  1. The powell high school football team has played very well this season! It has won big games against the so called best teams in the district. And quite handily I might add. In fact it has played numerous JV players on both sides of the ball in 4 of the 6 games. Powell should win this game going away if Mobley plays. If he doesn't, they still win but not by such a large margin. From what I understand Eskridge had to be carried off the field late in the game against Central. If he doesn't play against powell, it won't matter if mobley plays, a blow out will be in order. This could be another game that the JV guys get in, in the third quarter.

  2. Ok HTV and your South buddies...I guess they like you right now because you all havent played yet...and thanks for the grammar pointers, thats original guy...and by the way I dont know if I like you or not but I do know who you are...so keep that in mind and if you are friends with Central grads great...no meaning...but you all keep your friendships with each other HTV and South fans and we will see which has a blow up on here next week...my anticipation is South...because they think they should win as do I...so no pressure...but HTV enjoy your friday night and good luck and see ya soon...maybe the second round? :popcorneater: And for you South fans just wait and see how the game goes and see what you think...get it!!!

WOW its good to see you two kiss and makeup!!!!!!! but your womenfolk will be mad. what the funny thing is i know both you and you know one eachother yall have fun

  3. considering the conditions of the field, yes 29-12 is a beat down, and Clinton was inside the 10 twice and didnt score, props to Powells goal line defense. And i can remember last season when Powell killed clinton in the final game of the season and i saw no let down from Mr. Lowe and his staff. And if u really watched the game, Clinton dominated Powell over the course of game. So Powell is lucky that the score was only 29-12. :thumb:

I think if coach Shattuck knew how time was on the clock he would have taken a knee and been happy to get a win 22-12 considering the condition of the field.Get over it you won be happy

  4. Does anyone know if Hardin Valley throws the football?

I can only find Hardin Valley stats from the first 3 games, but they threw it about 40 times total in those three games, which is about 14 attempts per game.

I would be willing to bet that they will put it in the air this week. They have most likely seen tape of the last two games and are well aware of what Anderson County and Karns did in the air.

Honestly, Powell is likely going to see the ball in the air pretty much the rest of the season. They have to prove that they can stop the pass before teams think twice about throwing it.

Very nice call @well said HTV

  5. you should have titled this thread "Powells Problems" or " My B@#$% session on Powell" because you didnt say anything about Hardin Valley...

My Son said that the players outside are Freshmen who dont have a chance to play. He says that eliminates freshman playing around.

You are a bit vague on your problems... Please go ahead and be specific so we can discuss the true meaning of your points instead of having to guess and what your beating around the bush about...

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't this years Powell team suppose to be 3-7 or 4-6 at best?

I do not have an agenda with the post. I was simply stating my observations. This was the first game I was able to attend since the Fulton game that I thought Powell could've won. Having to work on Friday nights and Satudays I don't get to attend all of the games. It did'nt appear that Powell played as poorly as they did Friday night against Karns. I am not bashing Powell or the coaches. Some things must be fixed to win against HV or any other team. Powell seems to be off track. They must defend the pass and have better tackling and the turnovers must also be fixed. Powell has 9 turnovers in the 3 home losses and they have all come at critical times. As far as the 3-7 or 4-6 record.. I haven't heard that until you said it. It seems to me that if you have to worry about the kids outside the locker rm at half time disturbing the half time speech then why dress them? Like I said Powell has good athletes and coaches. This post was not meant to offend anyone. I am just stating my observations.
