Who in the region, RB wise, would you compare HV's running back with? I hear he's a big guy with some speed. The Davis kid is a good receiver and CG will have to compensate for all the skill guys that HV has. CG's skill guys ain't too bad either though. In the game against Claiborne, CG had 6 different guys catch passes. For all of you NCAA Football buffs (Playstation 2) you get bonus points for having 7 different receivers catch passes!! What it all boils down to is whoever wants this one more. Both teams seem pretty evenly matched. The big uglies will play play a huge part in the game as well. They both have to give those qbs time. I think it will be important to establish some sort of running game for whichever team wants to win. Right now it's a chess match. Which D-coordinator will outsmart which O-coordinator and which group will execute better. This is as exciting as it gets and I can't wait to be there on Friday!!!! CG-35 HV-28 Panther Pride!!!!

Oh I know first hang that SG is tough. We barely escaped with a win against them. They're fast and very strong on defense. I'm glad we got them over quickly!!!

CG's db's are pretty good. They'll have to be on Friday to stand a chance. HV's receivers are quick and can make plays. I agree that pressure on the qb will also be key. The defensive front will have to come hard. I think it will be a good game to watch!!!

The South Greene game was by far CG's worst offensive outing, but also their best defensive outing to date. The offense has gotten a lot better since then. The defense has been up and down. The real key will be which defense shows up to play. Will it be the defense that shut down Claiborne, or the one that got ripped to shreds by Chuckey-Doak. Only time will tell!!!! That's a fair assumption. Homecoming, big crowd, region champs, HV clicking. I think the Gap's o-line might surprise ya a bit. It's a little tougher to get to hoskins than you would think. What about HV's line, can they protect very good? I don't know much about them. And do you think they will try to run the ball against CG? I still think CG wins in the end, but it will be close. This is a big one for the boys from CG. They are coming off a big win Fri. against arch rival Claiborne, 37-6. Happy Valley is coming off a loss to a pretty good Johnson Co. team, 20-14. Both teams are undefeated in region 1 2A. You got two pretty good defenses going up against two pretty good offenses. This one will be a dog fight, with whoever wanting it more in the end coming out on top. Once again, defense will be the factor in this one. Who will stop who in the air. HV threw the ball 55 times against Johnson Co. last week and CG threw it 25 times against Claiborne. So we know both teams can and will air it out. Also, another key will be who can get a running game going. CG also rushed for 145 yds vs. Claiborne. Not sure about HV but I think they got a couple of very talented running backs. HV blew out CG last year 41-0. That should linger in the Panthers' mind when they take the field on Friday night. It outta be a good one!!! Better bring a sleeping bag though, this one could last all night!!!! I think that the Gap will play good enough D and come out on top in this one, though it will be a shootout!! They are hungry!! Just two days away from the "Claiborne County championship". Im looking forward to seeing how focused each of these teams will be come into this one. I'm sure that each team has friends on the other one and those guys will be trying to best each other the whole night. I'm looking for a good clean hard hitting ballgame with a lot of defense on both sides. I'll stick with my prediction on this one though and say that the Panthers will outscore the Bulldogs. C-G gave up a lot of yards to C-D and a lot of points. Yeah they may have scored on your young guys, but your older guys gave up a whole lot of yards. You better be ready to defend against the Claiborne running game. Looking forward to this one this week. I still think that the better defense will win this one. Both teams come into this game with 3-1 records. But you know as well as I do, you throw out all the records when two big rivals play each other. Both teams have a common opponent in Chuckey-Doak. Claiborne beat C-D 35-14 and Cumberland Gap beat C-D 53-34. Once again, this game is going to come down to defense. Can the Panthers stop the Bulldog's running game and can Claiborne stop C-G's passing attack. Whoever plays the best defense will win this game, period. C-G had trouble on Friday from what I hear tackling and lining up. They will need to get these things fixed in a hurry if they are to keep up with Claiborne. Claiborne handled Union Co. on Fri.
