  1. Here's a link to the TSSAA website that shows all test dates throughout the state. May be a little late since testing has been going on for the past 4-5 weeks. http://www.tssaa.org/Sports/Wrestling/weightmanagement.cfm
  2. As far as which team plays away and home.....especially when they are the same seed in different regions....then it alternates every year between the east and west team being required to travel. One year the team that is the furthest east has to travel, the next year it's the west turn. Does that make sense? Hopefully Central will have something to do with that and you guys won't have to worry about hosting another home game until next year!!!! I expect this to be a better game from the Cats this time around. We'll see. thumb

I'm from the west TN area, but now live in Knoxville. Believe it or not, we ask the same questions about UTK and why they don't recruit kids in their own backyard. Mr 4A Football last year from Knox Central received a full ride from Vandy, but hardly got any looks from UTK. Cassen Jackson-Garrison is 6-1, easily 220 and a much better RB than any of the UTK backs right now. This guy was also the MVP of the Tennesse squad that lost to Kentucky in the annual HS All-Star game. Not trying to shift the focus of your thread, but we feel your pain on this end of the state as well. Maybe it's something to do with the UT system???
  4. It means that either.... 1) AJ Nance did good job of covering you 2) The Central D did a good job of swarming your QB and he didn't have a chance to get the ball to you 3) You just didn't do much to contriubte to your team's loss
  5. You're such a funny guy. Speaking of M's.... I seem to remember a team that starts with an M that you guys had trouble with last year???
  6. Pioneer Pride.....I may have missed the part of the game where you guys were playing younger kids, because you guys still had some big sized boys out there. I don't mean this as any disrespect, but with the size that you guys had a receiver and RB....I don't see how you guys went 5-5 and how CHS got up on you so early. I think you guys do have some talent out there and I wish you guys the best next season. As far as trash talkin.....it goes on in all games and it's easy to point fingers at others. IMO, it's part of the game and it's easy to start that kind of crap when one team gets a big lead on another. I'm not pointing any fingers at East Ridge, and I'm not accepting any guilt on behalf of CHS. It just happens and I've learned that it is part of the game. Men can handle it....that's why others are in the band or sitting in the stands.
  7. Nothing big to report from this game. Central went in at the half up 42-0. They pulled the starters at the start of the 3rd and played sophmores and freshman the rest of the way while East Ridge played their starters the remainder of the game. Final score 49-26. Next up....CHS @ Red Bank.
  8. Pain Train, what does that mean??? This guy is a Central fan and this is a Central vs. East Ridge thread.
  9. It's kinda hard to do some trash talking about this game considering the difficulties that Cody and his family are going through right now. I wish the Watts family the best and am deeply sorry for the loss that they are experiencing right now. I think "PigSkinRules" summed it up best as to why both kids left. Regardless of all the stuff that gets said on Coach T, I still love both those guys and wish them the best. To all those people that talk about Huber, I've got a question......are you ripping him because he left CHS and tried to better his situation?? Or are you ripping him because of his father??? Or are you ripping him because he left CHS...period??? I don't know all of the inside info, so I would appreciate some insight. Other than that, I think this should be a good, close game all the way to the final whistle. Both teams have too much at stake with this game. I hope my beloved cats can win this one and give us the home-field advantage the following week in the play-offs. It will be interesting to see how they rebound after the butt-kicking they got last week against Maryville.
  10. My bad...I didn't notice you were already "eating crow"!!!!!!
  11. 17 ????? Can I have some of what you are smokin???? This should be a closer game than that. Go ahead and sober up...then rejoin the fourm.
  12. Roadrunner....I always enjoy your posts. Your such an honest guy!!!!!
  13. Just wondering what colleges were looking at her.
  14. Clinton just hired a new coach for this season. He is a good guy and a good coach and should do good things with the Dragons Clinton is definitely improved from last year. Now......let's return this to Central vs. Maryville
  15. I don't really read much into how many points have been scored against a team. Some of those points scored against Central were when freshman and sophomores were in. Central wanted to rest their starters and not pull an Alabama and get their QB or any other starter injured. Disagree with your predicted score....should be closer than that.
  16. I'm sure it was off of Smyrna's 8th string 4th graders. Reagrdless, since Siegal scored, some will be on here later trash talking about how they dominated the Smyrna D.
  17. Once again another butt kickin of Sigel. Smyrna easily beat Siegal 56-17.
  18. Should be another good game....just like last year. Should also be a great showdown between two very good QB's. I'll probably be there as soon as the gates open - I ain't going to miss this one!!!
  19. How is it an upset when a 3-4 team beats a 4-3 team?
  20. That's right....Central is a one dimensional team. I guess DaDa and Zach contribute nothing.
  21. I'm here.....I don't know anything about White Co. football but I can start some crap for the right price
  22. I give up....... By the way, I've got a band wagon headed to Texas coming through ya'lls city if you want to hop on for a ride. I never thought I would see the day that I regretted reading the latest posts on Coach T. That "T" for Tennessee.....not Texas!!!!
  23. Medman...once again I am going to back you up. A while back I said that the McCallie game proved to me what this Central team is made of. Instead of laying down at the half and getting their butts kicked, they came out and made a game of it in the second half. If not for a controversial call on a McCallie fumble in the last minute of the game, then this team could be undefeated. As much as I hate to say it, I'm glad we lost that game. It taught the guys how to be humble and how to handle humility. It also showed them that they aren't invincible and that they needed to work on their game before we get into the "meat" of our schedule. As far as that McCallie #84 that you have referred to.....his name is "Ayanga Okpokoworuk". Go ahead and get used to that name, because that kid is going to be playing on Saturdays. I know for a fact that UT is looking at him, but I don't really know who else.
  24. Oakland....good point, but I was more interested in the Miami vs. Louisville game. Once again, I don't care about some teams from Texas unless some team from TN is playing them.
