Although I didn't know either one of the girls, a Pioneer alumnus is keeping both families and the student body and faculty at Crockett in my prayers. During my tenure at the school, we went through what was dubbed by the media as a 'Crockett Curse' in which five members of the class of 1995 never had the chance to make it to graduation. That was in my class alone. We had lost others of our student body in the classes before and after mine.

 

This was a tragic accident that no one should have to go through. To the families, no words I could say could comfort you in this time of sorrow and grief. To the student body, stay strong and remember and think of Courtney the way she was Friday night, happy and beautiful. To the faculty, I hate that you must again set aside your own grief over one of your students and help yet another student body cope with such a tragedy. May God be with all of you.

 

Again, I will pray for the whole community.

Elizabethton gets to play at Joe O'Brien field whichis where the E-Twins, Appy League, plays at. A nice minor league setup.

I know that ETSU and Milligan College both offer a varity of camps from elementary, middle and high school ages and for boys and girls. They usually post info on thier websites.

Unaka won, don't remember the score. UH won over Cloudland, 51-41.

The Region 1-A bracket is incorrect.

 

Clouldand (No. 4) plays Washburn (No. 1).

 

North Greene (No. 3) is playing Hancock County (No. 2).

Cloudland did beat Boone, but Boone is not in 1-A. Non-Con game.

Hey 17...since you are leaving anyway, maybe you can answer this for me. Is the officiating getting worse or what? I know that no game is ever called perfect but I have seen some doozies over the past two months, i.e., calls called wrong, calls not called when they should have been. Do you have to have a minimum IQ of less than 75 or something to where a striped shirt? Thought you could share some insight on the matter. I know you probably wish you didn't get the call last night but good for you for telling him how to do his job if he is too dumb to notice a player hurt on the floor. You are going to be missed.
