  1. I appreciate all of the support guys. My wrestling career is definately over, due to the amount of damage in my arm. But I'll still be at as many matches I can pulling for my team. Can anyone tell me how the Beech 215 (Arnell, i think?) is doing. From what i heard he was pretty upset, so i would appreciate it if someone told me how he is doing.

Now as far as the injury goes, i had a dislocation of the radius and ulna at my elbow. I am currently being treated fo nerve damage. The main concern right now is the artery; the doctors think it might be pinched where there is a low amount of bloodflow to the hand. Luckily for me there was no breaks or chips, and the doctors seem pretty confident that the arteries and nerves are fine.

    Thanks for your concern,

    Max

  2. how come the only teams that are ever mentioned are hendersonville, beech, white house, smryna, and mt. juliet? are there not any other teams in our region that ahve some individuals that can compete at the top? and there is no way bundy is going 112. he has to be a 130.

  3. I am a player on WH and i would like to say that it is very uncalled for when some of you people ridicule our team. It was a good game. period. It didnt go our way. Thats tough. I played the whole game and I will say that ND is very overrated. They are good, dont get me wrong, just way to overrated. We had our chances to win and we didnt capitalize. End of story. To the rest of my seniors, dont drop down to the level that i am at right now for posting on this stupid board. I love you guys, and we all know who the true winners were. Good luck to ND.

3 TD underdawgs, 94% picking against you...

Lose by one point. I couldnt be any prouder of a group of guys than i am of our team. True underdawgs.

  4. Charlie Murphy reminds me of a certain unmentioned team (Hillwood) from last year who poked fun at BDP.

SO, I am here to say....

P.S. This is an interesting topic that I thought someone would bring up but no one has yet so I will.

Knowville Catholic and Chattanooga Notre Dame were both financially-aided, private schools last year. Now, Catholic plays Livingston Academy and White House plays ND, the ultimate debate on private v. public will now be witnessed on one of the highest plateaus of high school sports; the football playoffs. Interesting to watch!!!

  5. ND is big and quick. Not Pearl-Cohn big, but big enough.

Both running backs - 2 (led the city in rushing) and 20 - are small but very fast and elusive. QBs don't throw a lot - about 10 times a game, but they complete 7 or 8. Fullback/linebacker Ian Meredith is a beast. Just a grown man. Defensive line is quick, mean and hungry and they love to hit. Their physical play has dictated the outcome of several games with the constant poundng they deliver.

Secondary is solid. Kicker Jon Reinhart led the city in punting and is just as good kicking.

Really, not many weaknesses. Doesn't mean they can't be beaten. They've been penalty prone all year and give up the occasional turnover.

The key to this game, as in past games will be how WH handles the physical pounding and whether they can contain the ND running game and manage the clock. ND hasn't won a game in the fourth quarter this year. Haven't needed to.

For those of you who are not familiar with the White House football program, it was and still is built on physical football. With the exception of Pearl-Cohn (who actually played ND well until the end, but PC is notorious for being slacking off), ND has not played a 2 tight end, 3 back offense with alot of variations of it. They play spread offenses, no tight end, shotgun type stuff. It will definately be a test for BOTH teams. Throw the records out the window. When the playoffs started, everybody was 0-0. Now white house and notre dame are 2-0.

Two undefeated teams (sounds better) get to play each other, should be a good one.

P.S. If you remember from last year, WH played an undefeated Hillwood team who was picked to win by like 3 TDs or something. Not saying it is the same scenario now, i am just saying White will NOT be intimitated like everyone else who plays them seems to be.

    Final Score

    WH-56

    HW-28

  6. I wasnt saying that i thought he was a bad player(#14), i was just implying that in fact there was not a best player on there defense. Everyone plays there roles and doesnt care who gets the credit. I personally think that is what the problem was in the beginning of the season. You had too many people trying to do-it-all and thats not you need to have a successful defense. The defense does have great players; i.e. 71, 44, 14, 23, 34, 10, 4, 54, 53, 70, 78, and the list goes on. They just dont have that person with the title "best" player.

