  1. I agree! Grea season to the boys from Ooltewah. Not many people gave Ooltewah a chance this year, like goldenflake said with losing four starters, but Baker found his talent and won a district championship. Congrats! Now I hope Baker will go to work on replacing four more starters! Regional Championship next year? Great high school careers and seasons for Courtney White, Brandon Brown, Chris Foster, Curtis Porter, Will Wesbrook, Brandon Bates, and Gregg Graves. And Ooltewah has some great upcoming talent in of course Wes Murray, Jenson Morgan, B.J. Sanders, and Brian Marshall. Great season this year, and good luck next year.

  2. And props to Owlsfan10 for calling the Red Bank upset, he got a lot of flak for it and now deserves credit.

Thank you, I appreciate the thought, although I picked Brainerd and Ooltewah to play in the finals. But I knew Red Bank had Bradley's number and Bradley was due for a loss. Now I will have to give props to Cumberland, I believe Cumberland will beat McMinn, and I think it will be Cleveland and Cumberland. Although I am rooting for district 6 team Red Bank.

    Go Cumberland Co.!

  3. HAHAHA! FUNNY! But Crossville has the best fans bar none!! Get over it...don't hate!  And CC has waited for their turn to host just like everybody else so quit whinin about the travel time! They deserve the chance to host just like everybody else!

So come on up and watch 5 SWEEP 6! Or will your mom not let you drive this far?!  thumb

Alright I'll stop whining but yeah I willm be there watch the games, highly doubt that they will sweep, and I wouldn't be surprised to see three 6-aaa teams make it further, lets just wait for the games!

  4. 1st of all ooltewah will have to stop danny cumby in the region semis, which seems like an impossible task (especially with the calls that are made in the CCHS gym)

this brings me to another point, yall ooltewah fans have no idea what it is like to play at CCHS because no matter where the refs come from the calls are horrible

the last point is that the fans are extremely loud at the end of the game when it is close (trust and it will be close)

if CCHS is within 5 or tied with 2 min. left in the game you will lose

I hate all these cocky toothless cumberland fans, that think their the stuff. Just because your whole town has nothing better to do, and all of them gather together to watch ya'll, ya'll think you have fans, just be glad the tourney is in crossville, and i hope that ya'll use that to your advantage. But beat Ooltewah? It may be close but ya'll overlook one thing, you have to beat Soddy-Daisy first. And that is not as easy as ya'll think, can't wait to find out?

  5. Man! Did I affend someone? I was stating my opinion, just as ya'll clearly did. I simply said what I thought, so we have different opinions I guess we will have to wait for the games and see?! And these cumberland fans need to calm down, they think their the stuff, and why was the tournament held in crossville and everyone expect crossville has to travel an hour or two away. I hope cumberland brings all 12 of their toothless fans, O and their parents too!

  7. Ooltewah will be empty next year... no more birds in the nest.  In two years they will have lost their top ten players.  The OHS guys may not have much to cheer about in basketball next year.

They will be absolutely loaded in football.  Could be interesting there.  But this is basketball... and basketball threads.  Not much for Ooltewah to cheer about next year, so they better lay it all on the line now.

We could be surprised, last year four out of the five starters graduated and look what happened they found the players they needed and are doing really well, this year four starters are graduating, but Baker will have another dynamite team next year. They Wes Murray, B. J. Sanders, Jenson Morgan and alot of other great players coming back so don't be surprised when the same thing happens next year.

  8. This is probably the toughest region around, these teams are powerful, fast, and know how to play the game.

As for the sleeper(dark horse) Ooltewah will have that title. Ooltewah has Brainerd and Cleveland's number. Ooltewah has played both of these teams close and should have won at least one with each team.

As for the Regional Tourney, it will look like this:

#1 Bradley vs. #4 Soddy Daisy

#2 Brainerd vs. #3 Cumberland County

#2 Cleveland vs. #3 Red Bank

#1 Ooltewah vs. #4 McMinn County

    Second Round:

    #1 Bradley vs. #2 Brainerd

    #1 Ooltewah vs. #2 Cleveland

    Regional Championship:

    #1 Ooltewah vs. #2 Brainerd

Just a look, but I think it will prove to be pretty close to this.

  9. He's the breakdown:

This is how it will go down, Ooltewah will beat Red Bank in a tough game by nine. Brainerd will have their way with Soddy, and win by 13+. Ooltewah will play Brainerd ing the championship and Ooltewah finally will have their moment against Brainerd and win by three.

Ooltewah has Brainerd's number, they have played them close and have led most the games against them but can't seem to finish it. But Baker will pull out all the stops in the tourney to win finally in a hard fought series this season.

Ooltewah Becomes the District Tourney Champs!

  10. Never once in my life have I ever blamed games on the refs. Because it usually works out for no matter what team you are rooting for that good and bads calls will be made on both sides. However, over these last few games that I have been to concerning Ooltewah, I have seen some unfair advantages given to teams and not given to Ooltewah. Ooltewah besides some recent loses have been playing extremely well. I have seen some very unappropiate behavior and calling by certain officiating crews. When Ooltewah played Brainerd the second time, Christian Heritage the second game, and recently Temple. I sorry if some of ya'll feel different but it has not been pretty these past few weeks. I just really hope that some fair and good calling referees, for the district and regional tournaments coming up. Good Luck on Thursday Owls. thumb

  11. It will be an upset if Ooltewah loses.  The reason AAA schools don't like to play the smaller schools is because they fear the upset.

This game is played at Ooltewah; Ooltewah has played a tougher schedule; Temple is consistently very good in single A, but they do not have the experience of playing AAA talent week in and week out.

The only thing that will allow Temple to win this game is if Ooltewah does not play its game.

I'll give Temple C. Skogen; after that they have  no answer for White, Brown and Porter.  Then if the guards get of at all, it will only get uglier.  Wadley, Newson, and Mouw cannot answer the other three.  S. Skogen may be able to compete with Porter, but none of them has the skill of White.  Brown is lightning quick... I just haven't seen that kind of speed on Temple's team.

My belief is the game will stay close, but Ooltewah's quickness and athleticism will win over in the fourth quarter.  Ooltewah by 10

    825565050[/snapback]

I think your correct, I have ooltewah by eight, but Ooltewah is the bigger, better team. Temple hasn't played that many good teams, and Ooltewah defeated christian heritage and lost to them by one, and christian heritage defeated McCallie, who blew away Temple. So Ooltewah is a powerful team and I would be surprised if they lose.

  12. This Tuesday night, Temple will come into the new barn with motivation and inspiration to win. Ooltewah has a tough game against Red Bank on Friday and believe me that is all they are worried about. Ooltewah will be ready tuesday night though. Ooltewah has been playing really well lately. Although with tough losses to very good Christian Heritage and Brainerd teams, Ooltewah playing them close and also has big wins over Soddy-Daisy, East Ridge, and Chattanooga Central. Ooltewah has too much power and speed, I believe for Temple. With Brandon Brown and Courtney White leading the Owls, you better believe they will be ready and will win.

    Ooltewah- 79

    Temple- 71
