I'm ganna say that East beats Heritage in semifinal game. It's at East, and they beat them once this year already. That will put McEwen and East in the championship game and I believe that McEwen will beat them for the 3rd time this year.

yea, it was definitly the best game ive been to all season. Close game, crazy fans, and of course, McEwen won.

Wrong. McEwen beat east twice, Heritage beat East once. We are not tied we won.

Awesome game last night, best one of the season. Congrats to McEwen, and I hope we see CPA in the Region Chapionship. CPA really is a class act, as usual, and I hope they go far... just not further than us. GO MCEWEN!!! WIN STATE!!!

The Warriors come back home to take on the very talented East Robertson team. Trey Smith will still be out with his sprained ankle for McEwen. This was a prty close game at East earlier in the season, but because of an awesome night by Puckett (34 points), McEwen came out the victors. I think that East will probebly contain Puckett a little bit beter this game because of what happened before, so look for a fairly high scoring game from Joseph Elrod. Im calling it a McEwen win by 9 points.

Please dont talk under my username. Anyway, I would also like to congradulate Coach Phill and the Warriors on finaly getting some reconition in the Tennessean.

What is up with this Lackey kid. I thought he was supposed just Mr. Awesome. He only had 7 last night in a huge game. It's OK if your star don't have a good scoring game in a win because that means your team adjusted to a good defensive stratedgy from the other team. But seven points in a loss, that just means you got shut down. It looks to me like McEwen and CPA are on top of the region. They should both take two regular season district championships in row. Good job McEwen and CPA.

For all of you who did not think McEwen and Daniel Puckett were for real, just look in the center of today's Tennessean and read all about it. McEwen IS one of the top teams in the state and Puckett IS a great player. Good luck to McEwen when they play in a HUGE district game on Friday. East Robertson at McEwen, it should be a show.

The Warriors take on the Eagles in Nasshville tomorow and since I know there is ganna be a bunch of smack talk from both sides,(as there allways is) I thought I would be the one to start it off. McEwen is obvioulsy the beter team this year with a lot more talent. But for some reason when these two teams play, there is so much hate between them that no matter how bad one team is or how good one team is, it is allways a close one. Even though I'm very, very confidant that McEwen will win, this will be a good game..............Ah screw it! McEwen is going to hand NCS the beating of the season and ya know whats ganna be the best part of it is? The Warriors get to do it in their home away from home - that little box they like to call a gym. I have to disagree with you on the comment that McEwen is playing uninspired. McEwen High school has never been to a State Champiionship game in any sport, the farthest any basketball team from mcewen has gone in the playoffs was a sub-state game (a Girls Team from '85 or '86). The point I'm trying to make is that this is probebly the best sports team to ever come out of McEwen High, and the only thing on these players minds (and the minds of the community) is a state championship. So trust me, the warriors are very inspired, and are thinking about the fact that this is a 1st placing game. I dont see them passing this game over in their minds. That being said, I have to give some congrats to Heritage. Being a 3 year school, and already puting themselves on the map is prety impresive. I predict a close, 5 point win for McEwen tomorow night. GO WARRIORS

I don't think I asked who was going to stop them from being undefeated, I asked who was ganna stop 'em from winning state. Or have the rules been changed to where you have to be undefeated to be state champions, if they have just let me know, but if not, start thinking about what your saying before you make an a#& out of yourself.

Obviously Im still going to say that McEwen is going to win this one, because I honestly think they have the talent to beat anyone in 1A basketball if they play like they should. But, this game is going to be tougher than what it was going to be now that Trey Smith is out with an ankle injury. He (and Joseph Elrod) are the teams main three point shooters, so he will be missed in this game of two 1A powerhouses. Im looking for Elrod and or Puckett having a big night on offence in a 5 point win over Heritage.

I just want to point out that McEwen beat East Robinson (who beat Heritage) earlier this season.

Waverly hoops team is the only good thing about Waverly. Rico, Curtis, and Hollis are really good players. Having said that the Waverly people are retarded. They think they live in some huge metropolis between New Johnsonville and McEwen. In reality they live in a small redneck town also, but they think they are so much better than McEwen. The town of Waverly flat out stinks.

hey i know u did'nt write that but why are u so mad about it. Well the 02-03 team was a little better. Anyone with a little b-ball sense would know that. By the way they had a true leader in jv with bilgun ankyubar.

McEwen is the best team in their region behind CPA. CPA's schedule is much tougher than McEwen's. White House Heritage might even beat McEwen. McEwen will probably finish second or third in the region tourney. McEwen's district has never been weaker. Puckett should try to score in the forties more often because he definately has the talent to do so. Instead he normally tries to get his eighteen to twenty points and helps Smith and Elrod get their ten to fifteen points. It would be funner to watch if he would try to score more and break a bunch of records. Puckett is not a selfish player no matter what anyone says. I'm not related to Puckett either. I'm out.

I would just like to point out that that wasn't me, someone must have got on my name and put it. But I would argue that mcewen is one of the best teams in 1a and has a very good chance at winning state.

yo mcewen is the best team in 1a! they know how to run the court and they have to great defensive players with diviney and hatcher. this team is very similar to the 02-03 team that had the all-district superstar in cody hall who dominated just like daniel puckett has done this season. This team will win the region easily.
