Boy, I can sleep at night knowing that you don't hate us!
Pup-Doggy-Dogg, you and your WC fans have been crying and making excuses ever since we whipped you in Greeneville. You guys refused to give Powell any credit for that win. WC has a very good ball team. They don't need you to make excuses for them when they lose to a good team.
Good luck to MTJ, I hope they win it all.

. All Powell fans do is "Oooooh our head coach's family member died and couldnt coach thats why we lost," which is a legitimate reason for having a down game, but when its WCHS with one of their premire players wounded "Oooooh she would make no difference in the outcome we'd still dominate!!!!!."
I really don't consider spliting a season series "handling easy."

Mt. Juliet by 20 ... They will be ready to play. (No offense Dyersburg, but MTJ I feel is ready to explode).
Ill be there tommorrow night supporting the Wilson County school GL MJ.

Don't get cocky now. Dyersburg is a great team thats a nice cinderella story, but Mt. Juliet is not Oakland or Greeneville, as tough as those teams are.
If you can manage to contain Clark (MUCH easier said than done), you got a chance.

I don't hate Powell. They just have some of the most arrogant fans (on coacht anyway).
How can you still be commenting about how bad a team is you played that beat you during the season?
Besides, a 55-26 isn't too bad against MTJ. I shoud know.

So Gassie had an off night at the wrong time. She's been the leader and been a starter on WCHS for 4 years. Like I've stated before, Wilson Central didn't play poorly overall. In fact, they played a pretty darn good game. Gassie just couldn't get any shots to go down. She was getting alot of good looks off Alamader and getting good shots but they just kept hitting the back portion of the rim, going in and out all night long. Everyone has one of those nights there is nothing you can really do about it but hope luck turns around.
One good thing you can say about this game is Calhoun. She had been slumping for awhile there during the later portion of the season but had been doing great. She is the brother of varsity guys player Jordan Calhoun and you better expect Cameryn to be a prime contributor for the Lady Wildcats in the future.

As you might expect im one of the biggest powell fans you will find on this board. I have to say that the edge must go to Mt. Juliet in this one because of the way they have played as well as the fact that they already hold a victory over the panthers. Now if im correct, the same team that defeated Mt. Juliet in their region championship is the same team that powell handled pretty easily earlier in the season so with respect to Lee Corso i will say,"Not so fast my friend. This one's gonna be closer then the experts think."
What? It was split both times and the loser was not at full strength. I do not understand how you could make an assumption of being close with Mt. Juliet by that.

You will. She was in the starting lineup for the majority of the year until Sara came back and then she just went on a slump.
Cameryn Calhoun will basically be the new Kelly Gassie for WCHS.
Don't expect WCHS to fall down next season. With Jenkins and Williams and calhoun returning, and Hall being the senior leader with Breonna Brown and Lauren Farmer fighting it out for the 5th spot, I think WCHS has a legitimate chance to make it back to back to back state appareances.

Good Game Oakland. It was one of those games where the ball just would not bounce the right away all night for the Cats. Gassie got alot of good shots, but they just wouldn't go down for her. Cameryn Calhoun, a freshmen forward/guard related to the guys Jordan Calhoun, played alot tonight and was incredible out there. She was all clutch and the main reason we were in the game with Oakland's near flawless defense.
Pretty even game but the ball bounced the right way for Oakland a few more times tonight than for WC. GL with Dyersburg. Best of luck to seniors Kelly Gassie and Kellie O'Connell in college and vice versa, and GL to all the players next year.

Ridgeway by 30? LMFAO! White Station only beat us by 17 last year and most of that was on one big run in the second quarter. You think Ridgeway is going to win by 30?

As been stated many times on this board leading up to this point, Oakland Basketball(boys and girls) just doesnt get the support that it used to, something that makes me boil with anger everytime i think about it.
Ok, now back to the game. For Wilson Central, what do they primarily like to do on offense and defense? are they deep? do they shoot well from the arc or do their post players do most of the damage?
not deep at all at most 7 deep
tremendous 1-2 punch in the post with sophomores jenkins and williams
2 good outside shooters
and kelly gassie who can do it all.

When Ridgeway beat JNS earlier in the year they didnt have starter Anthony Coman. He was ineligible. Since he has been playing i dont know if they have lost a game.
Is there a team in this tournament that has the height that JNs puts out on the floor either
6'2 Coman 6'5 Reginald and Richard Delk, 6'6 Chase Campell and Dell Coleman
WCHS has a lineup that is all 6'3 to 6'6 I beleive.

Ridgeway. Okay, here it is. Teams from middle and east tennesee pretty much play the same kind of ball and when they meet a memphis area team like JNS or Ridgeway, it is a whole different kind of game. It works this way for the memphis area teams as well. They have to recognize a new type of play, most of the time it is a great 3 point shooting team. I think this is what will happen, but in Ridgeway's favor.
Now, don't get me wrong. This does work in the opposite way. Take the 1998 AAA state championship for example. White County put on a clinic for White Station with their three point shooting.
WCHS is anything but a three point shooting team.
Theyre more of a smash mouth team with excellent defense and an offense that has been struggling as of late but has alot of potential.
Also I think Siegel is more like a smash mouth team too.

I highly respect the MJ coach he is a great coach.
I know Coach Brandon personally and from watching the girls basketball games and he is also a classy person and coach. This talk about him being not classy is a bunch of mierda.
If anyone lacks class maybe its the MJ girls freshmen coach who took it 107-7 on Lebanon.
But then again, if Lebanon really didn't want the score run up on them, can they not just stall the ball for the rest of the game? Until you concede in defeat, your in battle. Of course, if they are trying to stall or they still have their starters out at this time then they are just scum. -
Ummm Harris I've been to one Siegel game and you had about 2 people there in your student section so maybe you shouldn't be talking.
I'd love to be talking come 2nd round of state though
As far as WCHS, they played SLOPPY tonight. They only gave up 35 and played tremednous D but their offense was just sloppy it was like they saw those new Burger King commercials before tipoff and it frightened them.