  7. Awful lot of bragging from a Commando :)

On to the game...ND's undefeated Irish should make this game interesting. WH's #23, #29 and #4 will carry the ball. If ND shuts down WH runs and makes them pass, the QB #12 is "iffy" at best. Bounces the ball off the ground on short passes to Ladd, #14 Zach Wood is their best defensive player. They occasionally try to pass to #7, and most passes will be to Mash #10 if not trying to go for Ladd #4. Watch for Ladd trying to take you at the knees when he tackles. When he goes down for the knees, just hurdle him. Baumann, one of their linebackers is out with injuries he got from Polk. The other, Gaines went down with injuries against Greenbrier. In a crunch 4th down, White House will try to make a team take a time out by having players come on and off the field for a punt, trying to confuse the opponent. Get ready for BDP hype. They will bring noisemakers, bleach bottles rattles and noisy fans. Make alot of hometown noise and it will rattle their defense. I'm sure Notre Dames' coaches will prepare well and move on to meet Lipscomb in the big game. Good luck, Notre Dame.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Baumann is a 330 lb. Defensive tackle. But i could see how you could get that confused :o

#14 is NOT their best player. They do not have a best player. That what makes them good. They play as a unit. At least they have the past few games and i dont see any reason why this game will be any different.

Ladd is a great open field tackler. Over the time he's played on defense, he has made many TD saving tackles. Gaines is fine, he just got out of breathe :D:D

This is a Notre Dame-White House thread. Not a I-mad-because-we-lost-and-now-i-am-going-to-cry-about-it thread.

  8. Great game. I would know. I was on the field.

Can't say enough about the class they showed afterwords. #67 is probably GB best player in my opinion. Real classy guy too. Their coaches should be proud. So should their fans. As should White House fans. Maybe the fans could take some notes from the players on how to "show some class". Both sides.

Next week, Notre Dame. Dont know much about them. Dont really care. We still get to practice.

  9. White House made too many mistakes when they played them two weeks ago to win. Look at the film. It doesn't lie. The coaches AND players have studied this film like no other. They are not going to make the same mistaked they did two weeks ago. I expect Greenbrier to do the same thing they do to everyone they play. They are going to grind the ball out with 3-4 yard runs and catch people not being honest and run they QB on the edge. White House Has a game plan that they believe in. That is the most important statistic to me.

I think everyone will be suprised after this one.

    WH-17

    GB-7

P.S.- One player doesnt make the team. Ricky is a very unselfish player and the rest of the TEAM is very proud of his achievements off the field. It is sad that some of you people would like to take away from this teams achievements by saying the things that you say because believe it or not, players do come on here and read these boards. So just congratulate him on his award and quit being so sour about it. I just hope Greenbrier plays the best game they've played all year so when White house wins, they will know that they are a better team.

    Good luck, and good night.

  10. No pressure, Dandy? I understand you trying the reverse psychology, but no pressure?

What seed are we? #3. Where is this game? Greenbrier. Who won the game two weeks ago? Greenbrier. I have to agree that the streak has nothing to do with playoffs. We said ourselves that Greenbrier didn't rub our noses in it. But I guess some White House fans can't let it go. Childish if you ask me, cause it's over and done.

We'll go play this game and do our best, I'm sure. But Greenbrier playing us for all these years is not like playing Polk that is unfamiliar. Porter and Williams know how the other thinks. We only won by 7 against Polk. We got beat by 10 against Greenbrier. These two teams know each other too well for either to be a runaway. But man, White House needs to be realistic. And as much as I love the blue, without a passing game, if Greenbrier doesn't do us in Pearl Cohn or Notre Dame will. Some may say I don't have faith but hey if its' being said in the stands, I can say it here. It's not like Greenbrier hasn't seen it for themselves.

Should be a great game. Always has been. Always will be.

I am just glad the game isnt decided on these boards.

    :P

  11. There is no comparison. Look at the film for yourself. Ladd is in a whole class by himself. Watch the films! Hamby can be controlled; i.e. he runs straight up and down, his feet tell you what hes about to do, and so on and so on and so on. Ricky is clearly a cut above the rest. You guys will find out for yourselves friday night. BDP

  12. Chop Blocking is used when someone doesn't use proper techinique and resorts to throwing their bodies at the defender's kness. Any defensive lineman with any atheltic ability runs right by it anyway, so if you made it legal, your really not helping anything from an O-linemans standpoint, your really just making it easier for the defender to run through blocks.

  13. I can say that WH will have to put a complete 4 qtrs. for them to pull this one out. PC is big, strong, and is highly motivated after the tragic accident that happened their team. White House is evolving their young squad into an experienced team as the weeks progress. They are using the weapons that they have (aka Ricky Ladd, Hargrove, West) to win football games. There line is becoming more effective, starting the season with 70 rushing to averaging around 250. The passing game, even through its meager existence, believe it or not, has helped them a little bit. The only completed pass last Friday came of a 3rd down and moved the chains. but it needs to improve. PC has the weapons, size, and determination. WH has BDP. Ya'll figure out the rest.
