  1. WoW! Denlron, that is an interesting pick. So you really think it will be a blowout huh? Well, could be right, like I have said in another thread, I look for the to play the best they all season, and the trojans will be not fullyprepared in this one.
  2. Yes, Thank you, but I think your right I posted by four, but you may be right, I definately think it will be decided by four or more. Not as close as everyone is predicting. I think the Owls will be play their best yet, I don't Soddy will be fully prepared for this one. But Hey, it is just a hunch.
  3. Good Post, and your right, even though they haven't played some stronger teams yet, you can't discount an 8-0 start. Soddy is tough, and have proved that. But even with Rhea being decent, I believe the Owls will be the first true test for the trojans. I also spoke with little and big baker and they both said, "We will be ready to play" So I believe basketballisbest is right the home court asvantage will help lead the Owls to victory. Also, I think the tempo and how well Ooltewah will perform is in the hands of Brandon Brown. He is a great guard, and if he can get some good guard play going the team is going to hard to stop. Owls edge out the Trojans. Ooltewah Owls- 69 Soddy-Daisy Trojans- 65
  4. The game I saw last night was two sided. Here's a breakdown. First Quarter: The Owls came out firing on all cylinders, the played great defense and maintained a presence inside. Great guard play help guide this team early. Christian Heritage struggled from the floor, and the Owls took advantage. Ooltewah 34, CH 14. Second Quarter: The Owls cam back in fighting once again, leaving Christian Heritage behind. Though poor play from Curtis Porter, the Owls remained strong inside with Will Westbrook and Courtney White. Heritage started picking up their shots. Halftime, Owls still continued dominatince. Ooltewah 58, CH 38. Third Quarter: The Owls came out of halftime even more powerful, everything seem to be clicking, though not as many points were scored they played well and played great defense. Ooltewah 77, CH 52. Fourth Quarter: Towards the end of the third beginning of th fourth the Owls placed their second, third, and even fourth string players. Every Owls got to play. Though the back-ups for Ooltewah didn't play, Baker put the starter back in to stop the scoring. Ooltewah played sound until fourth quarter play and then lost in faith of the back-ups. Ooltewah 88, CH 70. Ooltewah players Curtis Porter, Blake McDade, Brandon Bates, and Casey Roach, didn't not play to well, though these players have great abilities, didn't bring it Tuesday night. Chris Foster showed good guard play. Though didn't score that much, he made a difference with his assist and steals on the floor. Brandon Brown played outstanding leading the Owls with 21 points, he played great at guard and led the Owls to victory. Courtney White playe well. Though missing some easy shots down low, played well, grabbed boards and finished with 13 points. Wes Murray played good, though not as well as I have seen him in the past. Other Noteables: Gregg Graves gave a stong inside impression, Will Westbrook picked up where others couldn't inside and defensively, Jenson Morgan and B.J. Sanders played well and provided some points for the Owls to feed off of. Great Game for the Owls overall, and Godd Luck against Soddy! It will be a good one!
  5. Na, it is more like this.... ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! @
  6. Soddy-Daisy comes to the"New Barn" friday night. I know people have already been talking about this match-up. (8-0) Soddy has been moving, will the (5-2) Owls be the ones to derail them or will the Trojans keep rolling on top (9-0)! What do ya'll think?
  7. Arts and Sciences is too tough, 30+!
  8. Pretty good game here but I once again pick Hixson, don't let me down Wildcats. Hixson- 59 Bledsoe- 53
  9. Boyd is a good team, but like Nokona said, Grace showed me something with the close game with Arts and Sciences, Grace rolls. Grace- 71 Boyd- 57
  10. Well, UTC is good, but I think that was an upset. But I believe the Owls better stay foceused if they don't then Christian Heritage very well could leave happy. Owls will focus and win. Owls- 72 CH- 63
  11. I am right here, McCallie is a good team, but they disappointed me on Sat. with their loss to BA. I never said BA wasn't good, I just said and I thought McCallie could play them close. Great job BA. And good luck to both teams in the future.
  12. Ooltewah should be able to pull away with a win, but they better be careful and not overlook a pretty good Christian Heritage team. With Big District match on Friday, serving as a distraction, they could be shocked Tuesday. But probably not. But I think the Owls roll on in this one. But what does every one think?
  13. Josh Jenkins for Rhea Co. can strait bust it. He has range and can hit all-around the court
  14. Very interesting propective and great point WaCoJaCo. I think your right on there.
  15. Then what are you still doing posting on this site?
  16. Definately have to go with Soddy. Already demolishing there four win season last year to starting out with a great 7-0. They have some tought tests this week, but definately most improved.
  17. Surprise teams definately would include Soddy-Daisy, I wasn't expecting much out of them this season, but thus far have proved to have a sound ball-club. Disappointing teams would have to include McMinn Co. Now they have faired well in a few games and even took one from Ooltewah, but even then I expected them to be an exciting team to play well and thus far early, haven't. And Karns would be another let down.
  18. No, I think your right they have struggled lately and it has disapointed me, but CSAS is for real theyt are a good school with high expectations of them.
  19. Don' worry Nokona, I be there and you can bet I will have a whole list for you Sat.
  20. I agree fanatic, Ooltewah needs to focus on Christian Heritage. If they are not to careful Ooltewah could be in for a big surprise. Ooltewah needs to take it one game at a time and not worry about Soddy till after the Christian Heritage game Tuesday night. With that said, I will make my predictions on the famous Ooltewah, Soddy matchup for this week. Soddy does have a great block of talent Marlboro but Ooltewah has also proved in the Thanksgiving Tournament that they have a six or eight as well, so I don't think that it will be decided right there. Ooltewah needs to focus on boxing out and getting some offensive but most importantly defensive boards. If Ooltewah does not establish a presence inside early it could be a long night for the Owls. The Owls must also be able to have great guard play and shoot from the perimeter. Like I have said before I have not seen Soddy play, so I don’t know where they so weakness, but if Soddy doesn’t buck up and play better than they did against Red Bank then the Owls will fly by the Trojans. Great game, close game, goes down to the final minute but got to go with the home team on this one. Good Luck Owls. Owls- 67 Trojans- 62
  21. Soddy is definately stout, but your right I don't think they are State material.
  22. Well said Nokona, and your right. These posts are mere opinions of what I think about high school basketball. If you don't like it, don't read it.
