  1. I swore I posted in this topic. Don't forget Lavergne also beat Wilson Central. Goliath killers. David thrillers.
  2. So Lavergne has beaten Wilson Central and Oakland. Giant killers. David thrillers.
  3. I go to Wilson Central too. For the girls, the thing I have much doubt in is their depth. I would say depth alone hurts them badly against a team of Mt. Juliet's caliber, and while they are a great team, when they have to play another tough girls team who has alot of depth (ie Mt. Juliet), how wil they hold up? For the guys, they need someone to take the leadership role. Last year, Biddle and Lunn were holding that team together, making the all important shots, being the charismatic leader. This year, they have been an out of control dream team. Hope that changes by FEB.
  4. Congratulations to Siegel. Also, to WCHS, They beat Ravenwood I think score was 58-36. Nathan Thomas had 19-21 1st half points and ended game with about 25. They shot about 60% from the floor and played pretty good, however, looked a bit lazy at times. All in all, a good, not great, game for WCHS.
  5. They had a guy #44 who looked pretty good who hurt us. Nobody else really caught my attention. I have to give Siegel credit on the defensive side. They were giving us the Christmas Day stuffing all night long. Shoot = block. I do have to give some credit to the refs too, though, because some of them were fouls that, for some reason, were not called. The fact that Siegel held us to less tahn 15 free throws is astonishing on their part. We literally always get our 25-30 free throws a game. They seemed to do a good job in defending our post play, that or bad officiating, but I thought MOST of them were good blocks. Siegel does kind of remind me of the WCHS team from last year, except with high expectations. Last year, WCHS was expected to be a 5th or 6th best team in district. Now that WCHS is actually expected to thrive, WCHS is having a hard time accepting those expectations. Most of these games last year they would have won. This year, they just look like they feel the increased intensity. They hurry everything up when they get down and they start losing focus on the defensive side of the ball, which leads to us giving up points. Every game that has been close they just seem to panic and don't set up their shots, make the stupidest nolook passes, etc.
  6. Seagulls 56 Wildcats 49 Im quite speechless. Wilson Central continues their inconsistent playing with horrible shooting and poor ball control all night. While the score was Siegel won by 7, it should have been alot worse. Fortunatley for Central, Siegel looked like a very overrated team theirselves, just not as overrated as WCHS. Score was 19-19 at the halftime. You would think "state contenders" could make layups, but in these teams cases, apparently not. Siegel makes their easy shots and they would be up like 35-19 at the halftime. Siegel did look alot better in the second half, and took advantage of horrendous shot selection and poor rebounding on Central's part. The loss of Jordan Calhoun really did hurt us this game. Nathan Thomas and our backup post player did nothing but foul after foul after foul until they eventually fouled out, and Siegel did great job in taking advantage of that. I find it a joke that either of these clubs can be called "State Contenders." If that is all the Middle TENN has to give in basketball, then I think its safe to say a team from Memphis will once again rise to the top. Of course, that could change by Feburary. Oh, and as for "Blue Nation," did Noah return? I hardly saw anyone from Siegel there, and for all the hype Siegel gives their fans, I was rather disappointed to see the lack of support for Siegel. Good luck to Siegel. I hope you beat whoever is in the championship with you. Winning that first tournament is always special.
  7. Central goes about 10 deep they are very deep this year compared to years past.
  8. No I mean it seems as if there are more Lebanon/Mt.Juliet fans at WCHS school then there are WCHS fans.
  9. Sometimes I think we have more Lebanon/Mt.Juliet fans than we have WCHS fans.
  10. Im guessing the Siegel fanbase just took the night off then when they played White County Its not like Siegels fanbase is unstoppable.
  11. I have this feeling that WCHS is going to completely dominate Siegel.
  12. If it were at WCHS, there may be about 10 people in our student section who'd actually show up. But being on the road, you can expect about 2
  13. Wilson Central 81 Paige 47 Wilson Central, without Jordan Calhoun the entire game and Nathan Thomas for most of the 1st half, played good today. 35-23 at the half, WCHS came out storming on all cylinders in the 2nd half, outscoring Paige 46-24 in the 2nd half. CJ Carter, who came off the bench this game, had about 22 or so points and was our leading scorer. Our 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd string players pretty much came into the game and were scoring on all cylinders. There was basically NOONE from WCHS at the game. I mean, I saw one guy I knew from school and then the player's family members and that was it. It probably doesn't help that not even once did our school administration announce that there would be a game today, and also the Tennessean listed our game at 530 today. Siegel Seagulls vs Wilson Central in the second round at 5:30 PM Monday Evening.
  14. Its this simple If WCHS is NBA, WCHS loses. If WCHS is TEAM, WCHS wins. Unfortunately, thats a HUGE if, but 3 loses and 8 days off should send some type of message to this team.
  15. Beech 50 WCHS 49 Overtime Final. I'm almost ready to just call them "NBA." I cannot believe the things I am witnessing from this team. I had a fear that at the beginning of the year they may be cocky, but this is obsurd. Why does this team do nothing but alley oops and no-look passes ALL GAME? At one point in the 2nd quarter, our starting guard/forward player missed a WIDE OPEN layup with noone until the free throw line at him. This guy can dunk it, but he missed a WIDE OPEN layup? Now, with a 41-38 deficit, Alex Perry makes a 3 with 10 seconds to go to send game to overtime. We have momentum in overtime and fans screaming. Do any good? No. We get down 50-45, then 50-47, then we steal the ball with 10 seconds left. We dribble to our end of the court, and we pass the ball to the same exact guy who missed the wide open layup with 5 seconds left (won't mention name). He is wide open for a three. What does he do? He goes for the TWO? 1.6 seconds left, Beech inbounds, game over, Beech storms court and acts as if they beat a team that is any good. Yea, they beat a team full of athletes, but they beat a team that, at this moment, I would consider a little better than Smyrna. Beech played a very weak game, especially in the 2nd half (16 points in 2nd half almost all from free throws) and WCHS still got schooled by them, proving to them YET AGAIN that fundamentals BEAT looks. They are horrible at the free throw line, they shoot very low % at the perimeter, yet all they want to do are these no look passes and crazy shots in triple coverage. Oh, and dunk/alley oop of course. Next is the Smyrna Tournament. All I can say is at least they are getting it out of their system early, and realizing that, when teams actually take them seriously, that they really aren't a very good team.
  16. Wilson Central beat Beech like 4 times last year didn't they
  17. Beech Hendersonville Gallatin LaVergne are all better than WCHS and MJHS would probably be able to give us all we'd want at the moment. Oakland doesn't play Wilson Central unless its in a tournament.
  18. That really isnt saying anything because WCHS is at best the 5th best team in their district right now.
