  1. In the Friendship game Gordonsville's best player and only senior did not play well. When she struggles, the whole team does the same; when she plays well, the rest of the team plays well. And she played a much better game against Macon Co.
  2. First of all, congrats to the Owls. It was such a hard fought game that was closer than what the score says. It came down to mistakes...Gordonsville made 3 and Carthage made none. Not making turnovers wins games and that's what won this one. The teams were evenly matched athletically I thought, but Carthage had so much more depth and that is also a key to winning games. I don't know bout you guys but I believe the rivalry is still there. Good luck Owls. Like a true G-ville fan I gotta say, "Next Year!!"
  3. He was also a sophomore QB starting in his first real game. I would guarantee that after a year's experience you will see a much more prepared Justin Smith than you saw last year. Who knows though, I guess we will find out in about 18 hours. I can't wait!
  4. I don't blame ya since Jackson County is a much bigger game than the Gville game and they are a much better opponent. Maybe we should sit out Smith to save him for RBS.
  5. I think I'm gonna go there. Yeah...your facilities are nice, Gordonsville's aren't too bad, but at least we have enough fans to fill up our home side with people standing all around the fence. I know what you guys comeback is gonna be, "Our stadium is twice as big as yours." Yeah it sure is...you are quite right. But you also have twice as many students in your school and should therefore have twice as many fans. To me that should equal out. You would think that since tomorrow night's game is not your biggest of the season(as you Owl fans claim) that there would be more fans at the Owl's home opener against an opponent like Catholic. The home side wasn't full last Friday...we will see how it looks tomorrow night. I hope you found all those lost Owl fans. Sorry, I forgot to go file that missing Owl fans report. Good luck to both teams tomorrow night. The game will be close. I'm gonna go with the Tigers in an upset. I think Carthage will underestimate Gville.
  6. Debut? His debut was last Friday, and although it didn't last very long he was in there long enough to throw an interception. It didn't take him too long to throw his first interception of the season. I hope he racks up some more for his stats tomorrow night.
  7. Good choice. Just imagine how you would feel if you were pulling for the Owls....probably a little worse than nauseated
  8. Who said we have 5 D1 prospects? Wait.....surely you don't think Carthage has 5 D1 prospects??
  9. The Tigers are much improved from last year. The game against you guys should be a close one. Even though TC lost tonight they will most definitely bounce back in a MAJOR way. I say between FCS, Trousdale, and Gordonsville, whoever wins this region is gonna go a long way in the playoffs.
  10. It was as much of a barn burner as the SC/Catholic matchup was.
  11. OK...you have been officially diagnosed as insane if you think the gate for the KC game was bigger than the one for the Gordonsville game will be. I was at the game and sat on both sides at some point during the night. There were empty seats EVERYWHERE!!! Even on the SC side. Was there some other event going on that I was unaware of that took some of SC's fans? It didn't look like there was an overwhelming amount of people that came out to support the Owls in their season opener against a team the caliber of Knox Catholic. I am going to the sheriff's office to file a missing persons report for you guys. I'll be there Friday night and if there are fewer people at the game than there was tonight I'll believe that the game has lost some heat. Till then I'll be trying to find some of those diehard SC fans that are missing.
  12. The Smith Countians on the north side of the river have never gotten over how good ol' Dan the Man ruffled their feathers a few years ago. And since then GorDONsville has been GorDANsville to them. He got on here and ripped Carthage a little bit and Dan the Man is forever a legacy on CoachT.
  13. Well the game is less than 2 weeks away. Anybody want to give their prediction for the score?
  14. Well I guess it doesn't matter which 11 of the 80 or so Owls start on defense, they will be sure to run a 40 in under 5 seconds. I'd say even if you threw a couple of the SC waterboys into the lineup, the starting D would all still run under a 5 flat.
  15. Just curious, who all does the entire SC starting defense consist of?
