Seems like everybody is on the 'Central will be bad this season' bandwagon. But I guess you're used bandwagons, right 'USC'??? Gabe will be a top player in the conference. Just wait and watch.

man it's been a long time since i've been on here. central will do fine this year. no one in their wildest dreams expected us to go to state last year. i know that nate has got alot better and hess is always physical and can score from anywhere. phil is always on top of his game and i know my boy gabe will probably lead the conference in ppg. guys go out there and don't think about getting back to state just play one game at a time and good things will happen. make sure noah does his pre-game rituals. good luck this season guys.

Tonight will be such a good game that I can't even predict a winner. One tough thing will be is if Unicoi brings their fans up, then that could mean that Happy Valley could actually have a little advantage. But, Central's referees should make all the right calls. Central needs to stop Caldwell and try to get Carroll to flash out of the middle. Good luck to both teams.

All I'm saying is that those calls he missed could've changed the game... we only lost by two. I'm not here to argue or say that we're better than you guys - it doesn't matter. I think that you and us are the top two teams in the conference and that we're both better than Unicoi, and that they were luck to beat you guys. You all have better talent inside than us, and have a couple of three-point threats just like we do. This has been an exciting conference and I would hate to see it end. Good luck in the rest of the season and for now we should concentrate on Unicoi, and we'll see you all on February 8th.

Actually there was a referee that was fired from the TSSAA after the game because he wouldn't call the offensive fouls on Bowman. But, he didn't just call bad against Central, because I heard he also called a horrible game the next night wherever he was.

I was very impressed with Webb's play last night. He fought hard for those points... he reminded me of a snake in the grass searching for food.

Leonard finished with 12 rebounds last night. Yes, I thought we stepped up with Weatherford out. It shows that the team can win without him which is a very good thing.

Home game tonight @ 7:30 against a good Volunteer team. We need to contain Fraizer and Hughes, and most of all play solid defense. Thoughts?

Good call on that one, CHS795. If I am right, didn't Carroll say in the Kingsport paper that a big difference in the game was when Central's two posts were on the bench?

Great job coming back in overtime last night. Tonight is the big one. Hope everyone is prepared as best as possible for this game. It will be a good one.

I will be honest. It will be tough going into Happy Valley tonight with the top place in the conference on the line. But, I believe that this game will be the best of the season. I also believe that Central playing 3 games in 4 days is a good thing, because I believe that we are loosened up a little more and won't be so stiff. If Central can get their priorities set and play like they can, they can pull this one off. This one will be close... I can't predict a score.

Central knows it has South tonight these are just some people who are looking ahead in the future. We have prepared for tonight's game. It will be a good matchup.

Central has been clicking as a team. If their defense can improve Hampton won't even get close, but I see the Cougars winning by at least 10 points.

Central beat Unicoi last night, which gives them a tie for 1st place with Happy Valley.

Great win last night against Unicoi. We came out in the 4th and got the job done. Now we are tied for 1st in the conference with Happy Valley, who only beat Elizabethton by a point last night. Thoughts about the game?

Good job Cougars in the Sunshine Classic. We finished in 2nd place after a tough game against the host team, Atlantic High School. Congratulations to Beverly, Leonard, and Buchanan for making the All-Tournament team and to Weatherford for getting the 'Most Outstanding Player' award. Hopefully this tourney has made us a much better team. Next up is Unicoi @ 7:30 on Tuesday night.
