It was a good game at East with McEwen coming out on top by 8 or so. East and McEwen have both gotten better and it should be another battle. Any Predictions?? I say McEwen by 7.

McEwen came out on top once agian tonight in Nashville. And once agian, Nashville Christian fans tied to start crap with McEwen fans. When your teams getting their butts handed to them (in front of the tennesean by the way, check it out tomorow) thats not a good time to start taunting from across the court as some of the NCS freshman (I guess they were freshman, all of the seniors were in the front rows) where doing tonight to try and follow in the ever-so impopular Jarret Anderson footprints. But dont worry, Anderson was there tonight on our side, behind his daddy's players still as classy as ever. Turns out, he was harrassing some of our sophmore girl basketball players that were over there. Anyway, it's prety pointless to talk about them, because no matter what you say, NCS will allways be the least classy teams in tennessee (at least 1A). Oh, and by the way, Congradulations to the Warriors on their 16th win of the season.

McEwen toyed around with NCS in the first half as they did at McEwen. But after halftime it was all Warriors. And I think I know why Puckett did not impress White House Heritage, he saved all his juice for this game. He was unstopable in this game especially early on. A few dunks and a bunch of three's helped Puckett get about 30 points. Good game by McEwen although they should not have let NCS stay in it for as long as they did. Oh Yeah, Jarret Anderson is the biggest loser on the face of the Earth. He needs to get a life, I mean your in college man, don't you have better things to do than go try to start crap with McEwen. Well the fact of the matter is McEwen swept NCS just how it should be, now go talk about how good your little freshmen are. Jarret Anderson for gay rights!!!!

McEwen will be ready to play, unlike last time! The warriors return to their second home to win like they always do.

I notice that you NCS people like to brag a lot on a bunch of little ninth graders. This year's McEwen's senior class went undefeated their 8th grade year, so does that mean they will a state championship this year? Who cares how good you think your gonna be in a few years. Looks to me like yall need to worry a little more about now than the future. NCS was good for two years, its over now, get over it. You really need to worry about McEwen coming to their second home on Tue. McEwen's #1!!!!!

I'm sure if he cussed they would have called a tech. Even the worst of refs would have called if he cussed.

The refs were terrible for both sides. Maybe Puckett should of got T'd up but its over now and McEwen's #1.

McEwen showed up to play last night, unlike many of you said they would'nt. Players stepped up in the absence of Smith. McEwen' s defense won the game by far. And Puckett did not score high numbers because Heritage played a very good zone that kept the paint in check. I gotta say Miller did alot better than I thought he would. With the exception of Elrod, McEwen had an off night on offense. I'm looking forward to the game at McEwen it should a good one. I told you the Warriors weren't 14-1 (now 15-1) for no reason. McEwen took care of business. And I will second that East don't want the business. McEwen's on top, alone, as it should be. GO WARRIORS!!!!!!

The day is finally here. McEwen at Heritage. This has got to be the most highly anticipated district games since McEwen battled NCS for the district championship. I hope Heritage has a good crowd because the McEwen faithful will hopefully show up in bunches. This is gonna be a great game for fans, players, and everyone involved. Whoever wins is by themselves at #1.

Hey sportster, I would not give Heritage every advantage. A couple of keys people have forgot to mention is McEwen's experience. They have plenty of players who have played in HUGE games like this one. McEwen is used to playing in big games and they know what it is like. I'm not so sure the Heritage has ever played in a game like this. Young talent is good, but sometimes they can fold when the pressure gets high. Don't downtalk McEwen to bad, they are 14-1 for a reason. Oh yeah, the Miller kid, he could not even dream of stopping Puckett. He has dominated kids ten times as good as Miller.

Hey Dave, how do you suppose Heritage will be able to stop the inside game of McEwen?? Puckett had 35 against a tall East team and Heritage has no size.

McEwen is good but it will be tough to make it to state. CPA, White House Heritage, and East Robertson are some tough teams in the region. And even if they make out of Region 5A they have to play some pretty tough teams like Mount Plesant!!

I think that the way Puckett performs will ultimately decide what happens at the end of the game. If he does play well the Warriors will have a tough time. I say Puckett dominates.

