Teams need to understand that the object of the game is to score. If we play with 8 men and are subs are in, and we are still scoring, there isnt much left for us to do. SOme would argue that its just as embarrasssing to play keep away from the team as it might even be more degrading. We can't help the fact that they are in our district and we have to play them, but all district scores are important because there is always the chance that it could come down to goal differential for tournament seeding. Dont fault us for winning 16-0. Be glad that we played with 8 guys and didnt try to break the 26-0 whipping that Science hill gave boone earlier this year because i guarantee we could have beaten that score.

it was actually 16-0 and to be fair, we played with 8 guys foir the entire second half. Also it was senior night, and their coach was yelling at us. You should wait before you ehar the entire story before passing judgement.

also, brentwood's tie with franklin was shady, because franklin got a PK with like 2 mins left on what clearly wasnt a foul.

Actually I talked to one of the kids before u played them, and it was because they were really mad at u guys beating them alst year. They viewed as a huge game, and really wanted to come out and make a statement. If u held them scoreless for 76 minutes, they were probably starting to think last year was going to repeat itself and got mad. THey were just really pumped for the game, and i doubt BGA is used to being held scoreless for that long.

Ha. Doesn't have the goalkeeping. I've slotted so many by Will Walton in my lifetime that it's ridiculous. The kid can't save a thing. If he's anyting like he used to be, BGA's defense must be the best in the state, cuz the only way he's not getting scored on, is if he isn't getting shot on.

yea that was me, but mullins was like a wall. I thought for sure i had a goal, but that was a great game. I think #12 is ogilvie, hes really good.

Im going with xander too, but he was a definite non-factor in the brentwood game. He was totally marked out and the one opportunity he got he whiffed in front of a wide open net. I still agree with you, but this topic is definitely open for debate.

Back to the real thread, someone said we should drop just because we tied hendersonville. I dont think thats how it should be. We played the #4 team to a draw and now have a record of 9-0-1. If we get dropped because we have an unbeaten record and gave up our first draw, then this system should draw comparisons to the BCS. Its totally messed up if that happens, personally I dont think it will though. I guess well all just have to wait and see.

yes brentwood is the only team in the state without a loss. but 5/5 we play BGA and that will be an extremely difficult game. They could easily end are unbeaten streak.

no nothing against cal. Hes good, i just dont think best defender good. hes not the only name i think has been thrown around that isnt right to be honest. I just think that most people havent seen the best defenders and are just picking people that they have heard of.

Actually the way things are setting up they wont have to play Bwood. Becuz both will be first in their regions so they wont have to play in sectionals

In case people have actually watched the games this year, Cal hasnt exactly had the best of years. If I hadnt seen Cal play in travel before, I wouldnt give him a second thought. Iknow most of this is done on the basis of travel, but by far the best defender ive seen this year is Ryan Barnes of BGA. People are throwing around some of these names and I have to wonder if they have actually seen the people they pick play lately.

I dont think we should drop just because of a tie with hendersonville. Its not the end of the world, and its not like we lost to a bad team. Hendersonville is good, and he held them to a shutout (although, they did the same to us). I think for the most part the rankings will stay the same, and that neither Brentwood, nor Hendersonville, should be penalized for a playing tough competition who they do not actually have to play( it wasn't a district game, just a normal regular season game that doesnt mean anything really except for the soccerinfo rankings).

Fairview may get your wish to make a point to the whole state. Brentwood might play you gusy because their clarksville game got rained out. Isnt that what you guys have wanted for the entire year?
