Usary was wrestling at King but is now just working on bringing his grades up to par. Kole is ranked #3 @145 in Coach Bray's rankings and has been as high as #3 in Matman's rankings. Rankings are @ tennwrestling.com and tennesseewrestling.com. I do know he won the North Knight Inv. and was 2nd at the Fandetti. I think he's been in the finals of every individual tournament SE has wrestled in this year. By the way, it's nice to see you back on CoachT Zeke.

Locklear did wrestle a good match against Usary but to say he "took it to Usary for 5:00" just isn't true. After the first three min. of the match Locklear had about a 7-8 point lead and had a chance for a pin in the first period. After that he was outscored by 9-10 points before getting pinned midway thru the third period. (It reminded me of an old Jason Ricker/Bo Usary match) I can't even see how you could say he ran out of gas when he didn't wrestle in the first match against DB. (Usary wrestled the 140 match against MW) I hope they don't take this the wrong way because I have nothing but respect for the Greeneville coaches and wrestlers and I wish them all the best of luck. I just don't think conditioning had anything to do with the outcome of that match.

The only thing I can add is that the tournament is not called The Science Hill Inv. but The Fandetti Brawl. It is a memorial tournament held in honor of Scott Fandetti.

My guess would be that one or both wrestlers already had five matches for the day.

Click on the school you are going to and on the top right of that page it will say driving directions. You can get directions to any school in TN. that way.

I can add one.... If your mom ever pulled a police car over for speeding ....... you might be a good wrestler.

Can someone tell me when Warren Co. and Antioch wrestle , or have they already wrestled ? If so, what was the outcome ?

Also, is the match at William Blount ?

Usary was 4th at 135 and also won his 100th match at Greenwood.

I'm sure the coaches are at the hospital now and will give more details later. I just wanted to give an update. Bo was at the hospital tonight and told me Jason Ricker (125) had 60 staples put in his head and Kevin Galloway (215) is having surgery on his spine now. Keep these young men in your thoughts and prayres.

Brett is at 112, Grant and Caleb will have some great matches this year as always. I think both will come home in Feb. with medals. Hey Zeke, I thought Kole broke his foot.

Congrats to SD and both of the Fuller brothers. Two region champs, I'm sure their family is very proud. I had two sons place 1st in Region 1 this year so I know the joy that two region champs bring. I also have a third son who is a region JV champion this year. Please don't think i'm honking my own horn, I'm just very proud of all of my boys. Everyone involved with this sport knows the ammount of hard work it takes by these young men to become a region champion. Again congrats to the Fullers and SD, I know you guys will do your region proud. Good luck next weekend. thumb

I was told that Grant broke his knee cap jumping on a trampoline and will miss the rest of the season.

I was impressed with Science Hill's 275 going 3-0, pinning all of the wrestlers he faced. Big Ben may turn a few heads in a couple of weeks if he wrestles like he did in Clarksville.
