Thoughts on what this year should look like? Jackson will be in year 3 at the helm. Foster will be a Jr and be under center for year #2
I would say Tigers are pre season favorites to win the region but the Bulldogs from Celina might have something to say about that
Opinions?
I’d venture to say you will be much improved. Gordonsville is always going to be a solid team.

Last year we didn’t have a 6’7” 330lb tackle starting.
New kid or young kid that just didn’t get to start?
-
Keep the current rule in place.

SP will likely be better than some expect. However we did lose most of the starters. Good young talent coming up though.

How are the Warriors gonna be looking in 2024?
They have a great shot to win the whole enchilada in 2024! East Robertson is likely the only team in the east that will give them problems. That will be a tough game. Other than that they will roll to 12-0 and face East Robertson in the quarterfinals.

Cmon Pirate. You know that’s not true. Don’t want to take anything away from OZ or any other team for that matter. But you guys will always be the front runner until proven otherwise
I was just thinking. I believe SP lost the entire starting defense? Also I’m thinking 2-3 back on offense.

OLIVER Springs will be a major contender next year.
They most definitely could be the front runner in the east.

Hope everyone out here had a Merry Christmas!

Got a chance to watch the replay of the game on nfhs today. The Pirates lost a bunch from this 2023 team. If the starting lineups were correct on TV we lost 8 on offense and 9 on defense. I look for a dip in 2024 but then an incline again in 25 and 26.

wow! that is crazy bro...lets see what 2024 brings hahaha
Just to clarify I was speaking about the MASE kids. They weren’t required to move to play for MASE. Once that starts happening everywhere HS football will be just like college football as we’ve seen it now.

Holy crap, so this stuff is definitely going on so it appears...i guess if you can find the loophole, jump through it. Vanderbilt needs some of those transfers, hahahahaha
I read on here this summer about it. It seems like kids are playing more 7/7 stuff and transferring to schools with their buddies. Some kid left Brainerd for an NIL deal up in Kentucky. There was an article about it back in August.

It was a loophole wildbill cited it a while back.
MAHS did the same thing in basketball one year they loaded up and we barely got by them in the state tournament they were stacked!
At least the two kids that came to SP had to move. I didn’t see that statement about a loophole but did read where they weren’t required to move. I believe some kid from Riverdale also went to MASE and just lived with a family member. I think I read that on here as well.

i know, that would be a disaster for sure! anyway, you have great points on the other transfers like the Red Bank RB who is now Oaklands best player, and i did not know that the Boo Carter kid was also a transfer!
He was at Chattanooga Christian last season. He went to Brainerd, then went to Bradley this summer. The QB for Bradley came from Rhea County for his senior year. Anderson County won 4A last year and a starting QB shows up from another program and played there this season.

MASE coach orchestrated those kids moves and facilitated them by knowing the rules just like you guys!
How did he get them eligible without even moving? They had 4-5 kids that played at one school, and never moved then played at MASE. The state allowed them a waiver. I believe one was a highly recruited QB.

I just figured the circumstances of them both showing up on y’all’s doorstep were orchestrated…..Congrats on the win! I’m sure we will meet y’all down the road next year!
Hey I get it.. Greenback had kids that moved there in 2017-2109 range and some of our village idiots were giving them you know what… They had 2 giant linemen with power 5 offers and Maryville’s QB. So I do understand the feeling…

They wouldn’t have beaten Mckenzie without big boy and that ball hawking safety.
McKenzie wouldn’t have been close if our home grown QB was healthy.. or if we don’t fumble 3 possessions in a row. Anyone can play the should have would have game all day. Once again, has Clay County ever got a transfer in basketball from anywhere else? If a kid likes a sport they want to play somewhere that wins. It’s that simple..I didn’t hear a word when 5 star Boo Carter left and went to Bradley or when that Red Bank kid when to Oakland.. Instantly became the best players on their teams. MASE had transfers that reportedly didn’t even move and still played this year.

I wasn’t there I unfortunately knew what was coming that’s a long drive for a L, it’ll be a lot closer next year though unless y’all reload!
I know enough to know that the circumstances didn’t matter to the SP faithful the only thing that does is he helped get you proud people a gold ball! Good thing he had all you SP fans there cheering him, is he still going to be enrolled there after the Christmas break? Lol
SP had 30 freshmen and sophomores on the roster this year. They will be young but talented. I’m glad to know you weren’t the one telling racial slurs at that kid and others after that gameThe kid is reportedly brilliant and graduates at Christmas. He’s an early enrollee for college. That’s not shabby if you ask me. Clay County has had a lot of great basketball players. Have they EVER had a kid transfer from another place? They probably have since they have such a great program.
He definitely helped win a gold ball. I wish we would have thrown him the ball more though. He only played a quarter vs Clay County. That game outcome is the same regardless. Wallace was out that night as well.

Congratulations to Riverside on the gold ball. Congrats to East Robertson on a great season. You guys will be back. Enjoyed watching this game on Saturday from the recliner.

That’s tough for those kids, I don’t understand that ruling from TSSAA when they let SP get two big time seniors one from a private school CCS, who just so happened to play them last year and waxed SP. The other one who got there right before the season started from a big school in Georgia who was not legally aloud to play in Georgia , because of his actions. They used the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Act which is basically homeless kids needing help to get an education. That simply wasn’t true he chose to be homeless to play football for SP. Seems like TSSAA just picks and chooses their battles. There is definitely an Asterisk by their championship IMO. Even if they didn’t recruit him they gave him safe passage with limited questions asked, because they saw the Auburn commit who could possibly win some football games. And they don’t win the ship without those two players.
Man go back to Celina….just stay in Dale Hollow.. Were you one of the idiot racists yelling racial slurs at #13 and others after our second round playoff game? Those of us standing on the track beard the verbal assault on that young man. It’s shameful that you would pull that type stunt.
You don’t really know half of what you think you know. It’s sad.. but understandable I guess. I asked a question.. and got an answer…that kid’s mother or siblings never came to one game the entire year. So yea I’d say he qualified.

You could have been right. Without the turnovers and a healthy QB they may have won by quite a bit more

Thug? I’d love for you to let his daddy know what you called his son. These are kids and deserve for adults to act like adults.

Ummm no,..

This guy here is trolling y’all badly, but he is very ignorant as well. Haters gonna hate boys.

I think Huntingdon has gained 2 kids in the last 8 or so years. One moved out in 6th grade and moved back in. The other moved in when school started last year and sat until he was eligible.(8th game I believe) The rest are home grown boys. We rarely gain any.
Football factory in the genes then because y’all are always in the hunt.i believe several have went on to UT as well.
