  1. Daniel Norris the pitcher you speak of is a lefty.
  2. I'm telling you Riverside has not recruited or brought in any kids for their baseball program. Riverside is just an example of developing players and being able to replace what you lost without a dropoff.
  3. Hey commander calm it down, we all know he cant pitch every game during the season. However Riverside does have a solid option at number 2 and 3
  4. Remember that Stephen Gant has pitched for this team 2 years now and is still only a junior heading into this season Through 2 years he is 27-2.
  5. Until two years ago the Riverside baseball program hadn't had much success going deep in the playoffs since the 85 team. In the 2009 season Riverside did get a new coach and at the time the roster had 7 seniors and 2 juniors. There was also about 3 of 4 freshman/sophomores that contributed significantly. This team made it to state and loss in the championship game Last season the team had only 1 senior and the lineup was put together from remaining players. This team made it to state and won the championship. Riverside has 1 feeder school and that is the middle school. This year they return everyone from last years team except their starting catcher who was a senior and that is why they are considered by many to return
  6. Yea broad axe thats just how things go. Obviously this person is a jealous Scotts Hill fan who is mad because they are 15 minutes away from a state championship. Don't take your frustration out on a message board. IF you are a player get in the cage and take a few more cuts and fly balls, IF you are a parent then let the whole Riverside - Scotts Hill thing go because Scotts Hill will not compete with Riverside in baseball for a few more years.
  7. Yea i mean there is no way to change the format and make everyone happy. You can't guarantee your going to get the best 8 teams but thats the way things happen. I just know in years past some teams out of the east haven't been able to compete.
  8. This doesn't mean anything. They are in two seperate regions and will not meet till state if they make it. Lake Co is just as good as Perry Co and that would be another good matchup. What really stinks here is 2 out of the 4 team out of Humboldt, Lake Co, Middleton, Westwood representing region 7 and 8 will not make it and they are all state tournament quality teams. The four teams mentioned above are if they of course win tomorrow night.
  9. I think there are a few schools from the west that will compete. Westwood,Middleton and Lake Co
  10. Class of 2011 - Daniel Norris, Nicky Delmonico, Philip Pfeifer 2012- Stephen Gant
  11. So after last nights games the matchups will be 6:00 #4 South Gibson vs #1 Scotts Hill 7:30 #3 Madison vs #2 Middleton
  12. Good point I fully agree. There should be two freshman starting in this years lineup and the others able to fill in as needed
  13. Riverside is the clear favorite in my opinion. They lost 1 senior starter to graduation and the rest of the team is back with an improved bench due to some talented incoming freshman. Gant is the best Single A pitcher in the state and Ryan Fisher came on strong throughout the second half of last year and tournament time so he should be the go to number 2. The lineup is stacked just like last year so watchout for the Panthers of Riverside to make it back and win it all.
  14. Idk the full lineup but I know Clarksville Academy has some definite size between the Smith boys.
  15. Adonis is a senior and is headed to the University of Memphis next year
  16. Stephen Gant - He is the best pitcher in Single A
  17. Siegel is the best team in this great district.
  18. No not all. I read threads to find out about the game and players. Not about the other stuff that I have wasted my time reading what you guy have been saying.
  19. This should be an excellent game to watch as I think both teams will be ready to play their best game of the year. The average fan would obviously pick Mckenzie in this game but Im gonna go with Riverside as I know they are out for revenge after being sent home by Mckenzie last season. Good luck to both teams and may both teams stay healthy.
