Phibbs and Buchanan aren't "Way Down" in the rotation. They are 3 and 4 respectively. Tonight Farragut just out hit us. Halls came out strong in the first few innings but as always, Farragut fought back to earn the title. Farragut just had timely hits and key plays to win the game. Still, the game was a great one to be part of and watch.

b-dub whats up...it's one of your old boys. Nice to see ya talkin on here again. It's been a while it seems. Can't wait for tomorrow night's game. It's going to be one of the better ones this year hopefully. I think Phibbs will come out strong if he gets focused and I'm sure he will in this kind of game. No doubt Farragut's pitcher will come to play also, along with the rest of the squad but same for Halls. Should be a hard fought game all-around. No blowout in my opinion, just a close ballgame.

I want to add Jeff Lockwood from Knox Halls to the list of prospects. I'm suprised no one has mentioned him yet. He's a 2-way prospect and bound for some nice future ball.

Not trying to sound bias or anything (as i play for Halls) but i agree when Lockwood is on he is very hard to beat. He's got really good velocity on his fastball and i've heard batters say his curveball is one of the best. I can't wait until the game Monday though. I think this is our first real shot since 97 to make it pretty far. I just wish the best of luck to all the teams still left.

I meant anyone can be beaten by anyone on any given day. Granted some teams don't lose as much yeah but i mean losing is part of the game. I guess I just figured everyone thought Farragut was stacked as well. Both teams are good....and that's why they were 1 and 2.

Yeah a great deal of Karns fans showed up tonight...seemed like more than we had over on our Halls side. I would really like to see the beavers give the admirals a game. Everyone just wants to see Farragut lose. I have many friends that play on the team as well as many of the players in our district but I, as would about all of district 3-AAA, would like to see Farragut lose to Karns. I think it could happen. Anything is possible. Halls doesn't have the easiest game either with South Doyle. South Doyle is a pretty stacked team. It would be nice to see the Region Championship to have the same match-up as the District Championship did tonight with the two 3-AAA teams. I talked to a Karns' Dad in the bathroom today before the game and we both agreed that we were tired of seeing Farragut get all the props. Don't get me wrong they deserve every one of their honors and the respect they have, but it would just be a nice change to see them go out early. With all that said, good luck to everyone in the region.

The game tonight was a dandy one. Lockwood pitched one of the best games I've ever seen him throw. He got tired during the bottom of the 7th. I'm not sure exactly how many strikeouts Lockwood had but it was a very high number. The Halls defense was pretty good too. Leaving runners on base is a bad habit Halls has though. Powell played a very good game as well. Cummings looked a little shaky when his opening pitch got ripped by Munsey for a lead-off double. He got out of the inning though without any runs scoring. Halls will now face the winner of Oak Ridge/Powell tonight. The winner will have to beat Halls twice Wednesday night. Good luck to all the teams left.

The game tonight should be a really good one. It is going to come down to who wants it more. The game can really go to either team.....both teams split this year winning at each other's home. The game takes place at a neutral field. Both pitchers throwing tonight are some of the best on their team.

Also, the contest takes place on a neutral field where both teams have had success at times this year.

What is everyone's predicitions for the game scheduled for Monday night at 7:30? So far we hear that Cummings is on the hill for Powell but no one knows about Halls? What does everyone think?
