From what I understand the Jesse kid knocked Johnson out a play before CC scored the 40 yrd td. Did anyone see that? I sure did. Johnson layed there for like 2 minutes and we thought he was hurt. And he sat out the next play. I guess he just wanted a little pay back. Don't blam him. You LC people really can't say Chris Johnson is "classless" because he's not. Johnson isn't the type of player to give cheap shots for no reason. If you say Johnson was giving cheap shots, maybe you guys were not really palying attention to the whole game. Malone07, you're seriously ignorant. Johnson had 88 yrds the first half and would've had more if Jesse lay on the ground for 2 yrs and act like he was dead. He wasn't mad because LC was "dominating" them. People who act like that and try to injure other players is someone called Jesse Johnson.

Jesse Bowman is out for the season and Johnson is suspended for the next game. I understand him being ejected from the game but not the next game.

If the cougars want to win, then the defense needs to get their crap together.
-
So, who's the new defense coach at Campbell County?

I wish the LaFollette Owls the best of luck!! We hope you win it all!!

Tough game for Campbell Co. last night. They played fairely well, besides the fouls (8-1 in the second half.) Anyway, Good luck to Powell I hope they win district. Does anyone know about that wreck last night? It was pretty bad.
-
Campbell County played very well last night. I was for once pleased with Coach Pierce. Maybe he needs to do what he did last night more often.
-
What a win for the cougars tonight against Karns. Congrats!
-
Campbell County had a local winning coach who would have loved to coach at C.C. But as I understand it, hates the current principal. So he is currently coaching at Union Co. (who is in the mix for a district championship) and here we are. So you see how serious we take athletics here. Go Cougars!
Yeah, I know. Vic King. The team that went to sub-state in 2000, he coached them in middle school for a undefeated record of 33-0. Too bad we can't have him here.

Campbell County plays Seymour tonight. Hopefully they can pull off a win and hopefully they can pull off a new coach before season is over.
-
Everyone is getting sick of Lynn Pierce's crap. He's horrible. They need a coach who knows what he's doing. This guy was a good coach back in the 90's, but I think his time is up. Just like hsbballfan said, "Campbell County needs a fresh new face if they ever want to get back to what they used to be."

Campbell County = new coach.
-
Campbell County could be a lot better if they had a coach that knew what he was doing.

Here are my predictions for the coming season and some comments. And just so everyone knows, I played at Powell and I still help out with the team, so I'm obviously biased.
1. Powell: This team has excellent size, with five players 6'4" or taller. The problem that I see with this team could be maturity. Matt Hargis has as much potential at the point as anyone around here, but his aggressiveness gets the better of him on occasion and he has yet to prove that he can be a great floor general. Same with Lee Smith. Great talent, but sometimes turns into a loose cannon. If he can control his emotions, he will be very difficult to stop. Chris Connor is just a sophomore, but has loads of potential. In fact, he is further along than either of his brothers at this age, and they were both Division I players. Chemistry will have to be just right if this team hopes to achieve their goal of a substate game.
2. Karns: The anti-Powell. They shoot it great, but have little size. They have the best player in the district in Fersner and he could lead them to the title. They also have a real good home court advantage. Very loud student section.
3. Clinton/Oak Ridge: Clinton lost a lot to graduation and transfer, but they reload there. I am sure that they will be very good, but not nearly as dominant as the past few years. Oak Ridge has to replace the best point guard in the area. They are also considered to be somewhat down this year. Again, they reload at Oak Ridge. They will win more than they lose and could contend if they gell. They have a great shooter in Younkin.
5. Halls: Great point guard, what else? Borum has never impressed me during a game, even though I know he can shoot the eyes out of it. He needs to be more mature. People in my neck of the woods are buzzing about this team. I'm looking forward to watching them, but I'm going to have to see it to believe it.
6. Campbell County: Another team people are talking about. They have been bad since 1994/1995. Campbell County will have to show me something before I give them the respect that they want.
7. Central: Took Farragut to Double OT in a scrimmage. That surprised me. They have a disciplinarian over there. I know they will play hard, but I question the talent level.
Campbell Co made sub-state in 2000.

If Campbell Co. plays well, it could be a pretty good game.
