Please leave your requests to just one per post so we can manage to get as many back as possible. They tend to stack up and fall over on Percy and myself.
LEONARDS LOSERS Cleveland, The Powell Panthers are huge, and the offense is coming into its own. While Cleveland has yet to see its better play of the year, just can't handle the mear size of the Panthers. Although the Blue Raiders have much faster team speed, it will not be fast enough. The Blue Raiders will host the team from Powell. The coaching staff from Powell will have them ready. The Blue Raiders players are ready for basketball. A 6-4 season in Blue Raider country is not good. The Panthers must play their best ball to continue on, and will. Powell by 5, and advance to round 2.
LEONARDS LOSERS Adamsville, The 8-2 Yellowjackets of Fairview will travel to Adamsville to take on the 6-4 Cardinals. Should be a good game. Even though the records show a better Fairview team. The Cardinals will go down fighting. Fairview by 8, and advance to 2nd round.

If you can compare to the speed that hillwood has then your pretty fast. But seeing that, that isnt possible Fairview shouldnt have a problem due to keeping up with region 6's speed. Fairview kept up with hillwoods speed pretty well until the 4th quarter. Hillwood is a 10-0 team this year in 4A. They probably have the fastest players in the state on their team also. I meen thier quaterback and runningback are just straight out freakish its unbelievable. So dont use your speed to compare yourself to fairview. Your speed wont get you anywhere.

Lenoir City is 3A and richand is 2A its not possible to play them in the post season.

Gerry - for somebody who says he wants to be a coach, you sure do have a lot of mouth. I was going to get on here and make some remark about Hillwood doing well cause they get so much practice fighting in school, but I won't.
Why don't you make another bet with somebody? Maybe we'll be lucky and you'll lose this time.
All gerry was saying is that to gain full respect is to go well into the playoffs. yes yall should be proud for winning a region championship but dont let it end there. Go all the way. Dont settle for just a region championship. Settle for a state title. Hillwood has my respect. Hillwood has a lot of peoples respect. Gerry wasnt bad mouthing hillwood.. He was just saying to get full respect you must do well in the playoffs. Its the truth. Fairviews been in the playoffs 4 years in a row and do they get much respect. No they dont. Think of it this way. When you dont have respect doesnt that make you want to work harder to earn it. So dont take whatever Gerry sais offensively. He's speaking the truth.

It wont be a sweep for region 6. Was it a sweep for Region 6 last year. No i think the 2 teams that it came down to in week 3 of playoffs was between a R5 and a R6 team.. Region 6 wont have it easy this year. But neither will Region 5. I think the 1st three weeks of playoffs games between these regions will be smack mouth football. Im ready to see what Fairview can do against other powerhouse teams.. they proved they can play this year winning the Region 5 championship last night. IT was a well played game between 2 really outstanding teams. 2 great running backs head to head. It all depended on how the defense of both teams played. Fairviews defense made 3 really big plays. 1st one was an 84 yard fumble return by fairvies DE. Second one was a stop on 4th down to turn the ball over with 3 min left in the 4th . and second was the last play cheatham had when Langley threw the ball up only to be intercepted for the 1st time this season by the safety. It was a good game for both offenses. So region 6 be ready to play the hardest football games youve had to play all year. Goodluck to both regions though for making it this far already and congrats to Fairview and Huntingdon for winning their Region Championships.

You guys have to be feeling pretty confident about your chances, after all you have seen Cheatham on film for several weeks now. Cheatham has not been able to see you guys on film because you guys play every region foe one week after they got through beating them. If I remember you correctly, then I know that you have been preparing a gameplan on Cheatham for several weeks now. I also know that it makes you feel kinda confident to see how the past two opponents of Cheatham have crammed the football down their throats. I will tell you not to expect the same type of game as last year Jsmack. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Cheatham fumble the football to you guys on like three out of four plays. They laid the ball on the ground on two straight kick returns then once they finally got a return without turning the ball over the quarterback fumbled the exchange. The Cubs handed Fairview 21-points in last year's game but Fairview also gave the Cubs a free touchdown when they fumbled a kick return that was scooped up and taken in for a score at the beginning of the second half.
No one ever gives another team points unless the literally hand them the ball. Point is the kickoff for fairview smashed the return man for Cheatham every time he touched the ball. Fairview forced the fumble and recovered. If u ask me fairview earned their own points.

OK 1st off.. Fairview will have to enter this game with their heads in the right place. They know cheatham is going to be tough. Cheatham is playing on their senior night after losing to county rival Sycamore. Cheatham is going to be ready to play hard and get revenge from losing to Fairview last year. Fairview and Cheatham match up very well.. Both of these teams should go deep into the playoffs. One of them should have a good chance and possibly make it to 4th round if not farther. I know im always for fairview but im sorry guys im going to have to say cheatham comes out on top. i have 3 reason. 1. Their hungry for revenge after losing in an upset against Fairview last year. 2. They just lost to their county rival. 3. Its their senior night. Fairview has it tough this year. Theyve already played Loretto and lewis county on their senior nights. But like i said Cheatham comes away with the win. Final Score?

Lol fairview screwed up amillion times in that game the only time yall did something right was on ur 1st two scores the reason we didnt score was cuase of our lack of discipline we had to many penalties. not your gameplay. IF we played yall righ tnow we would dominate throughout the whole game. So stop talkin about how good you are. BEcause your not good at all.

Actually Lewis Co. is not promised 3rd yet, if they lose to Loretto and Loretto wins both of their last games then Loretto would be 3rd. Their is also a possibility of Loretto finishing 2nd if they win out and Fairview loses their last two. So nothing is for certain in region 5.
But everyone celebrate CBarkley is gone.

