I have seen their second string and yes they would beat Whitwell. I think their 2nd string is the 2nd best team in the region easily.

No they don't still play 8 man football. You are on your own as far as the rules.

Grace and Temple will not be with Boyd. Boyd is moving up to at least 2a while Grace and Temple will be 1a.

First of all the idea that private schools are the only one's that recruit is crazy. When I was in high school I know that the public schools were recruiting my friends. Also, I have kids now that play for me at a private school that tell me that coaches from the public schools are trying to get them to play for them. If recruiting is a problem it is both ways. I went to public school and thought that all private schools recruited so I hated them. Then when I found myself coaching at a private school I was so wrong. At our school we have strict restrictions about talking to students from other schools, not to mention we have no money to offer them anyways. I do understand both sides of the argument, but don't put all private schools into the same catagorey.

Grace should do good this year. They are young, but have some good size and some good athletes. They did well against Kings Academy, so we will see how they do against David Brainerd.

No, upper 40's. He has a daughter who is teaching at grace and she is about 23. He didn't have kids until after college.

Grace plays David Brainerd on Saturday. How good are they?

The game was closer than the score. Halftime it was 14-0 on two long pass plays. 2nd half was better, Grace scored once and got close on two other oppertunities. Kings Academy scored on two more long plays to end the game. 28-6 final. There were a lot of positive things about Grace's first game and some things that have to be worked on.

They are still working on it. But they are playing Kings Academy, David Brainerd, Temple, Grace Christian out of Knoxville, St. Andrews Sawanee, and DCA in Varsity as of now. Boyd, South Pitt, Whitwell, Lookout Valley, and Copper Basin in JV. This is a rough schedule of what they have.

Mowery is the coach. Terry Knecht played at Ooltewah. There is another coach Bernie Scruggs who played QB for Kentucky. There first game is Friday night at Kings Academy @7:30

Grace is having a football team and will compete in both J.V. and Varsity levels. And yes they are playing Temple.
