  1. You Obviously haven't read any of my posts.. When a Ridger steps out of line I am the first one to call it. Especially the one you're trying to bring up.. Mr. Balls If you have a thug-Say it. Don't make excuses.. I sure don't.

You are as pure as the driven snow. You must be a very boring person.
  2. An Oak Ridge fan talking about sweeping a crime under the rug is funny. At least this young man wasn't a trusted educator/coach who was asked to leave for "certain" reasons only to return to a hero's welcome. That calls for a swifer in your own neck of the woods!

  3. Goldballs, how any players do you think we have walking the halls that might contribute?

Anyone who plays another sport but doesn't play football is where i would start first, then i would look for the big kids. any kid that might have played sports early then quit i would check on. last i would ask the city of clinton for a garbage truck to start a recrutiing service like maryville has. :thumb:

  4. I have not heard what Stone will be cocentrating on but he has been working with some of the skilled players. As far as our offense goes I don't think we have the personell to run that type of offense. But that is only my opinion and I have not heard about any changes being made as of yet. Have you?

would 2 yards and a cloud of dust work. I think spreading out and throwing the ball around gives clinton a better chance to win next year. I agree, some more skilled players are needed. someone needs to rattle the halls at the high school or start a recruiting service like maryville has. oops that slipped out.

  5. Is booster club just for football or all sports. If it is for all sports ,then someone needs to form a Quarterback club just for football. Have fund raisers just for the football team . Sell the cards that most schools sell for $10, discounts from local business on back , have each player sell 10 of these . have each player sell 4 adds in a footbal program for $25 each. Then use booster club to pay for big items needed such as uniforms. just some ideals. One more thing, if someone is willing to give up their time for a booster club or QB club that is great thing. Someone who doesn't help with QB club or booster club then wants to tell everyone how it should be done needs to get involved or be quite.

  6. From what I hear a former Dragon QB was helping Andy this year and all he did was complain about everything, he was undermining program to benifit himself and not the kids. He showed up when he wanted to and was finally let go after showing his a%% at a game late in the year. Clinton has things in place to make a turn around and compete for a playoff spot. Booster club needs to come together for the good of the kids. Give the coaches your support. Everybody needs to understand one thing Middle School football is alot different than High School football. Kids are bigger they workout and they make a commitment to get better. Everybody work together and things will turn around.

  7. Ok we all know Maryville is in a class all of its own in Tennessee high school football. They are penciled in as 4A state champs each year. With this in mind it is very odd to me that they arent producing atleast 2-4 solid D1 prospects each year. Now this is not a knock on the program at all, it is a testament to the coaching and discipline. Even in close games against Knox Central they make just enough plays to win. This year rivals top 20 players from Tennessee has 1 players from Maryville, that being Tyler Maples ranked 15th.Last year they had 0 players in the top 20..I know a few years ago they produced Carl Stewart who starts at Auburn and Cade Thompson who will be a career back up at South Carolina..Alcoa has produced big time prospects but gets waxed by Maryville..Why do yall think the lack of either talent or recognition is occuring?

Maryville plays for goldballs , not to see how many D-1 prospects they can send to college. :thumb:

  8. Why would clinton wont him to stay around The offense has gotten worse. The guy puts the offensive line in position not to suceed, He has a inexp QB throwing the ball 40+ times a game, The qb gets sack 10+ times a game because of the offensive line has 5' between center, guard and tackle. He cannot produce any running game at all. Cannot teach kids how to pick up a blitz. Shoot the middle school or little league coaches can do better than that. I have no problem with Andy hes doing the best he can he just needs better assitance. It didnt take Kerr long to figure this guy out now did it. This guy has set clinton football back 2 years I vote to send him back to maryville fast before he destorys all the hard work Andy has done.

You must be one of the guys that quit when it was 95 degrees in july. I vote you go back under your rock.

  9. If you think a coach would not leave anderson co. for clinton you and Kerr are both crazy. Kerr is a joke , he had two young coaches leave because he is crazy. they didnt get fired , they were not attached to anderson co. so they didnt have to put up with his crazy actions.

    clinton 21

    powell 10 :D

  10. Clinton 21

    Powell 10

Support your coaches at Clinton and things will turn around. I watched Clinton 2 years ago , wrost team i seen that year. Now they are headed in right direction. Clinton has good young players and a couple of young coaches who want to do well. Start this off season and work hard all thur the summer and goods things will happen.

  11. I think if the players would buy into the system it would help the team. By system i meam summer workouts, qb -recievers throwing durning summer. players not quiting when it gets hot in late july. parents need to support coaches. patting kids on butt and saying thats okay doesnt work. I think the coaching staff needs to get on kids and let them know it is not okay to mess up. it is a big difference coaching jv on monday vs coaching the friday night games, you cant compare these games. i think a good off. line coach would help for next year. Stand behind coaches and the system and better things are to come. The region Clinton plays in is the toughest in the state, then throw in Oak Ridge and Anderson Co. Alot of teams would run from a schedule like this. I know William Blount would.

    Go Dragons!!

  12. Your right Reddevil. Russ Rutherford was the best passing QB Halls has seen in some time. I think he holds most of the passing records. Mike Helton he was the go to receiver because he hold most of the Halls receiving records. I think he caught 13 passes in one game for around 300 yards. We barely have receivers that catch 13 passes in a season for that amount of yardage.

Trivia question who was the team that Mike Helton gained that many yards on thirteen catches?

maryville 1998 but still lost to the best rebel team ever

  13. Hard to believe this thread was in danger of slipping off the first page ... I guess losing to Bearden has changed the perception of this game to some . I don't think it's changed anything for Maryville though , we know that Central has been our measuring stick now for several years , and we still expect this game to be the toughest game of our regular season . Maybe Central was looking ahead a little , who knows , but I do know that Central has too many good athletes who have played in several " Big Games " , plus too good a coaching to be taken lightly !

I anticipate another classic , and wouldn't be a bit surprised if this is just the first of 2 that we'll play this year . Good luck to Central , you have Maryville's utmost respect , as always .

it is hard to believe you keep a job being on coacht so much! i sure hope maryville wins so you dont run out of crying towels! i dont know of any poster that is as big a crybaby as you!