Good post nator. I will have to say I disagree though, I think the Warriors have the advantage. Even with Smith hurt, McEwen still has plenty of scorers. Good teams seem to always step up when the goin' gets tough so I'm not worried about the Warriors chances if they play their game. This game will have major impact on the district. McEwen still has Heritage and East at home, and CPA, Sante Fe, (we can't leave out NCS, always seems to be a good game) on the road. Still a while until the tourey but this is a HUGE game for both teams.

I'm gonna say McEwen by 10. I don't think Heritage will be able to hang with McEwen late because they will probably be in foul trouble trying to contain Puckett. This should be a great game, both teams are tied for number 1 in the district. Go Warriors!

The district is at East Robertson this year. I would have to say the favorite as of now is McEwen but they still have some tough district games ahead of them. Hey NCSgolfer, what is not great about a 13-1 record? It seems pretty good to me.

Everyone needs to let this die. Nashville Christian got stomped and they need to get over it. And I love it how you NCS people are saying how good your gonna be in two or three years, who cares, this is now and McEwen, along with about four other teams in the district are a good bit better than you. You can't compete in the district anymore and yall need to just get used to your losing ways from the past. NCS has had a good team the past two years but it's over, sorry. Go back to being the same old NCS. And who ever called Puckett "Dairy Queen Boy" needs to stop hating on him because they are just jealous that NCS will never have a player as good as him. And one more thing, some one was saying earlier that McEwen and NCS could not compete with Sycamore, etc., who cares we play 1A and yall play 2A so what does it matter. And I wouldn't go talking all that crap because Sycamore and the others play in a pretty weak district theirselves.

Rankings only matter at the end of March, what teams do now is only practice for tourney time. McEwen will bounce back!! It's to bad NCS doesn't have to worry about being ranked or anything like that. Who did they play tonight, oh yeah, nobody cares.

I'm gonna go ahead and post about the loss before people who don't what they are talking about start talking crap. McEwen was up 19-4 with about 4:00 minutes left in the 1st. HC called a time out and after that they started making a run and McEwen got in terrible foul trouble. Puckett, Smith, and Bubba were all on the bench the remaining of the second half. McEwen's bench kept the game close all though they could not score very much. After the run by HC and the fouls with McEwen it was a one point game at the half. During the third it was a three point game and McEwen's foul trouble started to take affect. At the beggining of the fourth I believe it was a nine point game and from there it went all down hill for the Warriors. McEwen went cold and could not buy a basket. Puckett fouled out and then he got T'd up for untucking his jersey before he got to the bench. Then McEwen's coach got a T for arguing the call about Puckett's technicle. After that the game got out of control as two more McEwen starters fouled out with about three minutes remaining. The refs were terrible and they should have had to pay McEwen for reffing that game. It was pathetic, the one ref who T'd up both McEwen's player and coach was trying to put the focus of the game on himself instead of the players. But a loss is a loss and you can blame the refs cuz the game is in the hands of the players, well for the most part. McEwen suffered its first loss and will just have to battle back from a tough one. You can't win them all!!!! Go Warriors!!

No, only A and AA, but what does that matter. We are not talking about AAA. Last year NCS beat Pearl Cohn but we beat NCS twice out of three. So why should we care who you have played. Next Friday will all see who runs the district and who has been running the district for three years. Heritage is just a young team that is having some success and they don't know how to handle it. Don't let some wins get to your head.

McEwen and CPA both look good in region 5A.

I don't know how good temple is but I think that tht McEwen Warriors can beat any team in 1A, including Temple. All of the top five teams in class A could probably beat each other on any night. I have also heard a lot of talk about Pickett so maybe it will close with them.

This is a very important game for both teams. This game is kind of a battle for second in the district. The difference in 2nd and 3rd can be huge when it comes to seeding the tournament. East still has to come to McEwen and Heritage has the Warriors twice. Badly needed game for both teams.

I'm not sure what rex is talking about. McEwen is ranked 3rd on this site and 9th by the Tennessean. Maybe he is looking at the fan poll. By the way, McEwen did miss two games due to weather.
