"Grill on the Hill" tailgate dinner sponsored by the Science Hill Softball Team will be under the big tent in the practice field beside Freedom Hall. Hamburger, cheeseburger, or hotdogs, chips, dessert, and drink for $7. Please support the softball team by joining us for dinner from 5:30 to 7:30. All are welcome, Toppers or Tribe!!!

I would like to thank each of you for participating in the tournament. With the exception of the field conditions at Domtar on Friday I think this was the best Eastman tournament yet. Congratulations to Unicoi County for finishing 1st, Cherokee for finishing 2nd, Morristown East for finishing 3rd, Elizabethton for finishing 4th, Knox Central for finishing 5th, Hendersonville for finishing 6th, Seymour for finishing 7th and Daniel Boone for finishing 8th. Also congratulations to Twin Springs, Powell Valley, and West Forsyth for finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for the teams that can not compete in championship play. Checks for the scholarships will be mailed in the next couple of weeks. Kingsport/Eastman Tournament is April 3-5th.

The Kingsport/Eastman Invitational Softball Tournament will be held April 3rd - April 5th, 2009. Entry fee is $175. Scholarships will be awarded to the top eight places and the top three finishers that can not participate in championship play.
