  1. The wrestling team at Maryville receives almost 0 support. Our matches are not announced to the students, and our AD wears a Maryville BASKETBALL shirt to our home matches, and he only stays as long as he has to. Our wrestling team is more successful than our basketball team, yet we dont get any credit, and our lockeroom is cramped while the basketball team's lockeroom has leather couches and big screen tv's. I can guess the other larger schools in the region hardly receive any support either.

What happened to McCroskey the 125/130 of Seymour?

King(130) of Seymour lost to William Blount in the consolation semis. I'm not a 100% sure, but I think McCroskey came down with the flu. He lost his first match to a kid from Powell on Friday, and he didnt come Saturday.

  3. Maryville can throw. They just have to set up the run first. Plus, Alcoa is going to be pretty worried about Maryville's running game. Hunt and Burnett have been impressive, especially Burnett he has a cannon. Maryvilles defense is going to have to play a good game. But, I think in the end it will come down to the 4th quarter and Alcoa is going to be tired because a lot of their players play both ways, and Maryville is going to keep pouring it on.
  4. If Warren plays it will definetely give Maryville's defense something to worry about along with all of the other weapons Alcoa has, BUT Maryville's defense is too good. With outstanding linebackers who have the experience, also a defensive line that can by far hold its own against anybody around here. The defensive backs are fast and hit hard. Alcoa will have terrible field position every single possession because of Maryville's kickers. The only thing i see Maryville having a problem with is offense, and still our O-line is smaller than last year but strong. Our running backs will giving Coach Reid a headache by the end of the game trying to figure out how to stop these guys. Maryville's QB's can be awesome, but Maryville's defense just has to set the offense up with good field position and let GQ deal with the rest. I'm predicting a low scoring game. Well worth the price of admission and then some.

    Maryville 17

    Alcoa 14
