baucom.
  7. I would say Farragut was outcoached, easily. From the sideline, there was little doubt Farragut's talent level was better even when they were losing. USN capitalized on their mistakes and Farragut little depth hurt them in the end.
  8. I saw the first one and I think McCallie will win again, but not by as much. Their middies bring out all the weaknesses of MBA.
  9. Bored on a Saturday afternoon I went out to see this game. It started out with #3 on Farragut dominating USN's D scoring 3 straight goals. Farragut seemed better at every position except attack but earlier posts say that Farragut was missing one of their top scorers at attack so I'll leave that in the air. USN only had #24 and #14 on offense and they ran everything off these guys. Farragut was simply shutting them down in the first half and their goalie was amazing. I almost left at half because Farragut was up 6-1 but I decided to stay for the third. It started out with USN scoring in the first minute due to a coach conduct penalty which put them two men down. This seemed to change the momentum completely. USN started to score off mediocre shot looks and Farragut's goalie looked like a whole different one. Farragut was also having trouble clearing the ball in the second half after no trouble in the first. USN possessed the ball prob 70% of the time in the second and every time Farragut touched it they would turn it over. It was amazing how this game turned around with USN scoring three goals in the final three minutes to when by one. Farragut simply choked on this one and seemed to be out of shape. In my opinion, (so USN don't get upset), Farragut was a clearly better team who simply threw this game away. In the playoffs, I see Farragut being a very dangerous team for whoever draws them in the first round.
