Again, for some reason, we were hot the first half and we were leading going into the third quarter. But we let #14 hit five threes. We settled mostly for forced three-point shots tonight. Well all we can do is move on and look towards Daytona Beach coming up.

Well, Thursday night we will have a very tough game against Twin Springs. Anyone's thoughts?

Very nice win tonight against VA High. We have made it to the championship game tomorrow night, which is suprisingly against Abingdon. I know that #40 for them is physical, but we should be able to pull out a win tomorrow night and sweep the tournament. Thoughts about tonight or tomorrow anyone?

@ 8:30 tonight against the hosting team, VA High. Should win this one and get a rematch against Boone in the finals.

Tonight we play Honaker @ 5:30 in the first round of the VA Tourney. I don't know much about them, but if everyone gets prepared we could win this tournament. Please come out to support us tonight!

The only player that we might have trouble with is Derek Nave. He is the 6'0" guard who won the dunk contest earlier this year. Cougars by 10-15 points.

I agree because Toler is a team leader out there and makes the other players work harder. He always seems to find the open man and is not selfish at all. Beverly and Leonard just need to keep up what they're doing so we can get the top spot in the conference.

If Central could get both post players going at the same time and get Weatherford the ball, they would be hard to stop.

Top three teams in the conference: Sullivan Central, Happy Valley, and Unicoi Co. All three teams could lose to each other. Do you all agree?

It seems to me that Unicoi Co. is the team to beat right now.

I agree with and1baller. It seems that it's either Beverly or Leonard getting hot, not both at the same time. But I've heard that practices have been going well recently with them, both working together and should start putting up big numbers. Toler should be back soon I heard he went a little longer at practice today. If both posts click at the same time, any team in the conference can lose to us.

Just to keep the thread going, let me know your thoughts about the season now and the season ahead of us.

I agree with you 100%. The talent level for this team is very high. I feel that Beverly and Leonard are holding their own in the post positions. Both of them are averaging around 13 points a game. Buchanan has done a tremendous job in place of Toler. He is an all-around athlete that can contribute in many ways. Weatherford will come around as the season progresses. Sanchez is doing a good job at point guard and is on his way to breaking school record for assists. Hess has come off the bench as a sophomore and contributed. McCoy plays great defense.

No the Train did a good job though he rebounded well, but he can rap.

That will just give us more time to practice and get a good win against Elizabethton.

Good win against Johnson Co. last night. Final score was 87-38. Scoring wise, Beverly did outstanding with 19, Leonard had only 9, Sanchez stepped up and made 9 quick points for a huge boost. Buchanan did good as well. The whole bench stepped up, including Josh Housewright. What are your thoughts? hvwarrior - If you all take care of Fraizer, you all can beat them by at least 20.

I was wondering if Jay Hughes will be playing in tonight's game, and if he is still on the basketball team because I saw in the Kingsport paper today he has been accused of sexual battery?
