Congrats to G-Devils on the Region 1 championship good job and good luck in C-ville.
I may be coming down to watch. G-Devils 39-36 over D.B 119 was the match that put
it away for the Devils. 112 was a really good match Adam Mann stepped up and wrestled
Mr King a really tough match. Both of the Mann men have a big gas tank. Devils have
several kids that can score some points in mid-Feb. Locklear took it to Usary for 5:00
tonite then ran out of gas. King Locklear Myers Joel and Charlie are ready. Work on
conditioning and bring back some hardware.
Gilliam from D.B. upset Akien tonite good match. To bad Devils can't wrestle in small
school where they belong. They will compete in large but would have a real shot to
win the small division. Who does S.H. wrestle from reg. 2 and where.
Locklear did wrestle a good match against Usary but to say he "took it to Usary for 5:00" just isn't true. After the first three min. of the match Locklear had about a 7-8 point lead and had a chance for a pin in the first period. After that he was outscored by 9-10 points before getting pinned midway thru the third period. (It reminded me of an old Jason Ricker/Bo Usary match) I can't even see how you could say he ran out of gas when he didn't wrestle in the first match against DB. (Usary wrestled the 140 match against MW) I hope they don't take this the wrong way because I have nothing but respect for the Greeneville coaches and wrestlers and I wish them all the best of luck. I just don't think conditioning had anything to do with the outcome of that match.

The only thing I can add is that the tournament is not called The Science Hill Inv. but The Fandetti Brawl. It is a memorial tournament held in honor of Scott Fandetti.

does anyone know why there was a double forfeit in the 3rd 4th place match at 140??
My guess would be that one or both wrestlers already had five matches for the day.

CAN SOMEONE GIVE THIS OLD MAN SOME DIRECTIONS TO REGIONALS I HAVE THE HARDEST TIME FINDING HIGH SCHOOLS
If you go to the coacht homepage you will see on the left of the page a link called studyhall. Click on that and it will give you a listing of every school in TN. Click on the school you are going to and on the top right of that page it will say driving directions. You can get directions to any school in TN. that way.

Science Hill won the Greenwood Invitational in Greenwood, SC today.
The Hilltoppers scored 267 points. Clover SC was 2nd with 220, Hillcrest SC B team was 3rd with 200.
Champions were Jonathon Pearce (103), David Williamson (152), and Ben Murray (285)
Adam Jones was 2nd at 160
Matt Drish was 3rd at 135
Javier Tapia was 4th at 112
5th place finishers were Richard Tapia (125), Leland Davidson (130), and Michael Goldstein (140)
Scott Fandetti Brawl will be held at SHHS on 1/13
Usary was 4th at 135 and also won his 100th match at Greenwood.

I'm sure the coaches are at the hospital now and will give more details later. I just wanted to give an update. Bo was at the hospital tonight and told me Jason Ricker (125) had 60 staples put in his head and Kevin Galloway (215) is having surgery on his spine now. Keep these young men in your thoughts and prayres.

I heard that Brett weighs about 120 and I don't know about the other weights but I am positive that Caleb will win 119
Brett is at 112, Grant and Caleb will have some great matches this year as always. I think both will come home in Feb. with medals.

Congrats to SD and both of the Fuller brothers. Two region champs, I'm sure their family is very proud. I had two sons place 1st in Region 1 this year so I know the joy that two region champs bring. I also have a third son who is a region JV champion this year. Please don't think i'm honking my own horn, I'm just very proud of all of my boys. Everyone involved with this sport knows the ammount of hard work it takes by these young men to become a region champion.
Again congrats to the Fullers and SD, I know you guys will do your region proud.

I was told that Grant broke his knee cap jumping on a trampoline and will miss the rest of the season.

I was impressed with Science Hill's 275 going 3-0, pinning all of the wrestlers he faced. Big Ben may turn a few heads in a couple of weeks if he wrestles like he did in Clarksville.

Clarksville finished 3 pts. ahead of Science Hill at the GIT and won 58-18 vs Harpeth. Collerville lost to Cordova. Rossview lost to Harpeth and Ravenwood.
Farragut was 54 pts. behind Science Hill at Catholic.
My question is why are Collierville, Harpeth, Rossview and Farragut all ranked above SHHS? I'm sure you have a reason, just wondering what it is.

Science Hill over Crockett 69-6. The only loss for The Hill was at 89.

I didn't see the punch from the stands but Grant had Lawson on his back when it happened. It didn't look to be anything too major. It did cost SE two team points.
Science Hill won 72-2.

Why has Ryan Fuller been ranked 2nd at both 125 and 135 the past two rankings?
Is he bumping up and down or is it a mistake?

Usary was wrestling at King but is now just working on bringing his grades up to par. Kole is ranked #3 @145 in Coach Bray's rankings and has been as high as #3 in Matman's rankings. Rankings are @ tennwrestling.com and tennesseewrestling.com. I do know he won the North Knight Inv. and was 2nd at the Fandetti. I think he's been in the finals of every individual tournament SE has wrestled in this year. By the way, it's nice to see you back on CoachT Zeke.
