  1.  Pickett County is NOT a Good Single A team...Like I said if you want to see a GOOD Single A Team then Get Out of the Woods, put the Banjo Down and Go Watch a Mitchell Game. Byrdstown is a Good Upper Cumberland Single A Team but probably will not make it out of that Region and Everyone Knows that Region is Not Very Good...What You Read is Opinion...What You See is Perception...Read more and Watch More Games out of your Hometown

Clay Co. #1 in A in state, Clarkrange #6 in state, Jackson Co. #9 in state and PC is good when they want to play, not when they don't. Played 2 poor games, then beat a very good Clinton Co, KY team last night. Say what you want about PC, but 7A has 3 teams in poll and Clay is on top. Proud of Clay, Jackson and Clarkrange! (and of course of PC too)

  2. The Lady Bobcats traveled to Livingston Academy Monday night to play the AP Poll #8 Lady Wildcats. The gym was packed with not just PC & LA fans, but coaches, players and fans from all over  for this showdown of rivals. PC had won by a point at home earlier, but rolled to an 81-52 win to go to 15-1. This was PC's third straight win over LA, something that hasn't happened in a long time.

  3. I think this says more about how good Clarkrange are than the latter. It took PC 13 years to do that? I wouldn't have pointed it out tbh. PC falling is on point this year though. Forget state, please let PC play the NBA.

All this instigation is getting old honestly. You can be supportive of PC (for reasons unbeknownst to me) but dogging all these other teams in the process is petty. I actually hope they make it to state so we can see where the true talent lies.

Yes it took 13 years to do that. NO ONE ELSE HAS in those 13 years until PC. Dogging??? I complimented Clarkrange in another post and they should be complimented. FEW single A teams outside of 7A will beat them, or AA or AAA.

  4. First off let me start by saying congrats on the win lady bobcats. Next until you have the record that Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes have I wouldn't be gloating like as if you have won the lottery. When you all can post this kind of a record in highschool basket ball then you can say you have won the lottery, lol!! 42 years consecutive with a winning record, as to date 1113 wins with only 249 losses, what is that close to 80% of wins? I'm old so my math is not so good anymore lol. Just sayin, now i'm gonna set back and read all the comments to this post of everyone talking all there negativity about the facts.. Have a wonderful season. All the way 7A!!!

If you had read both my posts you would have read where I said basically the same thing...that Clarkrange has been great forever. My point was it was an accomplishment. People on here are so negative...just like that horrible "Topics." Those knocking Coach Rogers must be jealous. Gloating, sorry you are wrong. I am congratulating the PC girls on quite an accomplishment.

  5. The whole point OBVIOUSLY was it was something very rare. It took years for PC to build their program where it is today. Yes, Clarkrange has one of the best programs in the United States and I bet there is no other school with  record anywhere as good as theirs. I think most people in the state admire what Coach Rogers has done...rivals included.   And, even being down they will beat most other schools.  So, you have nothing to do but come on and always criticize? It seem it is what you do best.

  6. PC handed Clarkrange its worst home loss in over 13 years...that is as far back as records go on Coacht. The Lady Buffaloes went ahead 15-6, but PC outscored them 45 to 23 in the 2nd half after leading 32-27 at the half. PC had 12 threes in the blowout. McClellan 24 Pritchett 16 Ferrell 14

  7. I guess you are right. Jackson Co shooting 12 for 34...about 34% and shooting 2 for 6 on threes 33% could not have anything to do with them losing. Several 3 point air balls were all PC's fault too.  All those turnovers were PC cheating too. I think having more talented players has to be in the rule book as technical fouls and they weren't even called!

  8. Not only did they play better, they are more talented. When a player is in position to take a charge, they always fall no matter what. It is not cheating. It is part of the game. I have seen JC do it just a much and they should since they have a great coach. No one got on here crying about it either. Do you want our girls to leave their position and clear the lane so that JC can get uncontested layups so they wont get beaten as badly?

  9. Also...obviously I wasn't talking about JC's 4 in a row. You are just jealous that after Clarkrange and JC dominating for so many years that PC has been better the last 2 than JC. It is a shame to act that way too. Many of us went to your 4 in a row in Murfreesboro to cheer on JC since they are 7A or were 8AA. We also go and cheer for Livingston and Clarkrange too at Murfreesboro.

Since you do not know the rule about charges, here it is:

A defensive player does not have to be stationary to take a charge…. he or she simply must have established a legal guarding position. The defense can move backward and sideways.

  10. Jackson County has won 4 in a row as well. Jealous? Not so much. I'm simply appalled at such horrid tactics used to win.

I'd rather lose every game than resort to faux charges to pull foul shots. Genuine talent will triumph over that at some point. PC has good qualities but not good enough to score a gold ball.

Nonsense. You must not know basketball. Taking a charge is part of the game. Don't charge into another player if you don't want a charge called on you. And yes, GENUINE TALENT did triumph last night. PC hardly played their best game last night. JC was better than I expected...they only lost by 15.

  11. When I put a fact on here it is called an excuse, so PC being deeper is also just a JC excuse.

JC was better than I expected and only lost by 15. PC didn't play all that well either, missing layups and didn't get their usual number of threes. They proved they are far and away the best in 7A.

  12. Well considering that Jackson County has 4 girls out with injuries I'm not sure if they have enough players at this juncture. PC at home is definitely the favorite and would be even if JC was healthy which they're not. I'll say the home team wins each of these match ups and we'll see how it shakes out in the tournaments.

FACTS are not allowed on here. 4 players with injuries is called an excuse on here. PC has a starter out...Adriana Thurman won't play this year, and Kassidy Geesling is out too and she played a lot last year. 56-41 Pickett Co. and it was over 6 minutes into the game.

  13. Sorry, just the facts and we are all VERY proud of our Lady Bobcats playing as well as they did without being full strength. Would rather be a Lady Bobcat fan and see them lose one than be for any other team. Knock them all you want...I certainly don't care about your opinion! And of course Grace is the worst team, and Daniel Boone one of the best, so who said Grace was a great team anyway? So childish!

  14. With 2 starters out:

Pickett Co 100 Grace Academy 14,

Pickett Co. 80 Dobyns Bennett (AAA) 62

AAA & district favorite Daniel Boone 74 Pickett Co. 64

...With 2 starters out and starter Jayna Ferrell out for a while after getting slammed hard with an elbow and playing their second game in in 2 hours, they did GREAT! When everyone is back and healthy they will be even better! Thanks for asking!

And, playing over nearly 4 hours from home, the Pickett crowd was as big as Daniel Boone's home crowd.
