You might be one of those recievers that we never threw to, but if you played you must have been a pretty good blocker.

Outsider you are correct. If Coach Smith gets the credentials, he will be a welcome addition on any staff. I'm sure that Coach Mac would not turn down good help. Private schools can do things that public schools can't. And that may not even been a factor.

The Shadow knows. I think the Shadow should be sending out some of those interesting flyers of days past . I enjoyed the insight of them, and humor.

If you coach with the same attitude and work ethic that you played with you would be a great addition to any coaching staff. Why have you not considered assisting at Antioch?

Hey Lilal, I never said Antioch would win, I 'm just hoping they would have won. But with your insight you might want to consider coaching, even though I heard that you don't. I didn't say quitting was a bad thing, best thing I ever did. no regrets. Probably for you too. Metro has been known to leave a bad taste. Hope you are doing well. Where did you coach and where are you now. Call me if you can't say on here.

Shadow was right about getting to the play-offs. I remember Antioch ,Overton,and M.B.A. all finishing with 1 loss in the region and Antioch not going, 2 years in a row.

Lilal, you must be positive. Why so negative, Metro must have put a sour taste in your mouth. What is the deal?

This opens a whole can of worms that we probably shouldn't go too far into. But, if there were no private schools, Metro would be very different. If all the kids from Belle Meade, Brentwood, Oak Hill, Forest Hills, and West Meade went to Hillsboro, Overton, and Hillwood, those schools' demographic would change completely. The same could be said in Antioch, Donelson, Hermitage, etc. The private schools take a lot of your middle/upper socioeconomic kids away. Those are the kids that the counties have a higher percentage of.

 

What is the greatest indicator on a schools test scores? The number of kids on free lunch. That also has an impact on athletics and other extracurricular activities.

Any predictions on this season-ending game. Both teams would love to finish with a win.

If Gallatin wins they are 1st, Lose they are 4th. Is this correct? If so , alot to play for.

Quarterback clubs should raise money and support the school. They have no business doing anything else. Coaches usually don't change from year to year but players sure do. Isn't this the same coach and staff that has had success that has been envied by alot of high schools in middle Tennessee.

It's obvious the administration has changed, but the biggest difference is the kids. 33 years ago, very few kids went to private or magnet schools. Now, 35% of Metro's potential students go to private schools. This is an issue of poverty. I can see a difference just over the last 10 years. We have a lot more kids from poor homes than we used to.

Why do you think private schools have increased in enrollment? Explain, please. If there were no private schools would it be different.

Used to be at Hillsboro, now at central office, needs to go to new school to be built in Antioch.