You know something Bertier, I'll be the first one to admit that I was wrong about this region altogether. BTW, who did you have finishing as the #4 seed in region 5-2A??? The main reason I picked Lewis County is simply due to the fact that they crushed Loretto two weeks ago. Loretto is a 4-3 football team that beat Giles County by a touchdown a few weeks back. Unless I'm mistaken, Montgomery Central only beat Giles County be a score of 10-7. Do you all know who Montgomery Central beat a few weeks ago??? FAIRVIEW!!! I think that Montgomery Central had two backs go for 100+ yards in that game against the mighty Yellow Jackets. The past two weeks Bobby Martin has carried the ball less than 10 times for well over 100 yards in both games, BUT the fact of the matter is that Fairview was playing Waverly & Harpeth. For whom does the bell tone today folks??? Looking a whole lot like Gerry Bertier & CoachNeg to me!!!
BTW Gerry, how in the heck are you going to accuse someone of posting on here way too much when you are still making posts at 2:39 AM in the morning??? CoachNeg, I never back out on bets so I'll advise you to go ahead and make your lasts posts while you still can because at 10:00 PM tonight it's ADIOS AMIGOS!!!
by the way if im not mistaken bobby rushed well over 100 yards against MC also. We came out sluggish on defense on their 1st couple of drives. Our defense lined up wrong which was our mistake. We took ourselves out of the play. Well we dont make mistakes anymore. and how long did it take cheatam to score 35 points on Waverly .. 4 quarters.. how long did it take fairview to score 35 points on waverly about 15 minutes. so if you want to go by facts there they are. Fairview 1st team was out of the game with 6 mins to go in the 2nd quarter. They got in there scored 42 points in about 18 min and then let the young guys have some fun.

Hey you can never pick a team by how bad they beat a team and how bad another team lost to them. Example. Adamsville got killed by Huntingdon,Adamsville beat Peabody,PEabody beat Milan, infavor u would pick huntingdon over milan cuz adamsvill ebeat a team that beat milan.. Well that wasnt the case milan came out and won. SO look at the facts football is football what was in the past was in the past anything can happen on a friday night.

well all that i am going to say is this is going to be a key game for both teams not just Richland or just Waverly both teams have had a bad season...so both teams are looking for a win..however yes if Richland comes out on fire and running on all cylinders then yes it will be an interresting game but just becouse Richland dose score 1 or possibly 2 times on waverly in the first half and waverly only scores 1 time dosent mean the tigers will give up...Richland is a good football team i will give them that...they just are missing a few key players just like waverly just missing a few key players either way Richland be ready becouse when we get there tomorrow be ready for the tigers becouse they want to go to playoffs just like yall do...bring "A" game and we will bring "A" game and good luck to you guys and may the better team win..good luck.. thumb

I was thinking the same thing. Is there anybody from Region 5 that can go deep into the playoffs? What about Lewis County? Don't hear much from 2-A football from that part of the state... Lipscomb, Alcoa, Tyner, and Goodpasture will always field good teams that year in and year out could make it to M'boro.
Fairview has a real good team this year. They should be able to go deep in to the playoffs. Everyone believes Cheatam Co. will be the star of region 5 but its funny cuz they lost more athletes than we did this year, and well we beat them by 2 touchdowns last year. So for real is Fairview ever going to get any recognition.

This may be Fairviews best team EVER, and lets just say this isnt the best LC team they've had..... and the funny thing is, LC is STILL gonna beat Fairview... just like they ALWAYS do in EVERY sport, its their nature to lose to the panthers, they can't help it, its how they always have been, and its how they always will be.....
i doubt that my friend. id have to say '91 and '92 were their best teams ever.

A little advice to Creekwood dont go in this game underestimating MC. We ( Fairview) did that and got our buts handed to us on their 1st couple of offensive series. So go in this game to play hard. MC is very beatable. Fairview should have crushed them but like i said we just werent prepared enough and our heads werent in the right state of mind. So Creekwood. Goodluck and MC goodluck too!

what do u call hillwood u idiot.. for a non region game.. stop posting crap ur so stupid. we played a team tougher than any team cheatam has played. So face it and except it.First off, Westmoreland will NOT beat East Robertson this season. Secondly, Davidson Academy is NOT a terrible football team folks. The DA Bears lost to CPA by the score of 19-7. I promise you folks from Fairview that CPA would certainly beat Mont. Central by a whole lot more than 12 points. Finally, you just said that Fairview "will show who the better team is" referring to the Cheatham game in two weeks. I say that your prediction is welcomed because it is your OPINION and I respect that, however how come you get to have an opinion favoring Fairview to beat Cheatham while my opinion of Fairview losing to Lewis County got bashed on. The fact of the matter is that you got a bunch of hippocrites on here that get mad over the least little bit of stuff. BTW Gerry, did you see the way that Jacksonville State ran over UTM this past Saturday??? That is just a sample of what Cheatham may do to Fairview if you keep posting stuff like that, LOL!!!! Westmoreland nor Mont. Central will be heading to the playoffs this season, however I do feel that East Robertson, Davidson Academy, and CreekWood are well on their way. How bout you schedule somebody a little bit tougher than Hickman County for a non-region game??? Sycamore is having a horrible season, but they are still good enough to beat Hickman County by a few scores and that folks is also the truth. Lewis County wins this football game on "Senior Night" in Hohlenwald, end of story!!! -
J. Webb is definately DI. He not only makes great plays ( I've never seen such a big kid jump so high) he is such a presence that he opens up the game for all of Mt. Pleasants other weapons. And they have quite a few.
