yes sir, poor ole elizabethton has 5 times as many students as little cloudland and i would almost bet my life that if they played cloudland would kill them. unaka isent even worth mentioning, their glory days on the basketball floor are finally over... the boys in blue are now reaking havoc on all other carter co. schools!!!

a twinkie sounds pretty good right now actually, and i have thought about making my own site. it would be a big free for all between all carter county schools, no post shut downs, no blocking language... i think it would be a pretty cool thing. but i guess ole coacht will have to do for now.

blueeagle, if you will look back through the thread i believe you will find that it is people like you who instigate others me the king and rangerbook with your remarks and we are the ones blamed when the thread is getting shut down. i'll admit that we do get a little out of hand at times but it is always because of someone who has nothing to do with either school that the thread is about (like you blueeagle) that gets on here and deliberately pisses us off.

i will definately be getting there early. i know how crowded gets up there its crazy. both teams have really good fan support, it will definately be rowdy for the ole county rivalry, thats for sure. i like the way hamptons gym was built too, i dont know about it being the best in east tennessee but i like ours better than any gym in carter co. as far as the layout of it goes. the only thing about hamptons gym is that we dont have as much of a home court advantage because the people arent packed in like schools that have smaller gymnasiums like at cloudland or unaka, we are starting to fill it up more this season. i'm expecting a good hard faught game tonite and may the best team win.

it will be hard for hampton to win this game tonight reguardless of how much they won by last game, the game being at cloudland makes a big difference they play much better on their home floor. hampton will have to play very well to win and if they win tonight are bound to loose to cloudland in districts or regionals... its hard to beat any single team 3 or 4 times especially one as well coached as cloudland. i hope hampton wins but i think the odds are against us tonite.

i dont know if the earlier bost had to do w/ unaka, but they could improvise a little if players arent hustling they could be benched and the team could do just as good.

yes sir, kiss your basketball and football programs goodbye unaka, if you even consider those kids out there in the ugly uniforms a real football team, i've seen flag football teams that could enialate them... hampton and cloudland will always be the top dogs of carter county for years to come just like we have always been. we both have a strong football programs and the pride is back in the basketball programs. what is there for you guys brag about now? "well we gotta good softball team" hahaha nobody cares about softball uhh, except maybe sportiemom she seems like the weird type who would actually waste her energy to go watch softball, better known as the most boring sport of all time. i'm going to go ahead and predict a blow out when cloudland plays unaka in football this year, i dont even feel the need to comment on the game when they come to J.C. Campbell Stadium. unaka will then see what a real football team looks like, you guys cant get around playing us now. i know that cloudland and hampton are working hard during the offseason... unaka just better enjoy their girls softball team haha thats all they are going to have to brag about. i cant wait until football season gets here

i was just looking for a web site earlier today where i can watch video of schools around in around the carter co. area, like player highlight tapes and stuff. does anyone know where i could find a site that would have any of this on it, or any good high school football sites in general? i would appreciate any help, thanks

i also think region 1 will be strong this year, cloudland will be much improved, they dont accept failure and thats a great thing thing, i hope they have a good season and beat unaka to death. it would be nice if one of us 1a schools could get a gold ball in east tn where it belongs. i'm expecting cosby to be good again this year if they can get that qb broke in they play with alot of heart, good luck.

Hampton High School its hard to put these in order from best to worst. Jerry White-state champ signed with south carolina Leon Tolley-state mvp Barry Phillips-best all around athelete to come through hampton Milburn Ellis-all time scoring leader Randy Waycaster-when he stepped past half court he was in range note: i think that Kevin Harrison would be one of the top players to come through hampton if he wouldnt have had an acl injury before his senior season. He was an excellent athlete.

i look for hampton to have a big time signee in 6'7 330lb. offensive lineman steven roop next year.

oldeagle, i agree with the return of marco dailey at mt. pleasant they will be tough to beat, hampton will suprise some people. loosing jonathan and adam hurt us a little but some players are going to step up and suprise some people. i'm sure fcs will be competitive being that they are a private school and everything, i would love for hampton to meet them in the playoffs again this year. gordonsville is a team to watch out for they are a good all around team from what i saw last year they could beat any team in the state on a given night. tc is always going to be a good ball team expecially come playoff time due to their excellent coaching staff. hows your boys at cosby going to do this season oldeagle?

my view on this matter is theres hope for players who are no good and players who do not hustle. coaches who put time in it and work with the weaker links on the team can mold them into contributors with a little individual help and preaching fundamentals, not turn them into star players but players you can put in the game that wont hurt the team. in reguards to players not playing hard, i think that a good coach will change that as well by successfully motivating their players and always pushing them to do better in practice (where it all starts) and week in and weekout before the games. i agree that the coach is blamed for loosing a little more than he should be whether he has a good team or not. however, a good coach can turn less talented teams into competitive teams, and inspire kids who wont play hard to play hard for 4 quarters. there may be some rare circumstances when a coach will have an absolutely nothing at schools like clinch that just dont have the ability or number of students in their school to choose from to beat a mediocre team, but i dont see any teams in carter county that lack the players to beat another team in carter co.; they may lack the coach. look at what coach smith has done at cloudland, that prooves what a difference a good coach makes... thats just my opinion.

just face it, unaka is the dumbest school in the county.... test scores proove it. i've got better things to do than post on coacht all night, so go study hard rangerbook and maybe, just maybe one day you will be the smartest creeker up there, and thats saying a whole lot..
