First of all, my feelings aren't hurt because I'm not a Cherokee Chief. Secondly, I'm sure Cherokee had respect for the 1A school when they defeated Cherokee. Now, however, is a new season and a time for respect to be earned again. Once Cherokee soundly defeats Cloudland then Cherokee will have earned the win and respect. I'm not trying to be cruel by saying that Cherokee will win big---I'm just being realistic.

Congrats to the JV team on their win against Sullivan North 27-0.

Those Cherokee boys will absolutely destroy Cloudland, and for good reason. Afterall, Cloudland liked to run it up the past few years. Cherokee won the first meeting between these two schools and this week Cherokee will win again. Only this time it will be a huge blowout! By the way, whoever said that Cherokee will run the wing t should check their play history. The Chiefs have been running from the Ace set and like to throw a lot more with their QB. Hawkins County boys will win by at least six touchdowns unless they decide to run the clock out in the fourth with the wishbone.

Who are the freshmen playing this week since last week was cancelled?

Central doesn't seem as tough this year. This should be another exciting and close game such as the one with Crockett. Central is going for only a second win while Volunteer is searching for the first. Volunteer will have a good opportunity for a win this week. Hopefully, the defense will improve this week and keep Central's scoring down.

Davey Crockett 23 Volunteer 20 This was a close one which came down to the final minutes of the game.

Smoke20 / Randy Holtzclaw, What a serious accusation you made when you stated "when I graduated there was around 5 different cases in a 2 year span, when Volunteer coaches and athletes recurited players from DB" First of all, there has been no "recruiting." Case closed. Secondly, BigReno stated, "I was recruited by a certain coach to take some players tests for them! They would pass me the tests, I would do them and give them back to the players." What a bunch of BS Reno! Nobody at Volunteer would ever do that. You two guys are just making up stuff as you go along. Unfortunatly, there are probably a few people who believe that junk. If you have an axe to grind with somebody or some people at Volunteer then talk them personally and tell them how you feel instead of making up fairy tales.

Isn't it interesting. Everytime somebody states something to Whacko, then Whacko simply says the same thing over and over. Whacko always says something like nobody understands what he is saying. Its seems that Whacko always attempts to escape criticism by stating that others misunderstand him. Get over it WacJac! Quit saying that you never said this, that or the other. You may say things directly or indirectly, but your messages are understood. You need to work on your debate skills if you want to stay on this board!

Monday started with a JV game against East. East held on 14-12. Lets get off this East talk now and look forward. The freshmen play Crockett on Thursday and the varsity battles it out on Friday. Hope this week goes better than the last.

Very classless coaching Sullivan East. When you coach around these parts, respectibility means a lot. Unfotunatley, the coaching staff at East isn't respectable.

The Freshmen team won their third game 28-0 over Cocke County. Friday night should be a close and interesting varsity game. Volunteer should be able to bounce back from these previous losses and do much better this week.
