  1. Mccallie is definatly the most underated team.  I am a high school football finatic and i understand that people dont talk about them much because they are a private school and because of this they do have some advantages.  In 2001 Mccallie scrimmaged riverdale and beat them 28 to nothing, this is a fact.  Mccallie has tried to play teams like riverdale and Ooltewah but they just wont play Mccallie.  The Division II AAA is the hardest division in state, they get the best kids and make them better.

I completely argee. most of the best teams in chattanooga won't play mccallie. Two years ago, my senior year, we had to drive eight hours to play in Florida because that was the only game we could get.

  2. Here is the deal with Jacques Mcclendon. I had to block him when he was a 10th grader and he has the pontential to be a great college football player because he is incredibly strong and quick. i would compare him to Demonte Bolden or Greg Smith (both played at Tyner and went to UT & Auburn respectivly). when Jacques went hard on a play he was impossible to block, but he tired out after the first quarter, thus he loses a lot of his dominance. Once he gets in college he will get in shape and lose some weight. Watch out SEC.

  3. Mccallie has been listening to Powell players talk $### for a long time at summer football camp. I went camp with Powell for three years and I am extrmely glad that Mccallie and Powell are playing this year because now Powell has to back up all that talk. They won't be able to do it. Powell's lines will be bigger than Mccallie's but Mcallie is out weighed by everyone they play. Powell can't run with Mccallie and you will see Mccallie knock Powell all over the place. Mccallie will be ready and get up big on Powell, then the second stringers will come in for Mccallie and Powell will leave out their starters and get two cheap touchdowns to make the score closer than it really is.

    Mccallie 42

    Powell 21

  4. Knox Catholic has no business being in the super seven or being ranked higher than Mccallie. Did you know that Mccallie and Knox Catholic had an agreement to play each other in 2002, 2003, and 2004. but after Mccallie beat them so bad in 2002, Knox Catholic dropped Mcallie form their schedule. So, if Knox Catholic had not dropped Mccallie we could have seen these two teams play.

  5. The one thing that is missed is this. The way teams get better is by playing better teams. Mccallie was not a good team until they got into the super seven. Since the compitition is so high it made Mccallie get better. Mccallie's first year in the Super seven they were 1-9. But, after that year they got better. They did not shy away from good teams. They just got better by playing good teams. I believe that Ooltewah could do the same thing. Their is no question that they have as good if not better athletes than Mccallie. If they played those really great teams (Brentwood, MBA, CBHS) year in and year out; than they would learn how to elevate their game to another level. That is what happened to Mccallie.

  6. I can end this stupid arguement. ya'll tell me any starter on the mccallie football team and i can tell you why he is at Mccallie. If Mccallie recuited, why has their line's average weight been 185 pounds over the past two years(I think it is about up to 195 pounds this year.

  7. He never played varsity. He played on the Freshman team and practiced with the varsity for two weeks. I know that everyone can improve, but I never saw an effort from him to be a good blocker. Correct me if i am wrong, but a halfback for ooltewah is not expected to block on a lot of plays.

  8. Sorry, my staements about Dwayne seemed harsh. I was a Junior when he was a freshman at Mccallie. He did not make the grades because he did not do his work. he is plenty smart to succeed in school. i am not saying Dwayne is a bad player; I am saying that he is not a good fit in Mccallie's offense. Believe it or not the most important thing for a Mccallie halfback to do is to block.I don't think Dwayne has this skill. Now he is in an offense that takes advantage of his great speed. Dwayne will be a good player, just don't think that he would of been a good Player in Mccallie's offense
