Point decisions- The head coach normally makes the decisions on extra points, going for 2, kicking field goals, going for it on 4th down, or punting. Lowe made alot of these decisions.

I will say it again, Lowe is a good offensive coordinator. He made alot of the point decisions on Friday nights anyway. Watch him after a score or a punt or field goal situation, he made the calls. Stevens was not around him and he did not have on a headset. The problem that Powell has had is defensively and perception.

Answers- Kelly left because of Duncan. Lowe was not in charge of discipline and defensive game planning. They have been good on offense the last 3 years. Lowe, by his own admission, does not know what is happenning on defense. He will have to familiarize himself with that side of the ball if he gets the job.

I would rather talk to you HTV than read, but I guess I could find time. Is Lambert going to drive from Scott County to Powell? Is he going to bring his QB and basketballplaying (15 points a night )oldest of 4 sons to Powell if he gets the job? Does Hardergree have any more QB kids?

Is Hardegree an assistant USJ? I know he has been a Head Coach. The amount of support for Lowe is great, have all these people called the AD for him? I know their has been alot of calls for Lambert even some from UT. I bet one of the UT coaches called for Hardegree also. With their record this might not be good. I do not know about Hardegree but I would hate to draw comparisons to Coach Henderson,GOD rest his sole. If all these coaches could model themselves after him they would all be remembered in a great light.

I wonder if the order of the interviews gives anything away. Lowe had his last week, the mystery applicant goes today, and Lambert is on Tuesday. Is this 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd. The newest rumor is the AD was asked if Lowe was a shoe-in and he said do not count on it.

If the JCM guy applied then Lowe could have a problem. ?, why leave a JCM for Powell?

I beilieve the other is Lambert from Oneida, and the other is the question. HTV, does he have college experience?

Ironside is in GA somewhere. Do not know why he would want to take a pay cut, but you never know.

I heard a name today, Ironside. He used to be the head coach at Alcoa.

If the final 3 do not have HC experience then Lowe is a lock.

The latest thing that I have heard is that Helton at Central was hoping that Lowe got the job. I wonder if he thinks he can beat Lowe like he beats everyone else,except Maryville.

Thanks for the info, I heard the Hammondtree rumor along time ago, but it resurfaced the other day at a meeting that I was aware of at the community sports thing. I guess that Lowe is back in the lead.

Newest rumor from the Powell community youth sports- The Powell faithful have said that Hammontree is the leading candidate. I have said all along that Lowe deserves his shot, but if you have a coach with the experience and a state championship under his belt then you would be brave to not hire him.

I believe they served BEEF.

Lowe said at the banquet that he would support whoever the administration chose.

I heard that Stevens did not even speak at the banquet. Did Lowe do all the talking and why? Why did Smith skip b-ball practice on Sunday?

I agree that Stevens should and did let his coaches coach. My point was that when decisions were made in a hurry it looked like Lowe was calling the shots. Another problem I have noticed was the assistant coaches treatment of the officials. Is this not Stevens job? How many 15 yard penalaties did the Powell staff get in Steven's tenure? I bet no assistant got a penalty when Duncan was in charge.

I promise you that Lowe will call his own plays. He made most of the HC decisions on friday's anyway.

Know2- What roles did D.Smith play in all of this? What about KR's role in all the school moving that has gone on? By the way have we not gone through this at least once?

It seems that if Lowe is supported be Stevens and D.Smith then he should be a lock. What is the word at Hump's?

Lowe may have some things to tighten up but he is the rightful aire. To correct the statement that he did OK as a player, he was a great high school player. He was also a good college player, I believe he still holds the record for most receptions in a game at Middle TN. He was also the team captain at Middle. His only drawback is that he has not been a head coach, Will they give him his shot is the question? In the questionaire did the Principal put her 2 cents in the making of it?

If Lowe gets the job will Powell have the long awaited return of the legend Coach Kelly?

Can anyone confirm that Lambert did apply? Is this his first applacation for a head job?

Would that be the former coach at Heritage? I do not know if there is room for 2 roosters in the hen house.
