Yes Shelby is an 8th grader. She is awesome. So far this year she has hit 7 homeruns, not including the usual 3 a practice.

Columbia Academy won the 12 a district tournament. The season MVP was Shelby Burchell and all tournament for CA was Heather Knox, Emily Ford, Shelby Burchell, Amanda Rector, and Rachel Brown.

I just want to say that I have been reading alot on here about how there is no competition in District 12 A and that CA won't be able to hang with Richland monday night, well I just want to assure everyone that Monday night's game will prove this wrong. CA is a very strong team, even though we are young. Tomorrow night is going to be a close game and both teams have their work cut out for them but by no means will this be a blow out for Richland. Obviously CA's being under estimated, but hey don't take my word for it you'll just have to come out Monday night and see for yourself. ALL THE WAY LADY DAWGS!!!!
