You are right bigchief, I believe that is what the head coachs at cheatam county schools are going to do. Unfortunate for the kids but it has to be done to stop the school boards from messing with the atheletic programs. Also they said they (the board members) may make the assisstant coaches pay back the supplemental pay for this year if they decide to stop all sports. The asst. coaches get paid over a 12 month period, so the supplemental pay is in their checks now and for the rest of the year but the board might try to make them pay it back. They could decide to finish out the sports year for this school year but if they take a stand now, (like they are doing), it will have alot more impact.

I do not personally know the McDaniels but my family will keep her and her family in our prayers. Rick88

I probably sounded a little biased in my first post but the bad calls went both ways, against Lavergne and Riverdale. Like I said before, Lavergne could have still won the game if they had played better so they have only themselves to blame but the officials seemed like it was one of their first games. They were calling penalties when there wasn't a flag on the field, calling multiple penalties when only 1 flag was thrown and the infractions would have had to happen about 30 yards apart (on a pass play). I could go on but you get the idea.

Did anybody that uses this site go to the Lavergne vs Riverdale freshman game on 9-9-04? I know we are all human and can and will make mistakes but this had to be the worst officiating I have seen in a very long time. I am not saying this is the reason that Lavergne lost because they made their share of mistakes but the officials were terrible. I could write several paragraphs about the blown and out of the blue calls made but I just wanted someone else's opinions if anyone at the game reads this post.
