The T$$AA like to try to control field access during playoff games. I was sports editor for a newspaper a few years back and I had to jump through hoops to get a field pass. They are a terrible organization. It doesn't shock me that they tried to keep parents off the field.

I don't think CLinton will be able to get a great passing game off against the Cougar's secondary. I do think the game will be won on the ground. But I feel the Cougars get the upset by a score of CCHS - 13 Clinton - 10

Sadly Knox radio does not support it's high school football.

Its been raining here but not tropical storm raining.

I hope the Cougars step up their game a region opening win could be huge.

He deserves it. I hope the Dogs have a great season under him.

I'm calling an upset by the Bulldogs on this one. The Tribe has to make a miserable bus trip from the Tri Cities to west Knoxville and will be playing a much improved Bearden team that has a new coaching staff and that is very hungry. I'm not knocking the Tribe uin anyway but I think Coach WIlson and his staff may surprise them. I wish luck to both teams and a safe trip down and back for all the Tribe.

It's a big region test for the Cougars and I hope to see them win. Jeff County will be out to win big. It should be a fun game to watch.

I think the handoff timing on Flemming/Stiner was priobably a result of Flemming being primarily a defensive player. MInton and Stiner have been teammates since middle school so their timing should be clockwork.

I think 82 was when the freshmen moved up to CCHS, my mistake.

I think it will be a 7 or 8 win season for the Devils. I'd love to see them go deep into the playoffs. I'd really love to see them beat Cloudland.

I'm pretty sure it was 1982 (and the freshman moved up three years later) when CCHS opened the dors. I'll try to dig out Rodney's(who is now coaching at Bearden) book he wrote on Cougar football. It is very informative.

I think the Gap can rally and have anopther good season and hopefully it starts here.

I know the new coaching staff will have the Blue Devils ready to go.

If the O-line steps up the offense could be pretty exciting. I think the D will look good this week.

I look for the Cougar secondary to step up and stop the passing attack. As far as stopping the running game goes we have a good D-line and Bobby Green and Kevin Flemming are outstanding linebackers.

They have a fine new coaching staff and some talented players. They should make the playoffs, hopefully second seed.

That does sound alot like Campbell County. These are both eams on the verge.

Yea I can't blame Heritage to much though. They are alot like CC in many ways. Both are 5A schools that have never had tons of success on the gridiron. I am happy that Heritage has good confident fans. I hope they all come out Friday. I am still going with CC as the winner.

Maybe return to glory was the worng term to use, but they have always had strong teams that unfortunately had to compete with The Oak Ridges and D-Bs. Let's be honest very few teams can stand up to OR, DB, Ootalwah, and the other powerhouses that dominate 5A football. But I still feel Bearden may shock some people this year.

I gotta pick Oak Ridge based on tradion and overall record.
