I don’t see the Cyclones scoring 20 points. In two games they’ve barley scored half that. Do you think the Vikings defense is going to be any less of a challenge?
You are right when you say “this isn’t as strong a team as the Vikings of 05”. But let me tell you … their O still possesses the potential to strike on any given play. One thing the Vikings didn’t loose in comparison to last years team is SPEED on both sides of the ball! They are stride for stride as fast as last year’s team if not faster!!! I just don’t see Elizabethton being able to keep up the pace.
Jeffers is good … but we all know that and every opponent will be prepared to deal with him. Unless they come up with another weapon don’t expect to surprise or run up big scores on any of the ML teams.
I see a hard fought game coming up (especially for the first quarter and a half). But the Vikings will catch their stride and pull away from the Cyclones.

What the Virginia High game did for the Vikings is give them confidence and momentum going into their first conference game. I would much rather be going into a big game being 1-0 as appose to 0-2 regardless of who my opponents were. What kind of reverse psychology is that?? These are kids … to them losing is losing!

Of course, we see it differently. Tn High was a much more powerfull team in '04 and if you don't realize that, you must have not lived here. You are one of the very few people who expect a blow out. Every has opionions. That's what CoachT is for.
You, in particular, have given the Cyclones some good bulletin board material, and I appreciate that. We respect the Vikings and wish them good health, but we also feel strongly that we will beat you Friday night in a very tough game. Shaping up to be a 'hot' contest.
As far as being your biggest rival, we choose to see each game that way every week. You're next and we have readied ourselves for conference play by who we have taken on in week 0 & week 1.

I played on the team last year so i know.
I also know that betsy isnt as good as they were last year. So unless they play a no mistake perfect football game the outcome will not be close

This is '05, not '04.
Whoever wins, there will be no 'run-away' by either team. Respectfully spoken, there are more than these two as contenders this year. You will see.
Cyclones 20-14, and I hope the Vikings come in looking for a blow-out.
Competition steps up your game and the Cyclones have had a good dose of that.

It is 05' but that doesnt matter b/c the vikes will still whip up on betsy. I hope the vikes come in lookin for a big win too b/c they r gonna get it.
I agree there r more than just these two teams this but it is still a big rival game and it is.

Besty vs THS
This is the game that everyone works hard for over the summer. No matter what this is always one of the biggest games of the year for each team. I always love Betsy week.
I have seen both teams scrimmage this but i havent had the chance to see them in a real game situation. Betsy really did not impressed after the talent they had returning at the skilled positions. THS is young but that D is still quick to the ball and the offense is coming together as a unit. Although the line is young they r anchored together by Miles Hite who is a three year starter. The Wr's have good hands and r quick. Booher is becoming the leader of the O he along with shaw and bell will take it to the carter county boys and come away victorious.
I know the D will be fired up ready to go.
SO all i gotta say say is i dont care where the game is played b/c the vikes r comin to dominate.
Take it to em boys. Leave everything out on the field this ones a big one.

I have grown up around everyone of the North starters and I've been playing football with everyone of them since i was in the 2nd grade until I was in the 9th grade (moved to nashville after that). I know what they are capable of. I know all of them and they have been waiting a long time to show what they really have and this is the year that they will suceed at that. Go get em Raiders!! thumb

East is probably at the bottom of the state, but I dont hear those guys going around saying they can beat anyone. I mean you guys thought you stood a chance against Maryville...that was proven a hope. You think you are the best in Tennesee in everything, but in basketball you will be lucky to make it out of the region.

Bristolboy, Bristolboy....I believe Sullivan East beat you all last yr and I didnt hear any of them mouthing off like you are. As a matter of fact none of the schools in this conference have the bad sportsmanship that Tn high does. Yes there is talent on that team and good guys that given the oppurtunity to sit in the stands would not act like the "some"Tn High fans. Furthermore I dont know any ahtletic director or Principle in the conference that would let fans mouth off cuss words at players or give a big #ell yea aftr a cheer from the cheerleaders. I attended the Tn High football game against Sullivan East and was astonded how the Tn High fans acted! From what I understood the East guys that had to stand on Tn high side beside the Tn High players got spit on & tripped ...come on how can you be proud of those kind of actions?? As far as Sullivan East...there is some talent on that team also but for some reason they fall apart at Tn High...we will see how they do on home ground.

East is a joke at every sport they are terrible at basketball and they were way overrated in football. You all are just jealous of THS since they have better athletes and better teams than u all will ever have. So just quit worrin bout THS when u should worryin about maybe winning a game. OK!!!!!!!

I didnt see any post play when i saw them play they got out rebounded and out scored from down low and they had 9 or 10 shots blocked as well the just seem to me like they cant shoot the ball in the ocean if they were on the beach.
East shouldnt even be in this tourney b/c they are horrible and when i saw them play and i only saw one player on their team with any talent and that was a Sophomore point guard who the coach wont play and i have no clue why he wont play him he is the best shooter on the team and can handle the ball great and can make things happen on offense and defense. If u all wanna start winnin u need to start scorin more than 5 points in a half.

Brian Terrill from Tenn High. He's 6"5' and can shot the lights out of it. He's averaging about 24 a game and play inside and outside and is probably the most underated player in the state.

The vikes are playin good ball right noe Terrill is scorin over 20 a game and Shaud is getting his shot back everyday. Evan Dodd Mackie Chapman Chris Perrigan and Ty Harmon are capable of puttin up 20+ any night so hope u play good defense or the vikes will stop u.
